Frickledy Frack
"Well isn't this cute!" A voice rang out. I jolted from my sleep and fell to the ground. I looked around the room to see that I'd fallen asleep in the living room. Judging by the fact that Alex was on the couch I'd fallen from, I wasn't alone. Looking over toward the front door, I saw Trott, who was the one who spoke.
"Trott," Alex groaned, sitting up and rubbing the back of his neck.
"Sh!" Trott shushed, pointing to the other couch. Lucy and Ross were asleep and cuddling on it. I smiled at the sight.
"Such heavy sleepers, they are," I mumbled as I stood up from the floor. Alex made room for me beside him and I sat down.
"Trott, why'd you wake us up?" Alex asked, seemingly annoyed.
"It's Saturday, Smith!" Trott said happily.
"And...?" Alex questioned.
"That's it really," Trott shrugged. Alex gave him the evil eye and I laughed lightly.
"That's not a reason to wake us up so early," Ross said suddenly.
"Yeah," Lucy mumbled, cuddling closer to Ross.
"You guys having a nice time over there being cuddle buddies?" I smirked.
"Cuddle buddies? Oh!" Lucy exclaimed, dislodging herself from Ross' arms and rolling onto the the floor. She stood up and dusted herself off.
"Real smooth," Trott commented.
"Oh shut it," Lucy huffed. She turned to Ross. "Sorry about that, Ross. I bet that was, uh, awkward..."
Ross laughed as he sat upright on the couch. He took Lucy's hand and pulled her toward him.
"It wasn't awkward," he smiled as Lucy landed beside him. He put his arm around her. Lucy gave him a happy look.
"What's with the sudden public display of affection?" I asked.
Ross shrugged and looked over at Lucy, giving her a smile. She smiled back at him. I guess she understood what was going on. I sure as heck didn't...
"Anyways," Trott interrupted. "I'll see you all later!"
Alex stood up quickly and walked over to Trott.
"Whoa there, mate," Alex said. "You better not be taking off to wherever it is you take off to."
"Relax, Smith," Trott said. "I'm going out to eat with Kadie."
"Promise?" I asked. "Promise me that's where you're going."
"I promise," Trott said, rolling his eyes. "And even if I were taking off, which I'm not, it wouldn't be any of your guys' business."
With that, Trott left the apartment. Alex sighed and sat back down beside me.
"I really wish I knew what was going on with him," Ross said.
"Have you guys asked him about it?" Lucy questioned.
"We've tried," Alex sighed.
"He just changes the subject or goes on about how 'it isn't his place to tell'. I honestly don't understand whats going on," Ross said.
/////
"You guys suck at this game!" I exclaimed. We playing Mario Kart 8 and I was in first, Lucy was in third, and Ross and Alex were all the way down in eighth and ninth.
"Seriously," Lucy laughed as she crossed the finish line. "I thought you guys were just playing it up in Kim's videos but I guess not."
"Well, at least we didn't come dead last," Ross defended.
"Yeah we're not that bad," Alex agreed.
"You just keep telling yourself that, dear," I said, patting his shoulder. He turned to me and pouted, pretending to be upset.
"I can't believe you'd say these things to me," he fake cried.
"Aw I didn't mean it!" I apologized, going along with it.
"Oh no, she meant it," Ross smirked.
"Yeah, you're right. I did," I giggled and gave them a big grin.
"Oh my gosh!" Lucy exclaimed suddenly. I looked over at her with a confused face. "Aunt Loren's wedding!"
"Aunt Loren's wedding?" I asked, confused.
"Don't you remember? Aunt Loren is getting married in two weeks!"
"Holy crap," I facepalmed. "How could I forget?"
"Seriously, how'd you forget your own Aunt's wedding?" Ross asked, laughing.
"A lot has been going on recently, okay?" Lucy laughed. She suddenly stopped laughing and her expression went serious.
"What's wrong Luce?" I asked.
"We need to go to America," she said. "We have to be there for Aunt Loren."
"What about mom and dad?" I asked.
"Hang on," she said, holding her pointer finger up. She pulled out her phone. "I'll call them."
I nodded and leaned my head on Alex's shoulder.
"Hi mom!" Lucy said to the phone. "Uh huh.... yep. I know, Mom. Yeah... Mom? Are you and dad going to Loren's wedding? Really? I'm sorry... Gotta go! Love you!"
She hang up the phone and sighed.
"What did she say?" I asked.
"They don't think they should go cause of Dad," she frowned. "I still think we should."
"Yeah!" I agreed. "I love Aunt Loren!"
"Are you going to the wedding by yourselves?" Alex asked.
"Well, I was gonna ask you to come with me but..." I trailed off.
"I'd love to go! It'd be cool to meet more of your family," he smiled.
"Ross? I don't know what's happening between you and Lucy. Like, whether you're dating or not. But would you like to go as well?" I asked.
He looked over at Lucy and she gave him a giant grin.
"Sure," he smiled.
"You sure Trott will be okay on his own for a few days?" I asked sarcastically.
"Yeah. As long as we leave a lot of food and water in his bowl, he'll be fine," Alex joked. Me and Lucy chuckled.
"Don't forget the pee mats," Ross added.
"Nah mate, don't worry," Alex laughed. "I'll get everything sorted."
"All joking aside," I began after I stopped laughing. "The wedding is in exactly two weeks so I think we should fly out in around a week, maybe a bit more. Sound good?"
"Probably," Ross said, pulling out his phone. "But we'll run it by Lewis to make sure.I'll tell Trott while I'm at it."
