Alois was walking to school, kicking a stone and hearing it scrape against the sidewalk. Today he was wearing slightly longer pants, so he wouldnt get in trouble for that, and he was walking straight to school so he couldnt be late. As he got closer to the building, he noticed someone scribbling something in a notebook. As soon as he realized who it was, he got the courage to walk up and...

Trip over his boot laces. "Oh!-" was what Alois said before he fell only inches from Ciel. He moaned and sat up.

"Oh my god are you okay? Are you hurt?" Ciel said as he helped Alois up by putting his hands on his back and on his shoulder.

"Uhm yeah im fine. Thank you." Alois  did his best attempt at a smile for Ciel, who smiled back at him brightly.

"No problem, Alois." he replied. Alois looked taken aback. 

"You know my name?" Alois asked, honestly astonished.

"Well yeah, you ARE in my class" Ciel pointed out. He went back to scribbling on the paper.

"What're you writing?" Alois asked curiously

"My math homework. I dont get it, do you?" Ciel asked hopefully.

"Yeah, I could help you with it if youd like" Alois lied.

"Really! That'd be great! How about your place after school?" Ciel smiled. Alois had actually meant helping Ciel right there.

"Uh yeah that'll work" Alois choked.

"Great! See you later, Trancy." Ciel smiled and entered the building while Alois leaned onto the brick wall. Great, now Ciel was going to show up and see what a mess his life actually was. 

During class, thats all that Alois could think of. Maybe if he snuck in quietly with Ciel...No, Claude would find him. It was inevitable.

After school, Alois met up with Ciel and they walked to Alois's house, with Alois dreading what was to happen and Ciel unknowing. 

"TRANCY! GET OVER HERE YOU LITTLE BRAT! YOUR TEACHER CALLED! IM GONNA BEAT YOUR ASS YOU LITTLE-" Claude yelled at Alois from another room. 

"Alois whats going on?" Panic crept into Ciels voice as he spoke quietly.

"WHO IS THAT!? WHO THE HELL IS THIS!?" Claude walked into the room, naked and with a whip in his hands.

"Al-Alois.."Ciel hid behind the blonde.

"This is my cl-classmate.." Alois cut off and Claude slashed the whip across his face.

"ALOIS!! OH MY-" Ciel ran out of the house, leaving Alois with Claude.

"LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID, THAT KIDS PROBABLY GONNA CALL THE COPS!!!" Claude shouted angrily at Alois, who was on the floor and clutching his face. Claude lashed out at him, tearing his clothes and his skin leaving bleeding wounds. Alois cried out in agony, hoping someone would hear him

After about 10 minutes Alois was beginning to lose consciousness.

And Hope.

He could hear the police in the distance and heard Claude drop the whip and run off to another room. After that, he heard Ciel yelling at him to wake up, right before he lost consciousness. 

"Its okay, Alois...You're going to be safe now." Ciel took Alois's hand as the nurses put him on a stretcher and followed him into the ambulance.

Or, tried to. Until a Nurse said "You cant come in here"

Ciel looked for an excuse before finally coming up with "Uhmmm....Im his...Boyfriend! Yes! I am his boyfriend" Ciel said to the nurse and silently thanked that Alois could hear him.

At the hospital, they had to tear away Alois's clothes, except for his shorts so they could bandage the cuts. Ciel looked away, blushing darkly. Ciel hadnt realized how cute Alois actually was until that morning, and ever since then Alois had been on his mind. Now seeing him like this.. Ciel covered his face with his right hand to hide his bright red face.

A few hours later, Alois was starting to come to. Ciel jumped up from his chair and went over to him "Alois? Alois! You're okay" Ciel actually felt tears roll down his face as he hugged Alois."Im so sorry I never would have thought.."

Alois hugged Ciel back, though his arms ached. "Dont be sorry, it wasnt your fault"

"I could have done something sooner, I could have helped."

"No, whats important is that you did do something and you did help"
