Short 7: Stolas' Greenhouse

Author Note: Takes Place Before Helluva Boss: The New Employee Episode 8

One day in Hell, Amara is visiting Octavia and the young Goetia princess decides to show the cowgirl owl a large building next to the mansion that has glass for walls and a glass door. Looking through the glass, Amara can see a different variety of unusual plants and flowers.

"So this Greenhouse is your dad's?" Amara asks.

"Yep. My dad likes plants and he even has a green house for it," Octavia says.

"That would explain some of the plants in the house. Including that over sized Venus flytrap in the kitchen," Amara says.

"That's about right," Octavia says.

Amara then asks, "Sorry to ask, but how is the relationship with your parents going?"

"My parents are still fighting, but my dad and I are doing a little better. I still have a troubling relationship with my mom, but it's not serious," Octavia says.

Then calmly smiles and turns to Amara, "But I'm actually glad you're here."

"Thanks. Now let's go to the green house and check it out," Amara says.

Octavia opens the door and the two owlets walk inside. There, Amara is amazed to see the different varieties of different plants and flowers, some of them are actually moving a bit and have vines.

"Wow! I never seen a garden like this before," Amara says, amazed.

"Yeah. My dad has a passion for growing different plants. You will have to be careful, some of them can either try to eat you. And some of them have poison. So try not to get too close to them," Octavia says.

"Okay," Amara says.

The two girls begin to look around the green house to see the different plants and flowers in the building. Suddenly, they come across a rather large gray colored Venus flytrap with a large mouth and tentacles.

"What is that thing?" Amara asks, confused.

"It's a Venus Flytrap. It's one of my dad's. It may be big and well, can eat you alive, but it can actually be friendly, and it can sometimes show you affections," Octavia says.

"Friendly and affectionate huh," Amara says.

She then walks over to the plant and says, "Hi."

Suddenly, the flytrap plant that actually have strange looking eyes stares at Amara for a minute, making the owl girl shyly wave a bit. Just then, the flytrap uses its large tentacles to coil around Amara, pinning her arms to the side, as it has separate coils around her arms and legs, and lifts her into the air.

"Amara!" Octavia panics.

"Uh, what's it doing?" Amara asks nervously as she is being lean close to the plant.

Just then, the flytrap gives Amara a smooch on the cheek.

Amara turns her head away, feeling a bit weird and says, "A Kissing Plant! Tell it to stop!"

"That's not going to be easy. My dad told me that it will do that to those it likes," Octavia says.

"I have to assume that it does that to your dad a few times," Amara says.

"Actually yes. He told me that it's a way of showing affection, and that it wants to play with you," Octavia says.

Just then, one of the tentacles sneaks under Amara's chin and practically licks it.

"Yeah. I'm not really in the playful mode, especially like this," Amara says.

Then the tentacles continue to coil around Amara as it forms a tight grip around it. It even gently coils around her tail feathers, making her blush and feel a bit crushed.

Amara says, "Uh Octavia, I think you should go get your dad. I'm being crushed."

"I'll go get him," Octavia says.

"Not worry Via, I'm already aware of the situation," Stolas' voice speaks up.

Octavia turns her head to see her dad wearing a casual t-shirt with brown trousers and a sun hat.

"Oh, hi dad. We kind of have a bit of a problem," Octavia says.

"Don't worry Via, I think it likes her. I think it wants to play with her," Stolas says.

Coiled by the plant, Amara says, "Yeah. I'm not comfortable with this. How do we make it let me go."

Stolas doesn't say another word, and walks over to the plant. He then gently pats on the plant, and it kind of purrs. Then the plant creature puts Amara down and uncoils her.

Amara sighs and says, "Thank you. I may like gardening and growing vegetables, but I never expect them to hug me back."

"It's no trouble. Are you okay?" Stolas replies.

"I'm fine, just a little surprised is all," Amara says.

"Glad to see you're okay, and not too uncomfortable with one of my dad's plants," Octavia says

"I suppose," Amara says.

Then Stolas says, "Now that is settled, how about I accompany you around the greenhouse and show you the rest of my plants. Just remember to be careful."

"We will," The two young Owlets answer.

The three owls begin to explore the greenhouse together to see the many plants Stolas has, and some of them are more wild than others. Stolas simply smiles to see both young owls are bonding and is able to get to be with both of them, including Amara.