"Okay then," I smiled. "Back to kicking y'all's butts at Mario Kart!"
After a few more games, Trott and Kadie walked into the apartment. They made their way into the living room and sat in empty seats on the couch.
"Geez, what took you guys so long to get breakfast?" I asked sarcastically.
"We did other stuff too," Kadie shrugged.
"The frickledy frack?" Lucy whispered faintly. I started busting laughing. I was laughing so hard that I lost my lead in the game and Lucy got ahead of me.
"Oh my God," Kadie laughed. "No Lucy, we did not."
"Oh sure. I totally-" she crossed the finish line first. "First place! Boo-yah! Eat sh*t! All the catchphrases!"
"Not fair!" I frowned."You cheated!"
"I did no such thing," Lucy defended, pretending as if I hurt her feelings.
"Yes you did! You made me laugh!"
"I don't see what's so funny about the frickledy frack, Lena," Lucy smiled.
"What?" asked Alex. "The f**k is the frickledy frack?"
"Slang words, yo," I chuckled. Kadie facepalmed.
"What is it slang for?" Trott asked.
"Going to the movies," Lucy answered. I snorted in laughter.
"No... No it's not," I said in between laughs. "I can't believe you've never heard the term frickledy frack!"
"I have," Kadie laughed. "It's internet slang for-"
She was interrupted by the doorbell.
"The sexy times," I said in Kadie's stead as I stood up. I walked over to the front door and answered it. A semi tall woman with short blonde hair and blue eyes stood on the other side. She smiled faintly at me.
"Oh hi," she said awkwardly, giving a small wave. "I'm sorry I think I've got the wrong apartment."
"No it's okay," I smiled. "Who you looking for?"
"Tro- um, Chris Trott," she said.
"Oh he's right inside!" I said. "You can come in if you like."
"Thanks," she mumbled as she stepped inside. I lead her into the living room.
"Hey guys, we have a guest," I addressed the group. "This is..."
"Lexi," she said quietly. I could tell she felt uncomfortable.
"Lexi?" Trott questioned. "What are you doing here?"
"You know her?" Kadie asked. She was ignored.
"Um, I, uh..." Lexi stammered. "I needed to talk to you..."
Trott stood up from the couch and walked over to her.
"Sure," he smiled. "I told you we would talk anytime you needed to."
"Okay," Lexi grinned back. "I actually, uh, have to go to the toilet first. If that was too much information, I'm sorry but... oh well."
"It's the first door you see when you go upstairs," I told her. "Can't miss it."
Lexi thanked me and made her way upstairs. Kadie got up from the couch and went over to Trott.
"Chris?" she asked. "How do you know her?"
"Uh..." Trott stammered. Kadie's expression grew angry.
"Is she your girlfriend?" Kadie asked angrily. I stepped away from them and back over to Alex. Kadie can be pretty scary when she's angry.
"No!" Trott denied. "She's just a friend."
"Is she the one you've been taking off to go see?"
Trott nodded. The rest of the people in the room just watched quietly, unsure of what to do,
"But it isn't like that, I swear!" he added quickly. "I just help her out!"
"What do you mean you 'help her out'?"
"Is this about me?" Lexi asks from the bottom of the stairs. She quickly ran over to Kadie and Trott with tears forming in her eyes. "I'm so sorry! I didn't want to cause a fight! I just wanted to talk to someone."
"No don't worry," Kadie smiled. Kadie would never want to make someone feel bad. "It's not an argument. I just want to know what's going on is all."
Lexi looked over at Trott.
"You can tell them," Trott smiled. Lexi smiled back and sat on one of the couch's armrests. She took a deep breath in.
"Where to begin," she laughed quietly. She thought for a moment before continuing. "I've been a hatter for a long while. I've also been depressed for quite some time. Or at least, I think I am. I have Nosocomephobia, the fear of hospitals, so I haven't seen a doctor or anything about it. It's okay, though, because I had Hat Films. You guys' videos made me so happy until it stopped working."
"I don't really know why, it just did. So I was in the park one day, trying to remedy my sadness, when I saw Trott. I nervously went up to him and introduced myself. After awhile, I felt confident enough to tell him my story. He gave me his number and if I ever needed someone to talk to, to call him. Once we started talking, I felt a lot better about... everything, I guess. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble," Lexi finished her story.
"You haven't caused any trouble," I smiled at her as Alex and Ross went over and hugged her. And I went over and hugged her. And then Kadie, Lucy, and Trott did as well. We all pulled away from the group hug and gave Lexi smiles, welcoming our newest friend into the group.

SAME AUTHOR'S NOTE AS BEFORE :3
So hi there! I would just like to point out that I don't like author's notes (I feel like they break the flow of stories), especially when they make their own chapter. But you know what? This is the only thing that'll work apparently.
I'm sorry there haven't been any updates lately. I have a good reason though!
Basically, my best friend who lives really far from was visiting me. She left yesterday so I can start my updates and stuff! Yay for updates, boo for Bff leaving :/.
Anyways, that's point number one. Point number two is that I was in a collab book! Yay! It's called Yogscast Academy (A Collaboration Story.) The concept of the book is pretty much that a whole line of authors write each chapter, giving people to see other people's writing styles and such. It's really amazing, in both the story and the line of writers writing for it (no, that was not a compliment to myself. I was referring to the other ones lol). It's on PlotTwistsAndCake's profile thingy so check that out if you wanna.
