Chapter 2- Can't Fight the Feeling

I'm putting memes related to the character featured at the beginning of every chapter. After all the demons are introduced it'll be random. Or not. Depends on whether I can make it work.

"Y/N..." Helltaker said, looking up at his brother. The younger of the two had just knocked Helltaker on the ground with a solid right hook. Pandemonica stepped between the two and was attempting to break up the fight.

"You're every bit as boar-headed as Dad ever was! Couldn't even wait to talk with your own brother about it! Couldn't fucking wait!" Y/N said, his voice cracking as he glared down at Helltaker. The other demons with him seemed to back off and let the two brothers deal with each other. Azazel put a hand on Y/N's shoulder, able to hear the pain in his voice.

"We've already lost Dad, had to put down Daisy last week, and now this?! What was I supposed to do if you got stuck down here?! You're lucky I'm smart enough to put the pieces together! You're all I have left now and I swear to God if you die too, no force on Heaven or Earth will stop me from kicking your ass!" Y/N shouted, grabbing his brother by the collar and lifting him up. Just when they thought another fight was about to break out, the two hugged each other.

"I... I'm sorry. I really should spend more time with you. When we get back, I'll have you move in with us. Promise," Helltaker sighed, patting his brother's shoulder. Y/N smiled weakly.

"You sure you want me to finish this journey out with you? I might end up like Mr. Steal Yo Girl," he joked. Helltaker lightly punched his younger brother in the shoulder.

"Still just as sarcastic as ever," Helltaker smirked. The group began walking together and Cerberus began pestering Y/N about the moral realm.

"You know you're going to be kept on a tight leash right? He might say he's going to let you corrupt the mortal world or whatever but you honestly wouldn't do much. I work as a Zombie Hunter, I've fought aliens, and I heard that the Communist Cats were starting some trouble with the Earth Defense Force. I doubt you'd be able to corrupt it much more," he said. Cerberus began making the ever-infamous puppy dog eyes and surprising just about everyone, he resisted.

"You'd be surprised just how much your existence makes me curse God for not giving me enough hands."

"Um, please don't curse God..." Azazel said nervously.

"Right, sorry about that Halo," Y/N said, chuckling. The conversation was interrupted by the presence of another puzzle.

"Hang back, I got this one BJ." Just like before, Y/N began hurling boulders and giant rocks out of the way until they made it to the end.

"Yo, did you just clear that puzzle? That's awesome!"

"Nah, I just ripped the boulders up and tossed them out of the way." Everyone but Helltaker looked at him with shock.

"What?" Y/N asked, confused.

"Dude, those boulders are thousands of pounds. And you're saying you picked them up as easily as I can. What's your max on cleaners, dude?" Justice asked, still 'looking' at him.

"I think I was at 345 last time I maxed out." Y/N paused for a moment.

"Maybe it's because I'm still alive? I mean, BJ can kick them around like a soccer ball, so..."

"Yo, that's sick. I'll tag along since you're all going to see Lucie right?" Helltaker stepped up this time and nodded, leading the slowly forming Night Parade on their continued path to the castle.

"So Mr. Y/N, why do you call me 'Halo'? You know my name is Azazel, right?" the curious angel asked curiously.

"Yeah, I know that, but it was the first thing that came to mind when I met you, and it just kind of stuck for me. Every good friend needs a nickname, right Blind Bandit?"

"Right! ... what's Blind Bandit from?" Y/N chuckled.

"I'll tell you about it when we get home," he said. Helltaker, however, looked back and smiled. It was good that he wasn't alone anymore, especially after finding out that his pet rabbit had to be put down not too long ago.

"You seem to be quite happy that he's starting a harem of his own. Aren't you upset he's making good on his promise?" Pandemonica asked, sounding just as exhausted as she looked.

"Nah, he needs someone to be there for him when I can't. be. This'll be good for him." Helltaker looked down at Pandemonica.

"You might want to prepare for him to give you a nickname. It might be something simple like shortening your name, or it could be something related to something he associates with you. Like how Halo is pretty obvious, and Blind Bandit is in reference to a blind character in a show we watched as kids." For the first time since they'd met, Pandemonica smiled, if only slightly.

"I don't think I'd mind that."
