I'm writing a dragon rider's book and need a bit of help with something.
So when the MC first enters the rider academy, there will be a challenge, and around 100 of the Neophyte's (The newest cadets)  will die (overall, there is around 400-350)
I have a few ideas, all changing between testing stamina, agility, strength and mental strength.

1st one;
A battle against creatures called havocks, which are small but very vicious, and won't stop killing until they r killed. In this, 100 Neophyte's will die, and it's more a test of strength and mental strength

2nd one;
An obsticale course of some kind, testing agility and stamina, but also some strength, as it will have a bunch of traps, so being watchful of your surroundings is also important. In this, 80-90 will die

3rd one;
A test of will, strength, and agility, taking place later on in the year once the Neo's have been bonded to their dragons, if they survive. They will leave the boundaries of Keramoore, the country where they all live, and face the wilds for 1 year. All wild dragons, which are more powerful then the ones who live inside the walls, and are over 10 centuries old, will not be a major problem as they don't tend to attack other dragons unless provoked. Wyverns, griffen Havocks and other wild creatures are the ones that cause the most deaths. Over 100 will probably die in this one.
Note; there is a chance that this will happen anyway if it fits the story well.

ALSO, if anyone else has any ideas feel free to share. My brain currently ain't working the best, and any suggestions on the one above are welcome too!!

When I come to writing the part of this in the book is when the voting will close, so the way my motivation is going rn, probably... a week away.
