Louis, Eleanor, Niall, Tyler and I all sat together outside of the school. We sat leaned up against a tree working on assignments while we were on break. Eleanor, Tyler and I were the only ones actually working while Louis copied Eleanor's work and Niall didn't even bother to open his bag for the exception of grabbing a sandwich he was currently eating.

None of us knew where Liam was at the moment.

"Will you just do your own work?" Eleanor exclaimed as she pushed Louis away when he leaned over to look at her paper.

"But I need help!"

"Coping isn't helping you."

"But it'll help my grade."

She only rolled her eyes and got back to work.

I was starting to loose focus when an idea came to me. I placed my pen down and cleared my throat.

"Hey guys, I have an idea."

"Does it involve burning down the school?" Louis asked.

"No."

"Well, I'm less interested now."

"Anyway, I was thinking we could all hang out today after school..."

"Yeah sure. I've got nothing to do," Eleanor shurgged.

"Me neither," Niall agreed.

"...with Zayn," I added.

They all dropped their pens and looked at me.

"Come on! I want you guys to get to know him and like him. He's nothing like any of you think."

"But don't you think that'll be awkward?" Tyler asked.

"Maybe at first. But we'll go out or something."

"I heard there's a festival or something tonight. With rides and food." Niall stated.

"Yeah we can do that!"

"I don't know. Aren't things fine how they are?" Louis spoke up.

"No, it's not. You guys don't like him. You're my friends, of course I want you to like him. And I think you will. Just don't think about what he does for tonight. Just focus on getting to know him because it means a lot to me."

Eleanor sighed. "Fine. We'll go."

"Yeah if it means this much to you, we'll do it," Tyler smiled.

"Thank you."

We all went back to work.

"Hey."

I looked up and saw Liam walking towards us with a girl beside him.

"Hey Li, where were you?" Niall asked as he took another bite of his sandwich.

"I went to pick her up from class," he answered and looked at the girl next to him.

Who is she?

"Uh, Liam. Are you going to introduce me to her?" I laughed.

"Oh yeah I forgot you haven't met her yet! This is Sophia. Sophia this is Emily, Tyler's sister."

"Hi, nice to meet you," I smiled kindly.

"Hey, you too. Liam has told me some stuff about you."

"Oh yeah? Hope it was all good."

"Yes definitely," she laughed.

Liam and Sophia sat down beside us on the grass.

"So what are you guys talking about?" Liam asked us.

"We're all going to a festival of some kind tonight. Want to come?" Tyler answered.

"Yeah sure. Do you want to come?" Liam looked over at Sophia.

"Yeah sounds fun."

"With Zayn," Louis added as he continued to copy Eleanor's answers.

"What?"

I sighed. "I want you guys to get to know Zayn so we're all going out to do just that."

"Uh okay."

"It means a lot to her so we're doing it," Eleanor said.

Liam nodded and I smiled.

At least they're giving him a chance.

"Please!"

"Emily, I don't know."

"Buy they've already agreed to it."

Zayn and I were at his apartment and I was currently trying to get him to come to with us to the festival tonight.

"Why don't you want to go?"

"Because they don't like me."

"Then give then a chance to know you. They are my only friends, Zayn, and they're opinion matters to me. You're my boyfriend and I want them to like you."

"They only think I'm putting you in danger, which I am," he looked down at the floor and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Hey," I stood in front of him and held his hand. "That doesn't matter. This is my decision remember?"

"I know but-"

"No. My decision. I want to be with you even if there's a possibility I'll get hurt."

He only looked at me.

I sighed. "They have agreed to do this. Even Tyler has. Zayn, he's my brother. He's the only true family I have and care about. It would mean so much to me if you two could get along, just for tonight. If things don't work out then I'll never ask you to do something with them again. Can you please do this, for me?"

He sighed and kissed my forehead. "Fine. I'll go."

"Thank you!" I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist.

"Yeah, yeah."

I unwrapped my arms from around him and grabbed my bag from the couch.

"I'll see you in an hour. You'll come pick me up, right?"

"Mm-hmm."

I went to give him a peck and leave but he had other plans. He held my waist and slid his hand on my hip as I gave him a peck. While one hand was on my hip, the other was placed at the back of my neck to keep me in place as he deeped the kiss.

The kiss was slow but very passionate. And as he slowly pulled away, I felt liked I had been punched in the stomach.

"W-What was that for?" I stuttered out.

He smirked. "For me."

I grinned and couldn't help the little blush that formed on my cheeks.

I walked into the kitchen when I got home and saw Tyler sitting at the island.

"Hey Ty, you can ask Julie is she wants to come with us."

"I already did. She's busy tonight."

I nodded and took out a water from the fridge and sat next to him at the island.

"I would really appreciate if you could try to get along with him, okay?"

He looked at me for a moment then sighed. "Yeah, fine."

I smile and leave the kitchen to get ready. I walk into the bathroom when I get upstairs.

