||Chapter 21: The Weather Station||
Kyle ran his hand through his hair,"Kyle, do you or can you handle alcohol well?", "I. . . I dunno, it's been a few years since I last drank.", possibly because he hadn't drank in a while.
Robert took the glass away, then Norman poked his head in,"Hey, Norman; How can I or your dad help?", "I just wanna check on Dad.", Robert smiled,"That's very nice of you.", Norman smiled, Robert glanced at Kyle who seemed there but a little out of it,"Your dad is a little tired at the moment.", Norman nods,"Okay; He deserves to rest, I hate to worry him and. . . Make him stress.", Robert chuckled,"Ya don't kid, you can't control it.", "Exactly. . .", Kyle sounded a little more tired, Robert smiled,"You go have fun and I'll be back to help.", Norman nods, going back to Ike and Theodore.

Taking Kyle upstairs to his room, Robert then heard a ping from his phone.
Sitting him down, he turned it on to see if it was someone important so he could tell Kyle in the morning.
Gordon
You know what will happen if you step out of line.
That asshole.
Working at the Banner must be awful, honestly it was impressive Kyle hadn't drank away his sorrows.

Lisa and Quentin made it to The Weather Station, out of breath from running and walking up.
"Christ. . .! Why is it so far away. . .?!"
"Dad likes to hide things, made sure everything was made in secret to prevent people stealing his ideas."
Okay, guess that was reasonable.
Lisa unlocked the door, holding the door open for Quentin.
The inside?
Creepy as heck.
Big computers, machines 10x tall, an upstairs, tools and chemical stuff everywhere.
"Woah. . . Look."
Police tape!
It was a doorway,"A. . . Doorway?", "Into the catacombs.", Lisa approached with her flashlight in hand, trying to be brave,"Dad sometimes used it to store things.", they slipped under the place tape, and walked down.
And soon the floor turned from wood, to dirt and uneven ground.
"Hm. . ."
A cleaner station thibg was knocked over, having some kind evidence marker.
"Why would they run in here?"
"Maybe an attempt to lose the attackers and circle back, and or find another way out."
Lisa nods, following the tape they came to an open space with a huge pit that also had tape wrapped around it.
Evidence marker on a bloody pipe, blood still on the ground and what looked to be some scuffle foot marks that were also marked.
And, white outlines of where Franklin was found and Theodore.
"! Someone's coming."
They ducked back.
. . .
"Pretty messed up. . . They were definitely teenagers, but how fked you got to be to break in here just to attack one kid, and when we had met the kid he was pretty timid, quiet and really nice."
"Kids are sometimes fked up. . .."
. . .
"Okay; We'll take this pipe back to the station, there's blood and possible fingerprints; That could lead to us to an answer. You think the eldest attacked them back."
"Wouldn't blame the kid or put it past him, we've seen that kid could handle himself quite well."
So. . . Franklin fought back?
They waited for the footsteps and voices to grow quiet, but not before hearing something about the adult attacker.
"And the adult attacker?"
"No idea. . . But whoever it was nearly killed Theodore Peterson, that blow was any harder and that kid could have died. . . "
. . .
Died. . .
That word rang in Lisa's head. . . She had already lost Franklin, she couldn't imagine losing Theodore too in one night.
The catacombs grew quiet.
Lisa hugged her knees, holding back tears as Quentin held her close.
"What matters is Theodore is okay, and getting better. . ."
"But. . . What if the family Doctor was right. . . Right to worry about. . ."
Lisa remembered it too well.
Theodore was at home, still in a coma and sleeping almost too peacefully for her liking as she looked at her brother's state.
"Just as I feared."
He had said.
"The Primary Somatosenory Cortex has snapped, damaged beyond repair."
He told her parents.
"This is unfortunate; This will effect his life from now on and not just physically: It will effect his decision making, Fine Touch, Astereognosis possibly, Impaired Pain and Temperature Perception, and more. . . Right now, it seems like his leg has a slight twitch and it can be helped with rehabilitation but. . . I worry if he'll be able to lead a normal life."
~
His words echoed; That night changed everything for their family.
