Tip 3: No Comparing

I often find myself doing this sometimes. Guess this applies to me as well :)

Tip 3:

No Comparing

Let's face it. We all have once in life envied people who seem to be better than us. This is NOT true. We're all equal and everyone does things good to the best of their ability.

Why should one never compare?

C

omparing lowers self esteem. It also makes you feel as if what you write is never good enough and you should keep on adding to your story, things that are unnecessary. Comparing also can lead to one having writer's block, feeling unmotivated to write and disowning their own ideas of a story (hence plagarism)

Reads and votes don't really matter. Well, it does, because we all want people to discover our works, but if your constantly looking on the reads and votes of others, then you will feel discouraged and less confident in the way you write.

How does one compare?

Words like "she/he writes so much better than me" or "I can never write as good as them" are ways one compares their work to another. This needs to stop. Motivate yourself to say how good your work is going. It doesn't matter the reads or votes.

Every story is a good story