Deciding that a warm shower might calm my nerves a bit, I turn the water on and wait for it to heat up before stepping in.

I hope tonight isn't a disaster. I just want to make an effort for them to get along. I hate having to keep them separated because they don't like Zayn. I understand that they don't want me getting hurt, but if they could just look past that and see the parts I love, then they could understand why I'm staying with him.

I know that Zayn loves me, I can feel it. I just need them to see it.

I can understand why they don't trust him but I'd like for them to have a chance to get to know the real him.

After my quick shower, I stepped out and wrapped myself in a warm towel. I quickly headed to my room and went to my closet to find something to wear.

I pulled out black shorts, a t-shirt with a black and white square pattern, and a short sleeved army green jacket.

I put them on then dried my hair and straightened it. Once my hair was finished I grabbed my white converse from my closet floor and slipped them on.

My phone dinged from it's spot on my bed. Grabbing it, I turned it on and saw a text from Zayn.

Zayn: ready?

Me: yeah, how soon can you be here?

Zayn: 15 min

I nodded to myself and checked myself in the mirror before leaving my room and going downstairs.

Tyler was grabbing his keys and walking to the door when I saw him.

"Come on, they're here," he said as he opened the front door.

"Zayn is coming to pick me up."

"Oh. Well then I'll see you in a few minutes." He closed the door behind him as he left and I watched as they drove away.

I went into the living room and sat on my couch, taking in a deep breath.

I was starting to get a little nervous all of a sudden. I really want this to go well but I can't help but think of what could happen.

What if they don't accept him? What if they get into some big fight that ruins everything?

I would've went on but the doorbell then rang. I sprung off the couch and opened the front door to find Zayn standing there with his hands tucked into his pockets.

He wore a white shirt with different doodles covering it, a blue plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows over it, black jeans, and black boots.

"Hey," he greeted me with his side smile and then leaned in to kiss my cheek. "Ready to go?"

"Yup." I closed the front door behind me and followed Zayn to his car. We both climed in and buckled up before he pulled out of my driveway and drove down the street.

"Are you nervous?" I asked him, trying to hold back a smile.

"Nope."

"Liar."

"Now why would you say that?"

"You're rapidly tapping your fingers on the steering wheel and there isn't any music on."

He seemed to have only realized it when I pointed it out. He immediately stopped and looked at me with a small grin.

"No I'm not."

I chuckled and grabbed his hand.

"There's nothing to be nervous about."

"Who are you trying to reassure?"

"Both of us."

He chuckled and the rest of the ride was silent.

In about ten minutes we pulled into the parking lot. We both climbed out of the car and headed towards the festival.

"Where are they?" Zayn asked as we both looked around.

"Hey Em, over here!"

I looked to the right and saw them standing together. I smiled and held Zayn's hand as we both walked over to them.

"Hey guys. You know Zayn," I said to them and smiled up at Zayn to make him feel better.

He put on a shy smile and looked them all as they looked back, seeming to judge him.

I cleared my throat and they all greeted him.

"So, what should we do first?"

"The rollercoaster!" Louis said excitedly and hurried to the line.

We all followed him and waited for our turn.

"This is awkward," Zayn whispered to me.

"We just got here," I laughed.

"And I already don't like this."

"Just give them time. They'll warm up to you."

Soon we were next and we all climbed on. Sophia and Liam sat in the front, behind them was Eleanor and Louis, and then Niall was next to climb in behind them.

I walked up to the ride but noticed Zayn didn't follow.

"Come on, Zayn."

"Um no. I think I'll sit this one out."

"Why?"

He looked up at the ride with fear in his eyes.

"That goes pretty high up, don't you think?"

"Are you saying you're afraid of heights?" I asked with a teasing smile.

"No! I'm just saying that's really high and-" he sighed, "yes."

I giggled. "Aw, that's okay. You don't have to go on. I'll stay down here with you if you want."

"No, you go."

"Okay," I smiled. I kissed his cheek and he chuckled as I quickly went back and sat beside Niall.

Tyler didn't climb on either. Instead he waved us off and stood next to Zayn.

"I'm not going to ride this one either," he said.

I buckled myself in and gave him a look as the ride started moving forward.

It started slow as we reached the top and then speeded down. Everyone screamed with big smiles on their faces. A huge loop was coming up and I grabbed Niall's hand.

"I hate loops!" I shouted. I heard him laugh and we did the loop. We soon slowed down and then stopped.

We all laughed as we climbed off the ride. I held my head as I was a little dizzy.

"You okay?" Niall laughed.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I grinned.

We walked away from the ride and found Zayn and Tyler off to the side. Tyler was saying something to Zayn with a stern look on his face before he saw us and smiled as if nothing happened.

"Hey, was it fun?" Tyler asked.

"It was great!" Niall answered.

Tyler chuckled and we walked away to find another ride.

We rode on a ton of different rides and everyone seems to be getting along with Zayn better.

Tyler, Louis, Liam, and Niall all talked to Zayn while I wasn't with them. I figured they would though.

