Jamie flew back to Heaven before sighing and heading back home.

"Any updates?" one of her friends, Gabe, asked.

(A/N Gabe is short for Gabriel.)

"No uprisings and I have a demon wanting to kill me," Jamie told him nonchalantly.

"Oh wow. Details on that," he said.

"He's hired by another demon, who wants me dead, and I already have a suspect of who," she explained.

"You don't think it's anyone from that organization you're friends with, do you?" Gabe asked, a little harsh.

"Look, Gabe. I know you don't like what they do. Believe me, I don't either. But they help keep uprisings down, making it easier for us and they get to let out some badassery. So give them a break. And no, they're like family, as well as Stolas and Via. It's the other Goetia I have my suspicion about," Jamie said.

"Stella. From how she acts, I wouldn't doubt it," Gabe replied.

"There's more. The one after me used to be after Stolas because she hired him to kill him because he slept with an imp, who are looked down upon. But Stolas never looked down on them. And because I'm close with Stolas and Via, it only makes sense that she would want me dead," she said.

"But why get someone else to do her dirty work for her?" he wondered.

"Because she's pettier than Blitzø making a bet over a parking spot," she pointed out, making Gabe raise an eyebrow, then she explained, "That's the imp Stolas slept with and he did that with one of his exes."

"Got it," Gabe nodded then asked, "So what are you gonna do?"

"Well, I'm not gonna hide up here. It's not gonna affect me doing my work. Blitzø even said he wouldn't tell me to stop, just to watch my back," Jamie answered.

"Now that I can agree with a demon on," he commented then added, "But seriously, don't do anything too reckless. You tend to jump into a lot of things without thinking, even if you don't know much about who you're against."

"I get it, but while he's dangerous, he doesn't know he's messing with one of the top self-trained angels in Heaven," she remarked.

She headed home as Gabe sighed.

"Don't let it get to her head," he whispered before heading out himself.
