-practice forgiveness. if someone genuinely apolgizes to you, forgive them.

-just be nice. it costs 0 dollars not to be a piece of garbage.

-nothing is as bad as it seems. your mind really likes to blow up problems and make it seem like a big deal. ik from first hand experience.

-there's a solution to every problem, and that solution is NEVER ending your life. if you have suicidal thoughts, or want to attempt it, i urge you to talk to someone. you dont have to carry those feelings alone

-you are never alone. someone, somewhere is feeling the exact same way you are. its ok.

-keep toxic people out of your life. relationships shouldnt be hurtful or draining

-you never, ever deserve to be abused or assaulted.

-there are two sides to every story. when forming an opinion on something, take into account all sources and make a decision. be aware of bias in the media. people like to lie and twist stories to fit their narrative.

-but it's ok not to have an opinion on something. you can be on the fence about stuff.

-dont fall into extremism. on either side of the spectrum.

-dont sweat too much over your grades. besides common algebra, you wont be using much stuff you learn in school irl (unless you dream of being an engineer). letter grades arent an indicator of intelligence. youre not stupid just because youre a bad test taker.

-scars and other blemishes dont make you ugly

-if you must diet, be safe. crash dieting and starving yourself doesnt work. but i highly advise you dont go on any serious diets until you get over the age of 18. dont let people shame you into doing stuff to your body thats not necessary.

-dont expect people to be there for you every single second you need them. your friends have their own lives and things they have to do...but that doesnt make them bad friends. be understanding and don't guilt or shame them when they cant cater to you 24/7

-please reach out to people with your issues. find a confidante and keep them close. dont bear your issues in silence.

-everything's gonna be fine, and i can promise that. youve come really far.
