Should I do it? I asked myself. Suddenly, I remembered the time when Kai promised that he would protect me. The times we argued and disagreed about many things. Especially the misunderstanding on Chen's Island! But then again, Kai is my best friend and since he said that he would protect me, I think I should protect him too! And there was Cole, whenever I am feeling down, he would put his arm over me and ask me if I was okay. I couldn't leave them to die like that. I just couldn't.

"Fine, agreed!" I told The Shadow. I shook his hand. Instantly, light came out from my hands. For the second time, my power was absorbed. It was way more painful than how Chen absorbed my power, maybe about 10 times more( so you can imagine how loud I screamed).

" You might feel just a little queasy boy, child, thing, whatever. You might want to sit down! " The Shadow lifted up a huge rock and threw it at me. I saw it coming and ducked.

"Hmph, not bad... I expected you not to be able to fight anymore..." The Shadow said impressed. Then he looked at my face. I think he saw how angry or distressed I was because after that he said, "Yes, yes I know what you are thinking. I will return Kai to you." He walked over to the hole and used his wind to lift Kai's transparent body. Then, he walked over to Kai's lifeless body and placed the transparent Kai on the body and the transparent Kai disappeared. Kai blinked and rubbed his eyes. 

"Where... Where am I?" Kai muttered, looking around. " Lloyd?! What are you doing on the floor?!" Kai rushed over to me. After the absorption, I fell down to the floor to rest from the pain.

"What have you done to Lloyd?!" Kai said threateningly

" I didn't do anything, he did! He chose to do it! I didn't ask him to!" The Shadow blamed all on me.

" I had no choice!' I yelled with all the remaining strength I could muster

" Of course you did, you had a choice to leave him behind! But of course, the green ninja just had to save his little red friend here." The Shadow sarcastically added in. (credits to @ninjagokaiisbae 4 this sarcasm)

Suddenly, it dawned on me. What about Cole?
