I was the last person to know three out of my four grandparents had become sick.
Within the month. It had been thrown at all of us, and the truth was hard to accept.
I was the last in my family to learn they all had cancer.
Yes. Cancer.
My Grandpa had been sick for years. He had suffered five heart attacks, several strokes, and other heart problems. I think he was the strongest man I knew, because even in the midst of pain, he always kept going. Always kept breathing, living, joking, loving. 
I think we thought that he would tough it out like everything else life had thrown at him.
And he did, for a while, at least.
The cancer he had was small cell lung cancer, an extremely rare type, but one of the more dangerous ones, too. 
Lucky us. :|
But he still had a chance.
We should've seen it coming.
