"You sure you want to do this, Cuddly?" Keisuke looked worriedly at the bear, who just grinned before patting his head, "I'll be fine, Keisuke. You don't have to worry." 

"I know that, but still..." 

"Seriously, I'll be fine! Plus, you'll be here as referee in case he goes too far, remember?" Cuddly smiled at the human, feeling grateful for the worry he was showing. 

Keisuke cracked a smile upon hearing that, "I guess so. Please, just stay safe." 

"You got it!" Cuddly gave him a thumbs-up before Haruya called out, "Come on! I don't have all day! I have to clean dishes later on after dinner! And Rasen is a monster whenever he eats! We usually need a head start in order to finish them before midnight!" 

"Coming!" Cuddly replied as he went down to the battle field, a spacious field Keita had graciously given to the group as a place to sharpen their fighting skills in JoShuDoRaMon, or what was previously known as Genbu's palace, named after their inhabitants by order of purification. While the group had once tried to erase the Do in the name so Haruya would not stay sad because of Douketsu's death, Haruya had ultimately decided to let it stay in order to honour his memory. 

Said Youkai was now out of his disguise, standing tall on the battlefield as he faced Cuddly, ready to attack at any moment. 

Cuddly got ready as well, quickly switching to his Shadowside while Keisuke just watched, feeling nervous but somewhat excited.

"Alright, are you two ready?" 

The two nodded at the only human on the field, who took in a deep breath before shouting, "Very well! READY! SET! GO!"

On "go", the two rushed at each other, immediately making sparks fly as they began the spar, focused but careful so as to not hurt the other.

"You're quite good!" Shutendouji admitted while dodging the other's attack, charging up his Youki to attack him.

Bearly Deadly could only grin back, "Same back to you!" before he sidestepped Shutendouji's attack and kicked him to the ground, trying to pin him.

However, Shutendouji was fast, and so was back on his feet in a flash.

Deadly chuckled, "I've always liked a challenge! You're giving me one now, so consider us friends!" He then lunged for Shutendouji.

Shutendouji smirked in reply, "Not going to deny that!" as he swiftly dodged the attack.

Keisuke was just watching from the sidelines, feeling tense and worried for the duo, when Rasen called out, "Hey, Keisuke!"

He immediately turned to look at the 4 Youkai who were apparently returning from the market, eyes lighting up, "Jorogumo! Rasen! Kagemi! Movien! Good morning!"

"Morning back to you, I guess," the mirror Youkai grinned as he ruffled the shorter boy's hair, making him pout in mock-annoyance, "Kagemi!"

"Sorry, Keisuke, but your hair is just way too fluffy!" Kagemi teased the human, making Keisuke pout even more in protest.

Movien laughed seeing this, "What are you doing up this early, though? Natsume said that she couldn't find you anywhere!"

"Well, someone unexpected visited, so I took him to get some ice cream, only for Haruya to challenge him to a spar, so yeah," Keisuke shrugged, as if he hadn't just confused the quartet.

"Pardon me?" Jorogumo looked perplexed. "Did Haruya challenge someone to a spar AGAIN?"

"And I thought we told him to stop," Kagemi facepalmed.

"Well, yeah. But it's not just anyone," Keisuke admitted.

"Huh? Not just anyone?" Rasen repeated, question marks flying all over his head now. "What are you talking about Keisuke?"

Keisuke sheepishly smiled, "Kagemi and Jorogumo may not recognise him now, but he's Bearly Cuddly." while pointing at the battlefield, where Deadly was beginning to get the upper hand.

The 4 blinked once more, still trying to load the information as they slowly turned to the battlefield just as Shutendouji was pinned to the ground by Deadly.

Jorogumo's eyes widened, recognising his stance at once, "CUDDLY!" as she rushed over.

Deadly's head swiveled over, eyes widening too before he let go of Shutendouji and ran over to Jorogumo, enveloping her in a tight hug, "JOROGUMO!"

Jorogumo began to sob, "I-I've been waiting for you!"

"I-I'm so sorry...." Cuddly took in a shaky breath. "I-I'm so sorry for taking so long, Jorogumo...."

"I-It's fine...." Jorogumo wiped some tears away from her eyes, scarlet eyes bright in happiness and relief. "W-What matters is that you're safe now..."

Cuddly's eyes softened, "Oh, Jorogumo...." as he hugged her even more. "Thank you for your forgiveness..."

"I-It's okay," she smiled. "I-I love you, Cuddly...."

"Same here..." Cuddly smiled back before they hugged even more.

The rest could only watch this reunion with smiles on their faces, opting not to ruin the moment by slowly walking away, leaving them to have their own fun together.
