Before they could 'borrow' the car, they needed the guards' schedule to know that when exactly would be the best time to take the car away. Initially, Xander and Alexa were supposed to go get the schedule. It would have been easier for them to do so considering that it was their house. However, there was still some risk as the schedule was most probably kept in the Alpha's desk in his office where Alexa and Xander were not allowed to go in.

Unfortunately, about fifteen minutes before they were supposed to take the schedule, Xander and Jeremy were called. They Alpha wanted to talk to them about some important matters regarding the pack. They couldn't not go, so it was left to Maddy and Alexa to get the schedule before lunch.

While the Alpha was busy talking to Xander and Jeremy, Maddy and Alexa decided to take advantage of the time when the Alpha was preoccupied and go and take the schedule. Should have been easy to do that, right? Wrong. They didn't have any trouble getting into his office. Diana was at some friend's house so they had the house to themselves. The door to the Alpha's office room was locked but the key was among the bunch of keys for the rest of the house. There wasn't any other security so, Maddy and Alexa entered the room easily.

It was then that the problem arose. The office was messy to say the least. It would have looked really fancy had the room not been filled with sheets of paper. The walls were whitish cream in color and all the furniture was coal black in color, giving it a very sleek and modern look. At one corner of the room was a table and there was a huge bean bag across the room. Alexa immediately went up to the bean bag and started bouncing on it.

The problem was finding that specific piece of paper. The room was literally filled with papers. Stacks of papers were piled up on the table with some even spilling on the floor. Opposite to the table, was a cupboard with a see-through glass. Inside that too, were various files filled with papers. Maddy suspected that the only reason those papers were filed was because of Diana. Maddy groaned inwardly knowing that it would take hours to go through all the papers in the room.

Alexa chuckled. "Dad isn't exactly the cleanest person."

Maddy snorted. "No shit, Sherlock. So, I'll take the table and you take the cupboard?"

Alexa nods. "Sounds good."

The two of them get to work. Maddy took a bundle of paper and sat down on the chair. She started reading the first few lines of the paper to check if the it is the schedule they need. She made a separate bundle of the papers which were not of use to them. Most of the papers were the paperwork that had to be done because of the damage done to the Valencia hotel.

By the time they did stumble on the schedule, Maddy had to use her fingers to keep her eyes open. They had spent about an hour in the room when Alexa called out to Maddy.

"These are the ones, right?" she asked as she handed over a file to Maddy.

Maddy went through the papers and saw that the first few of the papers were the most recent schedule while the papers at the back were previous versions of the schedule. She took out the first few sheets and handed the file back to Alexa. The two of them quickly put things back to the places where they were and exited the room.

"Why don't you guys just use a computer?" Maddy huffed once they were a lit away from Alexa's house. "Makes things so much easier and less messy," Maddy said stretching the 'o' in the word 'so.'

Alexa shrugged. "Dad doesn't like using technology. Werewolves are generally old fashioned that way. Though once Xander becomes the Alpha he will probably switch things up."

The two of them make their way to the cafeteria. It was already lunch time. They were late by ten minutes, in fact. When they reached there, Xander and Jeremy were nowhere to be found. Even the Alpha wasn't there.

It was about an hour later when Alexa and Maddy were sitting on Maddy's bed and going through different werewolf stories that the door burst open and a panting Xander came in. Maddy jumped at the sudden sound. Before she could say anything Xander started talking.

"Alexa, you need to go. Jeremy is waiting for you."

When no one moved, Xander started explaining. "Some rogues got into trouble with the cops so dad had to handle it. Jeremy and I accompanied him to learn how to handle such stuff. While coming back dad saw that the fuel was running low. He had some work to do so he got out of the car and asked us to fill up the car and bring it back. Jeremy went to fill the fuel and we thought that it would be easier if we just hide the car in the hidden shed or whatever instead of bringing it back. It is much easier than sneaking in to steal the car. Jeremy is waiting for you near the road trail."

Xander was out of breath by the time he finished talking and flopped down on Maddy's bed. What was his obsession with falling on the bed in that manner? Alexa jumped up and went out to show Jeremy the shed.

Two minutes later the two of them returned with grins on their faces. Maddy immediately asked him if the car was fit to drive for two hours. The fuel needed to be completely full and there needed to be air in the tires. Jeremy nodded and assured Maddy that everything was according to plan.

Jeremy and Xander had to leave as they hadn't eaten lunch yet and were starving. Alexa and Maddy once again went back to reading different stories regarding werewolves and pointing out all the wrong theories about werewolves in the stories.
