Balance Problems Part 2
As much as Keisuke loved Peace (which had grown to expand to Natshuka as well), there were times that they tested his patience.
An example would have to be today, in the form of Gentouma and Masaki having yet ANOTHER fight.
"For crying out loud, Gentouma, Masaki, you're old enough to know not to fight," Keisuke massaged his forehead as he looked at the duo, trying not to show his tick marks. They were sitting in the mayor's office, with Keisuke staring at his friends.
"But Keisuke-"
"Don't you Keisuke me, Masaki," Keisuke looked at his "longest-sustaining" best friend (AKA the one who never broke promises and supported him to the end for 2 years as they rebuilt. Sorry, Touma, Akinori, Ayame.) "What was the fight about this time?"
"Erm..." Immediately, the reincarnation and human looked away, obviously unable to say anything.
Keisuke picked up on that, "Oh PLEASE don't tell me it was about who's my closest friend. AGAIN."
"Ahahahahahahahahaha...." Masaki looked away, his embarrassment clear.
"In my defense, he started it. I was too busy thinking of Natshuka," Gentouma defended.
"OI! You were not!" Masaki protested.
"Come on, you two, stop acting like toddlers," Keisuke was seriously trying to understand how Ryaku, his other best friend who had moved to the town with the rest of the Light Enchanters due to the high levels of magic here, could handle the eccentrics of his group, including Tenade, Akinori's older sister and a crazy powerful Youki manipulator (But she could be a tad bit insane at times).
"We are not!" Gentouma shook his head vigorously.
"Your actions say otherwise," Keisuke crossed his arms. "Just try to at least be more mature, please? You're setting a bad example for the kids."
The two immediately nodded. One thing they had learnt; a Keisuke with crossed arms was not to be messed with.
"Good, now if you'll excuse me, I have another fanmeet to get to," Keisuke stood up and walked away, gently closing the door as he left.
"Oi, Keisuke-kun!" a familiar voice suddenly called out as he walked to the airport, calming down after that tiring fight he had to stop.
Keisuke turned around, and immediately a grin graced his face, "Akino-nii! What's up?"
2 years of rebuilding had been used well, for Sakura New Town managed to form an alliance with the non-fictional world, where Akino, Rau, Choiseung, Chenhua and Aruke came from, with some help from Konju, who had really good persuasion skills. That had made everyone very happy, especially Ayame, who now lived in a house with them, Jorogumo, Rasen and Mister Movien.
Akino slung his arm around the leader, smiling happily, "Nothing much~ Whatcha doing now?"
"Oh, I have to head off to the airport for a fanmeet," Keisuke explained. "Did you forget already? Akino-nii, your memory can't be that bad, can it?"
"Ahahahahahahaha~ Sorry!" Akino sheepishly rubbed his head. "Anyway, when's your flight?"
"A few more hours. Why?"
"Can I talk to you for a while? I want to ask you a few things."
"Sure then," Keisuke nodded.
"Good," Akino grabbed his hand.
Keisuke froze as he felt malice and POWER flow through Akino's hand.
Power that he hadn't felt in 2 years.
Natshuka's dark power....
"A-Akino-nii?..." Keisuke started feeling uncomfortable. "W-What's going on?..."
"Oh, it's nothing~" Akino's tone suddenly got dark. His grip got tighter. "Just wanted to ask you what you think of darkness~"
Keisuke's eyes narrowed in realisation, "You're not Akino-nii."
"An A plus for realising it, RW Keisuke! You're much more smarter than our Keisuke, to be honest, but oh well," he shrugged nonchalantly. "Anyway, you're coming with us~"
"Huh? Us-" Keisuke's mouth was suddenly covered by Rau as the Hawaiian made Keisuke smell chloroform.
Keisuke struggled to fight the effects, but to no avail; the chloroform won in the end.
The 15-year-old fell to the ground, breathing, yes, but with fear in his heart.
Rau smirked as he picked up their target, "This one is way too trusting for his own good, don't you think, Akino?"
"You read my mind, Rau," Akino chuckled darkly. "Let's hurry back. It won't last long."
"Ah," Rau opened up a portal, and the 2 adults stepped through, their unwilling hostage in tow.
