Chapter 4- Hell's Comin' With Me
Well hot digity daffodils, am I surprised at how quick I'm cranking these out. I'm like a speed demon here!
The demon and human traded blows, punch after punch, kick after kick; nothing. Judgement would block, Y/N would dodge like a trained green slug man, but neither would really get anywhere with the other. Helltaker glared, watching intently. It was the first time they'd ever seen him truly serious about someone getting hurt, whether it was his own pain being brought into question or that of his demonic companions. Of the two, they were all aware of demonic durability. Perhaps it was just his brotherly instincts kicking in.
"I ADMIT, YOU'RE SKILLED FOR A HUMAN!" Judgement complimented. Y/N smirked and lunged forward, throwing a feint before slamming his foot into her side before he took a half step back.
"And you're sloppy! STOP HOLDING BACK!" he demanded, returning to his stance as he waited for his opponent to stand back up. Judgement smiled wickedly as white chains began wrapping around him and her both.
"AS YOU WISH!"
Helltaker was silent, continuing to watch while the demons immediately fell into despair.
"Damn, now I'll never know how much he likes Warhammer..."
"Looks like the kid is gonna pop!"
"He seemed like he knew how to make coffee. How disappointing."
"Oh, I'll never be able to figure out how he got to Hell! Or how he got so strong!"
"Well, he lasted longer than I thought he would. Badass!"
"YES! REGRET EVERYTHING YOU'VE-" she was cut off by the sounds of extreme exertion and chains groaning under stress.
"HNRRRRRRRG!" The sight of the chains being in any way resisted caused Judgement to slip up, the chains going lax around them both before Y/N slipped out. The smile on her face threatened to split her skull right off.
"YOU ARE THE FIRST AND POSSIBLY LAST MORTAL TO EVER ESCAPE FROM MY CHAINS! SHOW ME MORE OF YOUR STRENGTH!" Judgement yelled as the two clashed again.
Their blows connected more, as shown by how blood was dripping from Y/N's forehead and mouth, while Judgement was already forming bruises across her stomach and face.
Kick
Punch
Dodge
Chains
Dodge
Punch
The two went back and forth like a boat rocking on the sea. Both of them landed opposite hooks on each other, launching Y/N back. He just barely grabbed onto a chain that helped hold the Sin Machine still, struggling to pull himself back on. It seemed like Judgement was going to kick him off before she did something that surprised everyone. After pulling him up, the two took stances again, neither willing to settle for a ring out. Right above them, the group watched and Lucifer smiled maliciously.
"I see. If this is a fair fight, then the battle is already decided." Helltaker sighed.
"So you admit he's lost?" Lucifer asked. Justice laughed.
"I mean, he's a human fighting a demon, to have bruised her as much as he has is cool enough! Kinda hope he doesn't die though..."
"Hold on, I never said he's lost the match." Helltaker looked down at Lucifer with a smug grin of his own, crossing his arms.
"You mean... you believe he's going to win?" Azazel asked. Her confusion was tainted with a sense of relief.
"Believe? I know he's going to win."
"Can we just watch the fight? It's getting good. Or, good-er."
True to his word, the fight started tipping in the human's favor as he landed a solid series of jabs on Judgement's face, causing an onyx ichor drip down her face and force the demon to close her eye.
"NOW WE'RE EVEN!" Y/N laughed, the excitement in his voice practically electrifying the air. Judgement matched his smile and the two circled each other.
"I HAVEN'T BEEN THIS ENTERTAINED IN DECADES! IF YOU WIN, HUMAN, I WEAR ON THE BLOOD SHEAD TODAY THAT I WILL ACCEPT THE LOSS AND GRANT YOU MY UTMOST RESPECT!" She made it clear her next move was going to be different than the usual punches and kicks she'd thrown at him.
"Then let's finish this! One more blow to decide the match!"
The two charged each other, Y/N reeling his fist back for the ultimate haymaker, while Judgement moved to stab her hand into his chest. The punch connected first before the hand stabbed into his stomach. As Judgement fell, Y/N staggered back, slowly raising his fist to signify his victory.
"Y/N wins, Lucie.~" Justice smiled, high-fiving Helltaker.
"Aye Halo? Angels know healing magic, right? 'Cause I could use a buff..." he said before falling to the ground. His vision began to fade, but he couldn't stop the laugh from slipping out, causing intense pain as it did. The more he laughed, the more the pain faded, just like the hellscape around him. He could almost hear the faint cries of worry and panic just beyond his dulled senses. Death was a bittersweet embrace it seemed.
Y/N shot upright, feeling as though ice water had been poured over him in the middle of January. His head was spinning and it was like he'd had a railroad spike driven into both his eyes. He looked around only to see a sterile, almost bleached white room with giant metal cubes and lasers?
"Did Hell go through a rebranding or what?"
