*inhales* Alright I told myself that this would be a randomness book and I would only rant if it was absolutely necessary. But I think this qualifies. So here we go my first rant and it's gonna be about RWBY volume 5 chapter 2 Dread in the Air. I'm not gonna talk about Lionheart talking to Salem or Cinder being able to talk again or Weiss's fight with the Lancer Grimm or Raven kidnapping Weiss at the end of the episode meaning she could be used for ransom leading to who knows what kind of consequences. No I'm gonna talk about

Sienna Khan. My most anticipated character since we found out the high leader of the white fang's name in volume 4. Now I don't usually berate Rooster Teeth for what they put on the show but for crying out loud couldn't they have waited before killing her off?! Now for those of you that saw my first chapter of this book  you saw the meme I posted about Sienna living for literally five minutes.

As soon as I saw this face I knew things were about to get bad. Now I thought this was how things were gonna go. Adam and Hazel would meet Sienna Khan and we would find out that she's the real villain in the White Fang and Adam is just a pawn which would lead to him eventually helping Blake when she gets to the High Leader's lair. Along the way until we got to that point would be Adam's redemption arc. But no instead we get this

Now I'm not saying that I don't think Adam will get redeemed. I just think now it's gonna be exceptionally difficult to pull off. Adam has blood on his hands, literally. If he does get a redemption arc I think it'll have to be through his own men turning on him and then he'll realize all the bad he's done. Or something like that. Oh and don't think I didn't notice this

Hazel looks legitimately upset that Adam murdered Sienna. Now I don't know if this is because he wanted to talk peacefully with her to get her on their side instead of using force or maybe something else. I'm still holding out that Hazel isn't a bad guy. But I guess we'll have to see. Sienna Khan was a character that I was so looking forward to seeing, mostly because I love Shere Khan, the character she's based on. I think she had a lot of potential to be my favorite villain but now we'll never know. In those five minutes though I was glued to the screen just watching her and it was cool to finally see her motives for the Fang and her feelings on the human race. RIP Sienna Khan hopefully no more characters will join you this volume.
