Chapter 25: Reunions with Good News

The two demon dad-figures immediately hugged her tightly, making her laugh lightly.

“It’s great to see you both too,” she said.

“We’re just relieved to have you back,” Stolas told her.

“Yeah. Don’t do what you did again,” Blitzø stated.

“Now you know I can’t promise that. Just like I did it for Striker, I would do it for any of you,” Jamie responded.

Then the rest started to burst in.

“We heard Jamie’s here!” Millie shouted.

“Where is she?!” Moxxie yelled.

Stolas and Blitzø moved to show the angel, who waved and smiled at everyone.

“Hey guys,” she said.

The married couple hugged her tightly before she saw the two girls she saw as sisters, smirking at her.

“Good to have you back,” Loona replied.

“Good to be back,” Jamie responded as she hugged her.

“And did you see our dads making out?” Via smirked.

“Oh, I did,” Jamie did the same, hugging Via.

“Wait. How’d you know about that?” Blitzø asked as they parted.

“We were listening through the door,” Millie stated nonchalantly.

“Millie!” Moxxie freaked out.

They all heard a deep chuckle and they turned to see Striker leaning against the doorframe, making Jamie’s eyes widen.

“It’s good to see my girl back in the game,” he remarked.

She cupped her mouth shut before rushing to him and hugging his neck, him wrapping his arms around her waist and breathing her in.

“I’ve missed you,” she whispered.

“I missed you too, doll,” he returned.

They parted then Jamie asked, “Now I’m glad, but what brings you here?”

“Working. It’s Day 3,” Striker answered.

“Wait. You’re working here now?” she asked, turned to the others with a smile, then went on, “You’re serious?”

“Yeah. We all saw the big change in him, so I hired him…again,” Blitzø answered.

Jamie giggled then commented with a smirk, “You really are one helluva boss.”

(A/N Sorry. I had to. 😂)

“F*ck yeah I am,” Blitzø smirked then said, “We should market that.”

“Well, back to the previous conversation, it did take more convincing on Moxxie’s part,” Millie informed.

“I’m assuming you swayed him,” Jamie guessed with a smirk.

“You’d be right,” Millie said, them both laughing a bit and fist bumping as Moxxie blushed.

“But remember, I’m still not a fan of this line of work, but I don’t really have a say since I’m assigned here,” Jamie reminded.

“So, the big guy’s letting you come back?” Striker asked.

“Yeah. I was afraid He wouldn’t, but because of how I impacted your life, He allowed that. He even added my desire to read and write stories.”

They congratulated her for that.

“Now there is still one more matter to discuss,” Stolas replied then said, “I’d like to know about this promise that Striker decided to keep for Jamie.”

Everyone turned their attention to the cowboy demon and the angel they saw as family.

“It was more of a final request for if I killed her,” Striker admitted, rubbing the back of his neck, then continued, “She requested that I wouldn’t go after you two or anyone else she cared about. Regardless of how things played out, I planned to keep that promise. Then I got to know her and she made me realize that not all blue bloods are what I thought, so it’s more than keeping it now.”

Even though they already saw the change in Striker, they were still taken back by this. Stolas then approached them with a serious expression.

“I had my doubts when I heard of your change, but after you saved Via and I, as well as how you handled the fight with Stella, I see it. And that is enough for me to place some trust in you,” Stolas told him, holding his hand out to Striker at the end.

Striker and Jamie were shocked before he shook Stolas’s hand.

“But know if you hurt Jamie, you’ll deal with all of us,” Stolas threatened with menacing eyes.

Striker just smirked and said, “I don’t plan on hurting her, but I do love a challenge.”

Jamie cupped her face and shook her head, knowing she was in for a way wilder ride than ever.
