"eliza!" angelica yelled as she was putting in an earring.

eliza jumped up, "what?!" she squealed.

"morning." angelica responded innocently. eliza groaned and flopped back over.

"really, eliza you do need to get up." peggy said.

"why?"

"it's 9:00!" peggy shouted in shock. this alarmed eliza.

angelica, eliza, and peggy were supposed to be home by 9:30 and their home was about 40 minutes away from laurens home.

"oh god." eliza groaned as she slipped on a blue skirt and white shirt and tucked her shirt in. she wore tan sandals and packed up all of her things quickly, making sure not to leave her necklace and asking angelica if she would clip it on for her.

it was her mom's necklace, so the sisters cherished it, even though it was eliza's, that's what they decided since eliza looked best in it. but they all loved it, and they did figure eliza cherished it the most.

it was a silver locket with a picture of all three of the girls with their mother when they were very little. eliza looked the youngest, but peggy still was. eliza was grinning sheepishly in the photo and had a few missing teeth that she was very proud of as a child. angelica was still looking the oldest, and up to their mom's height, peggy was just a little bit shorter than angelica, but still taller than eliza by an inch or so.

eliza smiled as she and her sisters gathered their things and set off to leave the home. they walked downstairs to be greeted by laurens and alexander who were sitting down in their pajamas drinking coffee, probably talking about politics.

eliza smiled at hamilton and he returned it.

"morning, girls. you guys leaving?" hamilton asked sounding a bit sad.

"sadly, yes. morning to you, too." eliza whined and alex scoffed which eliza nudged him for.

"sleep well?" laurens asked.

"well i know i did." angelica groaned and peggy nodded in agreement.

"well, that's good, what about you eliza?" laurens said. eliza wasn't paying attention, staring off into space, or... the floor.

"huh?" she mumbled and looked up, alex looked at her concerned.

"you okay?" he asked, you could hear the concernment in his voice.

"y-yeah, just tired." eliza lied. she was a good liar, but she guessed alexander could see right through her because he asked to see her in the other room alone, she followed, looking at her hands the whole way there.

"what's wrong?" he whispered.

"n-nothing, i just said that." eliza reponded.

"you're lying, eliza. i can see right through you." alex stated.

"well you're the first." eliza mumbled.

"ooh im special." he said with pride and she giggled. "well im glad i made you smile."

"you're a dork." she teased, he gasped.

"eliza! so mean." he laughed, she nudged him again and he grinned.

"seriously though, what's up?" he said again more serious.

"i- i just-" she started as a tear rolled down her cheek which alex wiped away with his thumb.

"what is it, love?" he whispered.

"my mom died a year ago today, i know my sisters are sad about it too but they're really good at covering things up, their feelings, emotions.. meanwhile i'm n-not. im s-sorry." she was full out sobbing and alex was holding her tightly.

"it's okay, eliza. you have the right to be upset. i was upset when my mom passed. i get it." alex whispered this made her grin.

"thanks, alexander." she smiled.

"anytime, love." he grinned, and opened the door for her to leave the room.

alex stretched as he woke up to the buzzing alarm clock in his side. he turned it off and groaned. it then hit him that he didn't ask eliza how she was last night and he felt really bad, he didn't text lafayette nor mulligan either. he was guessing the last contact was angelica.

he looked at his phone to see what time it was to make sure he wasn't gonna run late by making a few calls.

next was... aaron burr? why would he be texting alex? weird....

aaron burr: what happened to laurens?

you: that was a bit sudden. idk the deal w/ laurens. said he'd talk to me today. (i might tell you the info on our p-call later)

he went to the phone app and sighed longing to talk to eliza. he tapped on her contact and sighed as the phone rang, and almost instantly stopped as he heard eliza's voice.

"alex?" she whimpered in, he could tell she was crying.

"goodmorning love, are you okay?" he said concerned.

"not really, it's been r-rough." eliza spit out.

