Good Cop, Bad Cop, Part 9, Queru

"We are going on a LONG vacation after this to get your brain back to normal, okay?"

Konju pouted, "I can assure you that there is nothing wrong with my brain."

"As if," Aruke put his hands on his hips. "You're getting into the bad cop persona too much."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not."

"Are too!"

Queru just watched the two of them debate, questions rushing through his brain but not exiting his mouth at all.

How did an interrogation turn into a debate fest?...Queru silently questioned himself.

After a while, the two calmed down and turned to face Queru.

The male was a bit unnerved to see their faces. One was all sunny, while the other was stony face.

Aruke decided to break the ice, "Sorry for that. KonKon's gone a bit mad, so I'm planning on dragging him to a VERY VERY isolated island to vent it all out."

"Oi, Ruke!"

"What?"

"Why?!"

"Because you need it."

"Do not!"

"Do- Stop trying to change the topic, KonKon."

Konju pouted again, "Meanie."

"I'm anything BUT a meanie, KonKon."

"As if!"

Queru could only mentally question, What did I do so wrong to get this?

Aruke just sighed as Konju rolled his eyes, before the Fate Changer turned back to Queru, "Anyway, we want to ask you some questions."

"And what makes you say that-"

"We can always start debating and bore you to death," Konju interrupted.

Queru quickly changed his words after hearing that, "Of course! What do you need?"

Aruke just facepalmed again while Konju mentally smirked.

"We want to know about Order's plan," Aruke replied. "Can you tell us what kind of power might come out if you utilise one's darkness?"

Queru frowned a bit, "A dark power."

"A dark power?" The two of them looked at each other.

"Yes," Queru took in a deep breath. "There is actually a prophecy about that. Quite short, but it has meaning."

"Well, don't hold it back then," Konju tilted his head.

Queru squinted his eyes, as if trying to find the words, "Ah! I think I've found it."

His voice suddenly grew deep as he began to recite the prophecy.

When times are rough,

and a leader must be tough,

one must learn to let go

and step up to the glow.

Pain shall control the heart

as despair begins to craft its art.

Myths and legends come to life,

hope shall become a knife

to destroy despair's inner strife.

Aruke and Konju were completely clueless as Queru finished his reciting. Despair? Let go? Step up? Inner strife?!

"I-Is that all you can tell us now?..." Konju broke the silence. Queru nodded silently, looking very very tired.

"I-I see..." Aruke nodded in understanding. "Thank you for your wisdom, Queru."

"It's nothing..." Queru smiled a bit. "I'm actually happy that someone listened to my prophecies. Usually, they make fun of me or beat me up over it."

"It's fine," Aruke smiled back. "Anyway, we have to leave now. Take care, okay, Queru?"

"Yeah..." Queru nodded.

With that, the two left Queru. Both sides felt really really satisfied.
