i said i didnt like musicals.

i dont like broadway, theatre musicals.

i actually enjoy movie musicals and animated musicals. i find adding song really enhances the story and there's a lot of cool storytelling elements you can use. i found movies like lala land (even tho it wasnt my type) fun and enjoyable, and disney movies have a special place in my heart.

but theatre is just,,ugh? i like real settings. theatres feel claustrophobic and limited in their surroundings. i cant really fully get into the play/musical when its not a movie or w/e. i need scenery, places more than just one stage. otherwise it doesnt feel real to me

&i swear to fancy if anyone gives me the "it's ok uwuwuw not everyone can understand the true beauty of theatre, u sad little plebeian" speech im gonna stab someone. im a visual person with a short attention span and theatre doesn't cut it for me.