I held Zayn's hand as we walked around. In my other arm I was holding onto another teddy bear that he won for me.

"You remember that panda you won for me?"

He only hummed in response.

"I named him Otto."

He laughed and looked down at me.

"Oh yeah?"

I nodded. "He looked like an Otto."

"What does he look like?" He asked and nodded to the teddy bear in my arms.

"Umm. . . . Theo," I grinned.

"He does look like a Theo."

"Yes he does."

He smiled and leaned down to kiss my temple.

We continued walking until we saw a ferris wheel.

"We have to go on that," I said seriously.

"Okay, you go," Zayn replied.

"No, you're coming with me."

"What? No. Why?"

"It'll be fun."

"But that's really high."

"Nothing's going to happen, Zayn."

"I don't want to."

"Come on babe. It'll be fine."

"Did you just call me babe?" He asked with a teasing smile.

"Yes. Now will you go on?"

He sighed. "Fine."

"Yay. Come on guys we're going on the ferris wheel!" I said to the others.

"I guess it's you and me, Ty," Niall said looking at Tyler.

"Let's do this," Tyler responded and they both pushed past the rest of us to get to the front.

We all laughed and followed them in line.

We all climbed onto different carts. Zayn and I on one, Louis and Eleanor on another, Liam and Sophia, and then Niall and Tyler acting silly.

We slowly went around and Zayn held my hand tighter as we went higher. I laughed lightly and rested my head on his shoulder.

"See, it's not so bad. Just breathe."

"What do you think I'm doing?"

I laughed and looked down at everything. It all looked so small from up here.

Zayn took a glance down and shut his eyes.

"Oh my God. Here is where I die. This is it."

"You're so dramatic," I rolled my eyes.

He still had his eyes closed so I decided to help him relax. I turned his head to face me and placed my lips over his.

He moaned and I put my hands in his hair and pulled slightly as he kept his hands on my thighs.

We kissed all the way down and when the wheel stopped I slowly pulled away.

"You okay now?"

"Oh yeah."

I smiled and climbed out of the cart with Zayn. Everyone else met up with us.

"Let's go eat," Liam suggested.

"Nothing so wise has ever came out of your mouth before," Niall said.

We found a food stand and got hotdogs and a soda. Eleanor, Sophia and I ordered first and we sat at a table as we waited for the boys.

"So when did you meet Liam, Sophia?" I asked her as I took a sip of my coke.

"At the part last week. Some guy was trying to hook up with me and Liam stopped him."

"Sounds like Liam," Eleanor chuckled. "He's a good guy."

"Yeah."

"So you like him?" I then asked.

"Yeah he's sweet. He's not like the last guy I dated but he seems, I don't know how to put it. . . careful, I guess."

"Yeah," Eleanor sighed. "Well that's because of his last girlfriend. She left him for another guy."

"That explains it. But I wouldn't do that to him."

"I hope not. Not saying you would but he's a good friend of ours and he's so nice to everyone. He's even nice to people he shouldn't waste his time with but that's just who he is and we love him for it. We just don't want to see him hurt again."

"I understand," Sophia replied.

"Then we'll get along just fine," Eleanor said and I nodded in agreement.

"What are you girls talking about?" Louis asked as they all sat with us at the table.

"Just some girl talk," Eleanor said to him.

It started getting dark so we decided to head back home. We all stood in the parking lot and said goodbye.

"You're not so bad Zayn," Louis spoke.

Zayn had a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, yeah," Eleanor interrupted. "But if you hurt Emily in any way I will beat the crap out of you. Understand?"

Zayn didn't even laugh thinking it was a joke. He only nodded.

They all went to their cars and Zayn and I climbed into his.

He started the car and followed the rest of them out of the parking lot but taking a different turn.

"That wasn't so bad now was it?"

"No, it was fun."

"Told you."

"Your friends are very protective over you."

"Tell me about it. They didn't threaten you did they?"

"You did hear Eleanor, right? That's pretty much what they all said."

About five minutes went by before Zayn pulled up in front of my house. There weren't any lights on which meant Tyler and dad weren't home yet.

"I'll see you tomorrow, alright?"

"Yeah, goodnight. Love you," I said and gave him a peck.

"Love you too."

I climbed out of the car with Theo in my hands and shut it behind me, heading for the front door. I unlocked the door and walked inside, turning the light on. I looked out the window and Zayn started driving again once I was safely inside, like he always does.

I placed Theo on the couch and went into the kitchen to get some water. I poured it into a glass and took a sip, going back to the living room.

Once I walked in something came flying through the window. The glass slipped through my hands and I screamed, startled.

I hurried to the window but couldn't see anyone. It was already too dark.

My breathing was rapid and my heart pumped fast. I looked at the shattered glass on the floor and saw a rock laying with the glass.

I bent down and picked it up. My fingertips felt something unusual on the other side of the rock so I turned it over to find a note taped to it with only a few words. Enough to scare me to death.
