Megami is a niece of Present Mic, and the third youngest of ten siblings. Well, mostly sisters, and one brother.

She had been raised Catholic, but she didn't believe in that. She hadn't believed the same as her parents, so although she knew and respected her parents for it, she didn't believe in it.

When she was invited to a Baptist church by a friend, she accepted and she went to a Wednesday service and learned about the Christian faith. While there, she had been given a Bible that she took home and she read.

As a teenager, she had helped raise her two youngest siblings Tadashi and Mai with her older sister Ryoba. When her brother's best friend committed suicide, her brother kept a drug addiction to deal with it to himself for a year.

Until, she had found him in the bathroom overdosed with needles everywhere and close to death and she and her sister's and uncle took him to the hospital and got him some help.

She had always wanted to be a motivational speaker, and write about her brother's experience.

When she went to college, she met someone named Natsuo Todoroki, and they clicked almost instantly and they shortly after dated.
