Short 2: The Little Imp and the Grown Hellhound

Author Note: Take Place After Helluva Boss: The New Employee Episode 3

In the I.M.P office, Blitz, Moxxie, Millie, and Amara are getting ready to head to the human world to kill another target for their client. Millie draws the symbol on the wall, allowing the portal to open. Since Roy is too little, and can't really watch him while she works, Amara decides to have Loona do a favor for her.

"Alright Loona, we're going to get going. Can I trust you enough to keep an eye on Roy?" Amara says.

Loona rolls her eyes and says, "Yeah yeah. I know. You only told me that live five times."

"I'm just making sure cause moxie said that you can be well, not too responsible. I'm just making sure I can trust you to watch my little brother. I promise, Roy will not be any trouble," Amara says.

"Alright. I make sure to keep an eye on the little shrimp. As long as he doesn't bug me," Loona says.

Amara chuckles with a grin.

She then kneels to Roy and says, "Now, be a good boy. Remember to stay in the office and don't open to strangers or ask Loona to answer. Make sure to have your lunch and. And I'll be back in a little while."

"Okay," Roy says with a nod.

Suddenly, Blitz calls out, "Come on, cowgirl..."

Amara turns her head to see Blitz and the others are at the other side of the portal.

"If you're done there we're going to get going or we'll be leaving without you!" Blitz calls out.

"Alright, I'm coming!" Amara calls out.

Then Amara pats him on his head and says, "And don't forget to have fun."

"Bye sis," Roy says.

Amara climbs through the portal and it closes behind them. Roy soon finds himself alone with Loona who is playing with her hellphone.

Roy walks to Loona and says, "Hey Loona, what are you doing?"

"Nothing really, just doing stuff on my phone," Loona answers.

Then Roy asks, "How tall are you? My sister is almost the same height as you."

"I'm tall enough. I'm actually older than your sister," Loona says.

"Okay," Roy says.

"So um, that guy Blitz, is your dad, right?" Roy asks.

Loona sighs and says, "He's not really my dad, he decided to adopt me when I was almost eighteen. I was almost an adult when he became my dad. He can be fuckin annoying... like a lot."

"Really? He's kind of funny," Roy says.

"You don't really know Blitz as much as we do, but he does have his uh, moment," Loona says.

"Oh..." Roy says.

He then walks to Loona, climbs on to the desk and sits down close to her.

Loona notices him staring at her, making her confused, "What?"

"Your clothes are very different from what we wear," Roy says.

"Well yeah. You and Amara came from the Wrath Ring so we dressed differently than what you wear," Loona says.

Then Roy asks, "So, what's it like working at I.M.P?"

"Well, it's actually boring on my end. Since I'm the receptionist, I'm in charge of answering the phone, greeting the clients, and shit. It's actually boring," Loona says.

"That doesn't sound like fun," Roy says.

"You have no idea," Loona says.

"Do you go with your dad and the others on their assignment?" Roy asks.

"Sometimes. I remember this one time we were dealing with a creepy muscular man, and I bit him on his neck," Loona says.

"That's cool. Can I do that?" Roy asks.

"You might be too young for that. And Imps teeth aren't sharp enough for that," Loona says.

"Okay," Roy replies.

Then asks, "You wanna play a game?"

"Eh, not really," Loona says.

Roy looks at the computer, "Can I play on the computer?"

"Have you played on a computer before?" Loona asks, confused.

"Um nope. We don't have that many computers or hellphones where we live, but I know Aaron has one, but I wasn't old enough to play it," Roy says.

"I see," Loona says.

Then asks, "So, what's it like living there? I uh, heard about what happened to your parents."

"Yeah. My parents died when I was a baby so I don't remember them or even know them. But it's okay, I have my big sister Amara, my aunt Eda, and Aaron and the others. One of my sister's friends is actually a Hellhound, but I think he's younger than you," Roy says.

"You don't say. That's actually kind of cool," Loona says, taking an interest.

Then says, "Now then, let's see if we can find you a game to play on the computer."

Loona picks up Roy and actually places him on her lap. Then Loona and Roy begin to find some games on the computer. Loona has to keep in mind because Roy is still young, even though he'll be learning about the stuff eventually. The two are able to find a game for them to play. They both take turns on the computer with a shooting game. They fire at the bullseye targets and such, and they end up having a good time. A little time later, Loona and Roy are having lunch.

Roy says, "That was a cool game, Loona."

"Yeah. I knew you liked it," Loona says, relaxing on the receptionist chair.

"So what else can we do?" Roy asks.

Loona shrugs her shoulders, "Maybe we could play one game. I think Blitz has a deck of cards in his office."

"Okay. What kind of card game we can play," Roy says.

"Not much since there's two people, so Go Fish I guess," Loona says.

After having lunch, Loona is now playing,

"So kid, do you have any eights," Loona replies.

"Go fish," Roy says.

Loona takes a card from the pile and puts it in her pile.

"So Loona, do you have any Jacks?" Roy asks.

Loona rolls her eyes and gives Roy her card. Roy takes the card and puts it down on the pile. Roy and Loona continue to play the cards, and do their best to keep themselves entertained while the others are away.

Just then, the portal opens and with that, Blitz, and the others step out of the portal. Amara also walks out of the portal too.

"Hi kids, we're back from work. Another day, another fuckin bitch kicked the bucket," Blitz says.

"Sir, you threw the grenade inside the wrong house," Moxxie says, glaring at Blitz.

"Hey. We at least got the target. That's all that matters," Blitz says.

Amara sighs, "Blitz, you should at least try to be more responsible while you're doing your work."

Blitz rolls his eyes and notices Roy and Loona are playing a card game together.

"Well now, it looks like the two are getting along," Blitz says.

Loona looks over her cards and glares at him, "Shut up da-"

But quickly answers, "Urgh... Blitz!""

Amara kneels to Roy and asks, "So Roy, how did things go while I was gone?"

"It was good. Loona taught me a cool shooting game on the computer and we're playing cards," Roy says.

Amara smiles and says, "That's good to hear."

Then turns to Loona, "Well Loona, I can see that I can actually trust you to look after my brother."

"Yeah. I mean, taking care of him isn't exactly hard. He actually wasn't in trouble," Loona says.

Then Roy asks, "Hey Loona, can you teach me how to bite down on demons?"

"Huh?" Amara says, confused.

Loona sighs, "I told you, you're too young. Besides, you should focus on your own talents. Besides, biting on the target is a good way of defense."

"You'll have to wait until you can learn how to fight," Amara says.

"Anyway, can I hang out with you more, Loona?" Roy asks with a smile.

Loona calmly smiles and says, "Sure..."
