Hey, amici!

Did you remember that I promised you something about how Elrond and Elros were found by the two remaning sons of Feanor?

I was wondering of how this could have happened for a very long time, since there are like a million different versions of it (which may be because it is described in what? Half a sentence?)

But most of the versions I saw are like:

Maglor: Hey guys, don't be affraid. Everything is fine. Just ignore the blood I'm literally covered in.

and then its either

the twins: Well, we don't have a family anymore, so why not going with the strangers who slaughtered them?

or

Elros: If you come a step closer, I 'll stabb you with this tiny mini-dagger I'm carrying!

And Maedhros usually stands aside looking grumpy.

For some reasons I feel, that's... not quite what has happened. Besides, one of the onehundered Fandom-wikis claimed the two kids would have been in the cave. 

So, I hope my version is a bit credible.

In fact I hadn't planned to do this that soon, but I had to spend a 12-hour journey in a car and absoloudly didn't want to practise for my next chemistry-exam (seriously, that nonense is harder to understand than the mind and motivations of Manwe!). 

What I had planned was to make it a cartoon (because there is much more action, than emotional struggle and because I'm quite up to making Silm-comicpages lately), only that I prokrastinated it because I was affraid of all that perspective-stuff (you'll see, what I mean, immediately) and, my goodness, I have done so much wrong in this, both in terms of perspective-stuff and landscape/surrounding-stuff. Also, putting a oneshot, that would fill like two pages when written into a comic-page takes alot of effort (doing the skech took me a day, the outline with ink another one, not to speak of the colouring... Seriously, just WHAT am I doing with my life?). Also, I did some basic mistakes, like getting confused about the protagonists' clothes or letting their hair fly into different directions, but never mind. I'm not completely happy with the result, but also quite proud of it. Well, I should stop shooting my random thoughts at you. Have a look yourself:

Do you see, what I mean with that perspective-thing? Well, I'll get better. I'm still practicing. And I failed Maglor's face at several occasions. And I still manage to draw Maedhros with two hands and notice it only just in time. Never mind.

But I like the fact that Elrond would rather die than to leave his brother. Do you know that moment when you read/see something about a character and think "Oh my goodness, that's so heartwarming" and then you remember that they will either die or loose everyone they love?

I get the feeling that in this fandom it happens more often than in others.

Also, I had half planned to do another page where Maedhros thinks abou the Ambarussa. But then I kind of sourced the problem out by making him the narrator, which is way better. And I wanted a last page, with Maglor suggesting to get the twins some dry clothes to express that the decision to take them wasn't 100% intentional, but just kind of happened. It would end with something like this (with Maedhros still being the narrator): "Isn't it funny? We thought, we were doomed. We had prepeared to die. Then we suddenly had a family. Not an ordinary, but a loving one. And we lived a whole life in only a few years."

Or someting like this. I don't know.

Anyway, something entirely different: I reckon that "Lenda i morielenwe" will be finished somewhen in the middle of june. Now, I didn't really want to start a new silmarillion/Tolkien-releated project again, because I have quite alot of other things to write and also school stuff and also some privat projects that are quite important to me. But there was that oneshot and it kind of ended up to be much longer than I expected and I started splitting it into chapters and now it's allready half written...

 What I want to say: What do you think about a fanfic-like projekt about Maedhros and Maglor from Valinor to the end of the first age?

It would be very much not in the style of a novel, but more like single scenes releated through  some kind of leitmotive. I can't really say much more without giving spoilers, but what do you think about the idea of another project in general?
