Shadow: How long is this book going to be?

Me: I don't know. Maybe 10-15 chapters. Why?

Shadow: Because I want it to end.

Me: Well. You have to wait.

Shadow went to his parents room to get the clothes that were left for you. He brought them down passing them to you. 

"You can change in my room. I'll wait down here." he said passing you the clothes. You nodded at him before going up the stairs to his bedroom.

His mothers clothes were just a little baggy on you. But you were grateful for them to be doing this for you.  You went back down the stairs. The clothes were a black vest with white shorts. You walked into the kitchen where Shadow still was. He was drinking an orange juice he had poured himself. He looked over to you and started choking on his drink. You rushed over to hit his back stopping the coughing. 

"You look...wow." You laughed slightly blushing. 

"Thanks." He turned to get some kitchen paper to wipe up the orange juice he spilt. 

"Do you want one?" He asked referring to a drink. 

"Um. Yes please." He went to the fridge pulling out a cartoon of orange juice. He poured you a glass. 

"Here you go." You took it out of his hand. 

"Thank you." You smiled at him. 

"I was speaking to mum this morning. She's getting you enrolled in the school I go to. You start Monday. (Saturday now) She's got herself tomorrow off. She's taking you shopping for regular clothes and school uniform."

"Thank you Shadow. You're being so kind to me. But you've known me less than a day."

"You aren't the fist Kenji has tried this on. I've known him to have successfully....you know.....around 6 times now. I don't know why I haven't called the police yet. Probably because he's in a agng. And could kill me if he finds out it was me. But seeing you there in tears. I couldn't sit still any more. I had to do something."

"I'm happy you did. I don't know where I would be if you didn't help me." You gave Shadow a small hug. His arm the wasn't holding a glass wrapped around your back. "So what do we do?" You asked pulling away from the hug. 

"I don't know. I would usually go and practice."

"Go. I don't mind."

"Come with me then. Don't worry. Even if Kenji comes you won't get hurt with me there. Also someone I know will be there. So nothing will happen. I promise."

"Okay then." He went to change into a sports kit. You didn't know what he played but you would find out soon enough. 

(Later in the evening) 

"They should be here any minute." Shadow's mother spoke happily. You shook slightly. Shadow looked over to you. Taking your hand he gave it a small rub. His touch calming you down. You let out a long breath. Shadow whispered in your ear. 

"You'll be safe I promise." You smiled at him. There was a knock on the door. 

"Oooh they're here." His mother cooed going to answer the door. 

You were terrified.

Shadow: I didn't.

Me: Now you're just being mean!

Shadow: I don't understand why you did this about me.

Me: I don't know either any more. But I'm going to finish it!