"i know love, how is peggy?" he asked softly.

"better, i got her some hot cocoa and she's watching a movie downstairs. don't you have w-work t..though?" she stuttered out, still obviously crying.

"late start, i might come over to your place, if that's okay. i just need to make sure you're fine, love." he said and laughed which she giggled back at.

"i'll have to notify angelica but that would be very nice." she laughed and cried through her words so it came out as a big mess but alexander could understand what she was saying.

"okay love. ill see you then." he whispered.

"you too, alex." she whimpered as he hung up.

she texted him her address and after he packed, got the ice cream and coffee, which he kept in his car, he drove to eliza's place which wasn't far from his.

he finally reached their home and rang the doorbell, eliza opened the door in a long faded blue nightgown, her eyes were red and puffy and she had obviously been crying her eyes out. she grinned and threw her arms him which he returned.

"hi, love." he whispered, figured he should since peggy was a room over very upset and watching a movie.

"hello, dear, come in." she smiled, and opened the door for him, stepping out of the way.

they entered and alex said hi to peggy who just sniffled, smiled, and waved. they then went to go see angelica.

"hey alexander." angelica said and gave him a side hug.

"hey angie." he whispered.

"eliza, can you go check on peggy i need to talk to alex." she whispered, eliza nodded and walked downstairs.

eliza felt a pang of jealousy; it was small, but it was there. her and alexander weren't a thing, why would she be jealous? she groaned to herself and softly tiptoed downstairs, entering the room with peggy to check on her.

she sat next to her and put an arm around peggy as she nuzzled into her shoulder.

meanwhile, alexander and angelica were having a very strict sister-to-boyfriend-yet-not-really-boyfriend-yet talk.

"do you like her?" angelica asked straight up.

"what?" he said/asked in shock.

"do. you. like. her?" she said clearly.

"eliza?" he said again, in shock.

"yes, eliza!" she screamed.

eliza could hear it from downstairs, she got nervous and decided to go up to see what was going on. it was 5:56 so alex had plenty of time with them.

she walked to the room they were in and pressed her ear to the door.

"um... i-i don't know." alex mumbled.

"you don't know if you like my baby sister?" angelica said with a 'really' voice.

"i-i mean she's nice, and kind, and pretty, so - wow. i do like her." alexander said and eliza's eyes widened.

why would he like her? she was an emotional dumb 90% of the time he saw her and they have only known each other for a day.

"i knew it!" angelica squealed, which made eliza fall back into a chair as a vase broke and some glass cut her face.

angelica and alex could hear the ruckus so eliza very quickly made an excuse as the door opened.

"eliza? are you okay? what are you doing up here?" angelica looked down at her sister.

eliza didn't know, but she was crying. it hurt, it stung, she couldn't help it, but her face was too numb for her to be able to feel the tears rolling down her face, and her vision was too blurry for her to see her eyes water up.

"i- i heard someone scream so i came to see what happened and i fell and fell- i-into the chair.." she cried.

alexander wiped her tear, and a bunch of blood smeared over her face. eliza could see red, only red. but her sister was looking at her with very scared eyes.

alexander slowly tried to pull the glass off her face one by one, it hurt eliza and she screamed every time alex pulled one out, peggy was up there with her by that time too.

eliza screamed again and alex stroked her cheek, shushing her softly. angelica and peggy watched from afar.

alex was still picking glass out of eliza's face and when he was finally done, blood was everywhere, her whole nightgown was stained red and she a bunch of cuts on her face.

alex got her a warm towel and started cleaning her face.

"love?" eliza said softly.

"yes, liza?" he whispered.

"i heard some of what you said with angie." eliza admitted.

"how much?" alex said and blushed.

"enough." eliza said and shocked alex the most.

she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips, it was full of love, full of passion, and both of them felt helpless in that very moment.

meanwhile, peggy and angelica were squealing in the corner.

i finally started their relationship. i think this injury is just a start to this story. enjoy ;)
