"Friday is gonna be epic!" Troy Paris exclaimed, before class Tuesday morning.

Elia rolled her eyes as a bunch of guys in her home room began yelling whatever nonsense teenaged boys seemed to care about.

"What's wrong with him?" Alex wondered, turning to Cecily.

"Oh you know, Miles is throwing another one of his party's. This one is supposed to be even more "epic" than any of the others." Cecily shrugged.

"Were you invited?" Alex asked.

Cecily nodded. "I'm his best friend's girlfriend. He kinda had to, or else... Well you know Jesse. He'd bring me along anyway. He doesn't care for rules like that."

"Oh..." Elia frowned. Miles had always been friendly with the entire class, so it was a wonder why he hadn't mentioned it to anyone except Jesse, Troy, and Cecily.

She could understand not being invited to a party. That was fine. She could live with that. Still... It stung a little, if she had to admit.

Ugh don't be so vain. He can invite whoever he wants. No biggie! She relaxed.

She turned to look at her psychology partner, who was discussing something with his best friend Michael, in hushed tones. Looked likely were geeking out about the new Binding Blood video game from what she could over hear.

"Hey, Finn right?" Miles sauntered over to the two nerds.

Finn's eyes went wide at being addressed directly by Miles. "I uh yes that's me."

"Cool, dude. I'm having a party Friday and I was hoping you two would come. We haven't talked much, but hey, I'm always up for having more friends."

"Us two?" Finn gaped. He and Michael shared a glance.

"Yeah, but you don't have to. If you want. Up to you, man." Miles shrugged, smiling.

Finn nodded. "No that's awesome! Thanks! We'll be there."

Miles smiled, turning away from them.

Oh... So Michael and Finn were invited. Good for them. They were pretty much the most unpopular kids in the same psych class, but that was cool. No biggie that Miles hadn't invited her.

"Oh, Alex!" Miles turned to the redhead. "You and Danny gonna be there right?"

"Yeah, man! Wouldn't miss it." Alex high fived Miles.

Miles' glaze landed upon Elia. He smiled. "I'll see you there, I hope."

She raised an eyebrow. "Am I invited?"

"Of course you are! Well, I mean... It'd be cool if you were there." Miles shrugged.

Elia flashed him a dazzling smile.

"I'll be there."
