(Y/n)'s P.O.V

"Hey Xebec, can I ask you something?"

"You ask a lot of questions brat."

"Hmm." I huffed while eating a pancake. It's already morning. The crew is up and active. no one barged in or tried to attack Xebec. I can hear some of the them walking around the ship and doing whatever. Maybe they're cleaning  after the party.

I got up early, around 4 am and went to Shanks's room, stole some of his clothes for Rocks to wear and prepared breakfast for the crew, then grabbed two plates and went back to the infirmary.

To my surprise, I found the infamous pirate already up. I gave him his plate and clothes and he thanked me by ruffling my hair.

After he changed, we sat down and had our breakfast while making small talk here and there. Which lead us to this very moment.

"It's only a simple question..." I made a small pout, using my puppy eyes didn't work on him. He said that a certain female in his crew always using that trick to get something, and after loosing almost all his treasure for her shoppings, he learned from that mistake.

"That won't work either." He chuckled. "But you can ask your stupid question."

"Yay!" I cheered, ignoring the last part. All the night, I kept thinking about it and couldn't have my beauty sleep.

"Xebec. Please answer me with honesty." I said rather serious. The said man stopped eating and nodded his head.

....

"Was Katakuri cute as a child?" Xebec brust out laughing after hearing my question. I glared at him, offended for laughing at me.

"I-I-" He gasped for air. "Is this really the question that you badly want me to answer?!"

"Yes please! I really want to know if he was adorable! I think he was. Because now he's such a softie and donut lover. That makes him cute in my eyes." I blushed and giggled, imagining Katakuri wearing a Donut costume...

"Bahahaha!" Xebec laughed. "If you really want to know then yes. He was kinda cute I guess." His answer made me jump on my bed blushing.

"Ahm." A cough coming from Zack who entered the room snapped me from my daydreaming. "Morning Zack! any headaches?" I greeted him.

"Morning as well (y/n) and yes. The whole crew are in a bad mood today." I greeted back and went to Xebec while holding his head.

"Expect Benn." I whispered under my breath.

"Morning Sir." He politely greeted his patient. "Yo." Was Xebec's reply. "I'm gonna check your wounds and then give you the painkillers. So stay still." Zack carefully pulled all Rock's bandages. Then he checked the wounds while commenting on Xebec's fast healing. Then he injected the painkillers and put some new bandages.

"That's all for now." Zack got up and went to the bathroom to clean the blood from his hands. "Shanks is waiting for you two in the mess hall." He shouted. "He's in a bad mood today so I suggest you go to him as fast as possible."

I sighed in defeat and go up from the bed. "Okay." I mumbled. Xebec watched my defeated state with a smirk. "Already tired from the loooooooong explanation?" He teased. "Shut up and let's go." I snapped.

The two of us left the infirmary. Me still wearing my cute pyjamas while Xebec was wearing a red T-shirt with black shorts and brown sandals.

On our way to the mess hall, some of the Shanks men greeted us... Or rather me. They were glaring draggers at Xebec. Their expected reaction amused the pirate a lot. "Some overprotective men they are." He chuckled.

When we reached the mess hall, Xebec tensed up a bit. He can fell the strong will coming from Shanks. His smirk grew with each step we took. "That power... Just like of Roger." He whispered to himself.

Finally, we reached the mess hall and saw some of the red hair pirates eating the breakfast I prepared. I saw Shanks, Yassopp, Benn and Lucky roo looking at us. Well, Shanks was glaring.

And in only a few seconds. Everyone stopped eating and talking to pay attention to their captain and... The unexpected guest.

Xebec wasn't a bit effected by their glares or their show of power. He only smirked in amusement and confidently eyed the crew. "Not bad. Not bad indeed." He said.

"(Y/n)..." Shanks voice echoed in the mess hall. "Explain."

"Well..." I took a deep breath and decided to tell him the whole truth. "I was walking around the island, trying to take my mind from... You know, the unexpected bounty." He nodded his head. "Doflamingo called to give me his 'congratulations.' and we talked for a while." Shanks clenched his fist when he heard the shichibukai's name.

"Few minutes later... I accidentally fell." I mumbled the last part. Everyone, Xebec included looked at me with a confused look when they didn't hear what I said.  "What?" They asked.

"I accidentally fell okay!" I blushed in embarrassment. There was silence for a minute then they all started laughing and cooeing. Saying how much clumsy and cute I am. I blushed even more and decided to continue when they all stopped.

"When I got up, I saw some blood on the ground. I followed it to find him dying under a tree." I sighed. 

"(Y/n), you do know who this man is?" Shanks said. "Yes. Rocks D Xebec." I replied while looking at the ground. Shanks got up from his seat and walked towards us.

"Look at me (y/n)." He ordered. I looked up and saw the redhead standing in front of me. I glanced at Xebec and saw him eying the yonko.

"Tell me, why did you save his life?" Shanks's strong, commanding tone softened when he saw how nervous I was. I took a deep breath and replied.

"I... I can't leave someone to die. I'm not a killer Shanks. I don't care if he's a dangerous pirate. This is not me. I can't let anyone down who is in need of my help. I don't regret healing him. I don't regret bringing him here. If you're not letting him stay, then I'm leaving as well. He somehow time travelled here from the past and the God sent me to save him. I don't fell a bit guilty for doing the right thing Because nothing can be more precious then saving someone's life." With all my confident, I looked at Shanks straight to the eyes and waited his response.

He stared blankly at me for a few seconds then started laughing with the rest of the crew. I looked confused at them. Xebec, who heard every single world I said, gave me a small smile and a pat on the head. Shanks got to my eye level and caressed my cheek smiling.

"I expected nothing less from you. I'm really proud. You did the right thing." His smile grew when he looked at Xebec.

"My captain Roger talked about his fight with you a lot when I was a kid." He said. "So your captain is Gol D Roger?" Xebec raised an eyebrow. "I'm not a bit surprised. You two has the same strong will. He was a strong opponent." The two shook their hands and went to seat back with the rest of the crew.

I sighed in relief. Thanking God that everything went well. I went back to my room to freshen up and change into something comfortable. I decided to wear this summer outfit.

I walked outside and climbed the stairs till I reached the crew nest. I greeted the rookies there and sat down enjoying the beautiful view of the wide sea. I can hear Shanks and Xebec unique laughs in the background which made me at ease.

Xebec's presence in this timeline was quite a surprise for everyone. I don't know what else will happen but I'm sure I'll be up for any challenge. I'll train hard and get stronger.

For me. For my crew and for the people I've come to love and proudly call family.
