every time someone blames their behavior on a mental illness they diagnosed themself with i lose a year off my life (glares at the 'bpd' and 'did' self dx-ers)

also mental illness is no excuse for being abusive or hurtful you still gotta apologize man. that just contributes to the stigma of "mentally ill ppl are dangerous" u played urself man
