Good Cop, Bad Cop, Part 5, Akeu

"Just to make it clear, Konju, we are NOT doing what we did with Dekane anymore. Are we clear?"

Konju mock-saluted, "Yes sir! I won't fail you sir!"

Aruke giggled a bit, "You're funny, Konju."

"I AM your best friend, Ruke. Of course I am funny!" Konju joked. Aruke burst out laughing, leaning on the wall as the teens stood outside the next interrogation room, which held Akeu.

"S-Stop making me laugh like this KonKon!" Aruke managed to gasp out while hugging his stomach. Konju just smirked as he assumed an innocent face, "Who, me? Kin Aruke, how DARE you accuse me like that!"

Aruke pouted, "That's the truth! But anyway, we should get ready to head in soon."

"You can go in first then. I'll have to compose myself due to you making me laugh," Konju decided.

"I should be saying that! Get in there, Konju!" Aruke suddenly grabbed the older male's shirt, opened the door to the interrogation room, and pushed him in before he locked the door from the outside, a satisfied smirk on his face.

Inside, Konju could only think of one sentence to describe Aruke.

You can be so cruel at times, RukeRuke.

Deciding not to delay the inevitable, Konju looked up to the table, where Akeu silently sat.

"Hey," Konju greeted shortly, a cold tone on as he sat in front of Akeu.

"....." Akeu stayed silent.

"What's up with the silence? Angry that your leader's plan failed?" Konju mocked, mentally begging for Aruke's forgiveness for his words. He is going to be so mad at me over this...

"... Silence, you fool. I will not listen to you," Akeu's frigid tone didn't faze Konju at all.

"And yet you still replied. You really are dumb, aren't you?" Konju rolled his eyes.

"I am not dumb."

"You want to bet on it?"

"I do not have money on my person."

"Like I care. You have to have something to bet with. Like... I don't know, your belt? I'm short of money."

Aruke facepalmed as he watched it from outside, "Konju..."

"No."

"You're no fun, are you?"

"I am not a fool. What have you come here to do?"

"Ruke wanted to talk to you, though I personally want him to beat you up."

Aruke had his head on his right hand by now, "What is it with Konju bringing my name into this?... Oh wait, I was the one who sent them all to the hospital. Go figure."

"Kin Aruke merely caught me off guard."

"Oh really now? Do you want to challenge him again?"

"I.... Rather not."

"Ha! See! You're just a weak idiot!"

"I am no idiot," Akeu growled. "I'll have you know that I was Tomako's left-hand man."

"He probably did that so you could protect him if there's an attack. Probably believed you were dumb."

"HE DIDN'T!"

"Eh? You sure?"

"Yes I am! Actually, scratch that! He, Order and that Aldebaran guy all trusted me!"

"Huh?" Konju looked perplexed. "Who now?"

Aruke decided to interfere before Konju riled Akeu up too much, so he entered the room with a stern face, "KONJU!"

"Yikes! Aruke!" Konju's face was convincingly guilty-looking, mainly because he really felt that way in his heart.

"You shouldn't be so mean to Akeu-san!" Aruke chided.

"But he-"

"No buts, Konju."

Konju now looked like a kicked puppy.

"Come on, let's go!" Aruke grabbed his shirt and dragged him out, quickly saying his apologies to Akeu before leaving.

"Erm..... Sorry?"

Aruke gave him a blank stare in return, before he sighed, "What kind of half-baked idea was that, KonKon?"

Konju just blushed in response, "H-Hey!"

Aruke chuckled a bit, "It's a joke, KonKon."

Konju looked away.

"Akakakakakakaka~ You fell for it~" Aruke giggled.

"S-Shut up!"
