Chapter 3- I Have Vacation Days?!

Y/N grinned, cradling the beauty of a weapon he had in his arms. Like any true American, he'd requested a weapon the Germans had utterly abhorred during the World Wars. The shotgun that rested in his arms was none other than a Winchester 1897 shotgun, complete with heatshield and bayonet. The gun was made with modern precision and specs but retained the original design and functionality. Alucard looked on at the boy with curiosity as he played with it. Pip Bernadotte couldn't help but grin at him. The Frenchman couldn't suppress his chuckle as he finally looked away.

"Like a boy with a first love. I knew the Americans liked their guns but this is something else," he joked. Y/N just rolled his eyes.

"It's a combination of a love for history and psychological warfare. If these vampire fucks truly are from the early 1940s, then they'll hate this little reminder of their loss during the first World War. Did you know they actually submitted a formal protest, claiming that shotguns violated the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907? Ironically, the Germans were the ones to introduce the world to chemical warfare with Chlorine gas," he spouted off. Pip reeled back slightly.

"Really? The Nazis did that?" he asked, receiving a shake of the head.

"They weren't Nazis at the time. This is still during the first World War, so we were being introduced to the concepts of machine guns, bombs, aerial combat, and tanks," the werewolf corrected.

"You sure seem to know your history," Alucard said. He was intrigued by the idea of someone being so well-versed in the history of a gun that even the events around the gun were at least somewhat familiar to him. The rest of the plane trip was rather quiet, save the odd screaming of Seras now and again. Y/N felt a little bad for the girl. Stuffed into a coffin and forced onto a plane as cargo? It reminded him of being chained up. His smile fell as he thought about it.

"We should have given her more options. It doesn't feel right treating Seras like that," he said, crossing his arms as he stood up. Y/N slung the weapon over his shoulder and his fingers twitched as if he was grabbing a shiv.

"Relax, we're about to land so it won't be long before she gets to stretch those legs of hers," Pip said, grinning slightly.

"Or are you just interested in how they look?" he teased. Y/N, instead of getting embarrassed, shrugged.

"Can't say she doesn't look good but I'm more of a boob guy so," he replied casually.

"I can hear you up there!!" the muffled voice of Seras called out. Y/N laughed and strapped the bayonet to his chest.

"Well, whaddya know! Surprised she can, between the engine and the wind outside and all!" he teased, earning a laugh out of Pip. Y/N sat back down, strapping in as the seatbelt lights came on. Despite all the joking, Alucard could tell something was bothering the werewolf outside of just the conditions Seras was in. Perhaps, he was unaware of his monthly transformation and the full moon would awaken that side of him during the night.

'Police girl, the mutt is going to lose himself tonight. You'll need to take care of him should he prove a threat,' Alucard telepathically told his thrall. Seras stopped yelling as soon as Alucard entered her mind.

'Y/N? A threat? But why?' she thought, only to receive no answer. The idea of Y/N turning on them crossed her mind, but she shook it off. He wouldn't betray them after everything he'd been through. Those thoughts didn't matter as she heard the engine's roar die down and realized they had landed. A familiar, and somewhat comforting scent told her that the resident werewolf was carrying her.

"You won't hurt us. You won't hurt me, right?" Seras asked quietly. Suddenly, the coffin she was in shook slightly as Y/N began laughing.

"Not on your undead life!" he said cheerily.

Finally in the penthouse, night had fallen and Seras had come out of her coffin. She stretched working out the stiff joints. A quick glance over at her new partner revealed a shocking sight- he was bent so far backward his head was poking out from under his legs! Seras's jaw dropped, and eyes widened in surprise.

"Heheheh! Oh, that reaction is priceless!" he said, laughing like a gremlin.

"When did you learn to do that?!" she asked.

"Had to twist my body in really fucking weird ways to escape until finally they just tied me up. I guess my body remembered that and thought it was useful enough to keep," he said, bending back up. He did several other stretches and impressed the vampire before a group of guards burst in and shot Alucard. Like a lot. And before either of them could really comprehend what was happening, Alucard just reformed his body and killed all the guards.

"how... the fuck?" Y/N asked, looking from Alucard to the ruined window. The window... Before anything could change the course of events, Alucard was already on his warpath through the rest of the hotel. Meanwhile, Seras was calling Sir Integra, trying to explain what was happening.

"Seras, I need you to listen to my instructions. Under no circumstances, are you to allow Y/N to move alone should he look at the full moon. He could become a danger to himself, the public, or even you. We haven't dealt with werewolves before so be extremely careful," Integra said, drawing Seras back to her friend. He was gone, the only sign he'd been there were gouges in the wall and floor leading to the bedroom. The vampire hung up on Integra, striding over and throwing the door open in concern. What she saw was awful. Y/N was lying on the floor, writhing in agony as his body shifted and twitched uncomfortably. His form grew out of his clothes and ripped them apart, his voice and cries of pain turning to a wolfish howl.

"Y/N...?" she asked hesitantly. As the fur finally started appearing, she could see why she was to be careful around him. His teeth were several inches in length, and his paws had sharp claws. Finally finished with his transformation, the wolf that was Y/N turned to Seras and slowly walked up. A low growl exited his throat, with fangs bared.

"Y-Y/N, it's me, Seras. You promised me you wouldn't hurt me, remember?" she asked, for the first time worried she wouldn't be fast enough to reach her rifle should he not have control. She closed her eyes and turned away, hearing him sniffing as if something caught his attention. Suddenly, Seras was lifted by the collar of her uniform and was gently dropped on the chair next to her. Opening her eyes, Seras watched as he lept out of the window and down to where Alucard and another vampire were fighting.
