Well today is Makoto's birthday so why not make a special chapter about it- animedokichan

Kyoko's POV

I woke up and it was Friday and there was no school today because it was teaching planning day so there was no school. I check my calendar and I saw today was Makoto's birthday and I so happy because me and Hina been planning his birthday for the past month and now it's finally time, I need to text everyone except Makoto. ( Detective: Guys today is Makoto's birthday! Donut girl: I know I know!🥳😁 thefortuneteller: okay Me and Hina will distract Makoto. Rich boi: Me and Toko will get the party stuff. Bookworm: O- on it. Detective: let's do this.")

Makoto's POV

I woke up to Komaru saying " Happy birthday Makoto!" I laughed and said " Thanks Komaru." Komaru walked away and my aunt Akko came in with my breakfast. " Happy birthday." My aunt said and I smiled and said " Thanks the breakfast smells good." She laughed and placed the breakfast on my bed. It's been so long sense I had breakfast in bed because Mr and Mrs Sunobu never celebrated my birthday and my birthday presents was getting abused but never mind that because my friends, family and my girlfriend are planning something but I don't know what it is.

*time skip*

I was walking to Kyoko's house then Hina and Hiro stopped me " Makoto is here." Hina said with a smile on her face " Hey guys." I said and Hiro was pushing me away from Kyoko's house and said " Let's spend some time together I mean you stopped walking with us and didn't spend anytime with us all summer in the eighth grade." I smiled awkwardly because I thought I did make it up by getting Hiro some ice cream but I guess not. " What Hiro meant to say was we're going back into memory lane." Hina said looking at Hiro and trying to make me feel better and I nodded.

* another time skip*

I was getting Makoto a present because my grandfather found the first one and said " Who is this for?" I looked away because he doesn't know that me and Makoto are dating, my dad knows and he's okay so is my mom but my grandfather never meet Makoto before and I was worried if my grandfather doesn't like Makoto so I had to lie and said " Oh it's nothing." So my grandfather gave Makoto's gift to a poor kid which I didn't mind but I have no gift for Makoto. ( after looking around at the gift shop) I finally found Makoto the perfect gift and Hina keep texting me saying that Makoto will be at my house in 30 minutes, I better get going.

( * time skip to Kyoko's house at 7:00 and this is Makoto's POV*)

Hina and Hiro said I should wear a tuxedo and I don't know why because why do I need to wear a tuxedo but whatever. ( after getting dress) I found one of my dad's old tuxedo and one did fit me.

Well I better head to Kyoko's house.

Kyoko's POV

I was getting ready then I heard everyone voices except Makoto good. " Hey Kyoko." I heard Hina voice and I turned around to see Hina in a beautiful red dress.

" Wow Hina you look great." I said then I heard Hiro's voice " I have to agree with Kyoko." Me and Hina looked to see Hiro in a red tuxedo.

I looked Hina and Hiro and laughed and Hina had a confused look on her face and asked " Why are you laughing?" I said " Well I heard that couple look cute when they are matching and look at you two." Hina and Hiro became flustered and we heard Byakuya and Toko's voice " Kyoko got you to." Well see Byakuya in a tuxedo but doesn't he wear one everyday but whatever.

" W- well me a- and Byakuya l- look g- good too." Toko said and we all looked at her and she was wearing a dress and she never wear dresses. The dress did look good on her.

I walked away because I had to get my dress on. ( after changing) " Kyoko you look beautiful." Hina said and I smiled and said " Well it's one of my mom's dresses." Byakuya said " I think Makoto would like it." I hope so.

I looked out the window and see Makoto walking to my house and I said " Guys Makoto is coming." Everyone nodded and Hina said " Time to get in position people." We all went to our hiding spot and waited for Makoto. Makoto opened the door and looked around " Hello is anyone home?" We jumped and said " Happy birthday Makoto!" Makoto jumped and said " Thanks guys." Then we started the party.

Makoto's POV

My friends and girlfriend just surprised me with a birthday party I can't believe this, I'm grateful to have the best friends and the best girlfriend. (* time skip*) " Hey Makoto." I looked at Kyoko and she had a present with my favorite color green ( I don't know his actual favorite color I just chose green.) " Hey Kyoko what's that." Kyoko looked away with a blushing look and said " It's a birthday present for you." I looked at her and said " Thanks Kyoko." I opened the gift to see a stuff crane " You got me a stuff crane?" I asked and Kyoko said " I was going to give you a stuff bear because you like every animal and I did-" I interrupted her " Cranes are my favorite animal." Kyoko looked at me and said " Really?" " Really." I said and I kissed her and Kyoko kissed back then we heard some footsteps coming to us and Kyoko stopped and I asked her " What's wrong?" Kyoko looked at me and said " My grandfather is here." I ask " What's wrong with that?" Before Kyoko could say anything we heard a old man's voice " Kyoko who is this?" I never meet her grandfather before so I introduced myself " My name is Makoto Naegi. I'm Kyoko's boyfriend." Kyoko looked at me and then her grandfather said " What are yours parents like?" I said " Well my parents died in a car crash so I live with my aunt and my sister." Her grandfather looked at me then Kyoko and said " Kyoko may I have a word with you alone." Kyoko's grandfather looked at me and I said " I'll give you guys some space I'm going to talk to Hina and Hiro. It was nice to meet you." I walked away and I hope I made a good introduction.

Kyoko's POV

My grandfather just meet Makoto and Makoto made a perfect introduction but my grandfather asked me if he could talk to me and I got worried. " Kyoko was he joking when he said that he was your boyfriend?" I couldn't lie to my grandfather so I said no and my grandfather looked mad and disappointed. " Kyoko you shouldn't date him." He said and I looked at him and said " What?!" My grandfather explained that Makoto will bring me down to his level which was at one and how would I be a good detective if I was dating Makoto, he kept going on and I couldn't take it anymore and said " No." " What?" My grandfather asked and I said " No." My grandfather looked mad and said " Why not?" I said but kinda yelled " Because I love Makoto and he love me so you can't force me and you can't choose who I get to date or not, because I let you do that once and the guy only liked me because of our family not for me but Makoto is different and his level is not a one it's a 100 and I can still be a good detective with him!" My mom heard me yelling and walked to me and asked " Kyoko what's wrong?" I said nothing but my mom knew what me and my grandfather were talking about but she let it slide and just looked at her dad while walking away and I went back to everyone.

(* time skip to nighttime*)

" So Makoto did you have fun?" Hina asked and Makoto said " It was the best birthday party I ever had." I smiled at Makoto and ignored what my grandfather said because Makoto makes me happy and he's a good sport. " Hello Kyoko?" My thoughts were interrupted by Makoto with a worried look and I said " I'm fine just thinking." Makoto smiled and said " I glad your okay but I have to go home now but thanks for the party and the stuff crane." Makoto kissed my cheek and walked away and I just smiled because I have the best boyfriend.
