Chapter Three~Ahhh It's a Big Pile of Rocks
Wanda's POV
I could definitely tell something was up with the young couple's relationship. You didn't have to be a child of Aphrodite to know(I picked up some CHB slang).
Percy was on edge and seemed sad all the time, though he tried to hide it with a smile.
Annabeth, unconsciously it seemed, began to drift away from Percy, distancing herself. Almost as if she was trying to protect herself and her feelings. I tried not to pry into their minds too much, but Annabeth seemed angry and hurt.
And it all seemed to stem from Percy's newfound immortality. I decided I would bring it up to them later to see if I could get a straight answer.
It also seemed like we never stopped walking. The maze was said to be sinister and evil, but so far all we had encountered was the odd monster, and one time an army that Percy conveniently took care of by going supernova.
Annabeth broke the silence that had held for a good three hours. "We should be getting closer soon," she said quietly.
"Closer to what?" Tony asked. "The Underworld. Jaeden's hiding down there somewhere. Maybe even.." she trailed off. Percy looked back in sympathy but did nothing else to comfort her. Probably because she was giving him the cold shoulder.
We all knew what they were referencing to. It would make sense, you know, for Jaeden to be waiting for us in his father's territory. I hope and pray we won't have to venture there.
I sidled up to Percy and Annabeth. "So, what is up with you two? What better time to express your feelings than now, in a dark and depressing place? It'll get the mushy stuff moving along."
Tony and Steve both looked back to watch the show. Percy and Annabeth both visibly tensed. Then Percy did something that was totally, well...Percy.
"Look! A distraction!" He yelled and then took off down the corridor. And like an idiot, I fell for it. And of course, there was nothing there.
"Percy!" Annabeth groaned. She jogged to keep up with him and I motioned for Tony and Steve to follow. We trailed behind and watched Percy and Annabeth trudging along beside each other, not really acknowledging the other's presence.
The gears in my brain started turning. I noticed how the structural support systems in this part weren't particularly strong. There was a fork in the path up ahead and I saw what I had to do.
I knew it was a risky move, and I knew we might lose them, but I also knew that they were them and they would find us again. And I knew that we wouldn't be getting anywhere if we weren't a working team. And we weren't a team without Percy and Annabeth.
I started moving the rocks around and messing with the structures. Steve raised an eyebrow at me and I jerked my head telling him to get his ass over here. He shoved Tony and they both came over.
I gave a shout and tore down the ceiling. Percy and Annabeth turned around in surprise. Part of my plan means that they can't know it was me so I ran forward and started yelling, but Steve held me back. Soon the two disappeared from view.
Tony turned to me. "Okay, what the hell was that for?" He asked. "They'll catch up, I'm sure of it. But they need to get their shit together and get over whatever the heck it is that's going on between them. And no one can do that but themselves. Come on, let's go," I explained and started walking again.
Tony nodded like I gave a valid argument and joined the entourage.

Percy's POV
"No!" Annabeth yelled in frustration and pounded on the wall of rocks. More started to fall and I grabbed her arm and tried to pull her away. Her eyes darted around. She finally decided that it was probably a good idea to run and she took off ahead of me, not so kindly ripping her arm out of my grip.
I'll admit, that hurt. My feelings, not my hand.
I debated staying right where I was, but I can't die so that kind of defeats the purpose. Sighing, I jogged to catch up. "So what's your deal?" I asked her.
She looked startled that I had asked such a question. "What do you mean?" She asked.
My vision got blurry and there was a sudden lump in my throat. Annabeth looked down. "I-I don't know. I guess I'm just trying to protect myself," she whispered. She sat down against the wall and I moved to sit next to her.
"From me?" My voice was a hoarse whisper. "From what you'll become," She answered. I cupped my hand under her chin and turned her to look at me. "You remember that day? I turned down immortality because I couldn't stand the idea of not being with you. And I don't regret that decision for a second. And I wish it wasn't this way but it is."
"I'm just...I don't know, scared? After all we've been through, I'll lose you," she confessed.
"I'm scared too," I said, "I'm so, so scared because one day, you'll die and I won't, and I'll never get to see you in Elysium like we promised and I'll just go on forever. And I don't want to end up like any of the gods. And I don't want to be alone, because trust me when I say this: when you die, I will die with you. And my poor soul will have to go on living for eternity. I'm terrified."
Hot tears were streaming down my face now. Annabeth's chin trembled and she grabbed my face with her hands. "I've been such an idiot and a jerk to you. Instead of enjoying the time we have together, I've been trying to distance myself from you. I'm sorry. Perseus Jackson, I love you so much and I will always love you."
Before I could utter another word, she pressed her lips to mine. I melted into the kiss and pulled her closer to me. Let's just say things got a little heated.
Time skip...
I woke up the next morning(I think it was morning) with Annabeth cuddled into my side, her head on my chest. I kissed her forehead, remembering last night.
I shook her awake and she immediately blushed and pecked me on the cheek. Yes we did the do, just chillax. Anyway, we decided we should probably try and find the others again, considering we got split up. We both knew the chances of that happening, but hey- when it comes to odds, we usually just do it anyway.
So we started our trek. We held hands and talked freely and it felt good that we got over whatever was between us. It was good to talk it out and figure things out. In a way, I was glad that the ceiling very conveniently collapsed, separating us from the others. Very handy(no pun intended).
"Do you remember the first time we met?" Annabeth asked out of the blue. She looked at me with the cutest smile. "How could I forget?" Pressing a kiss to her nose, I continued. "That was the day I was told I drool when I sleep."
She laughed, a truly beautiful sound. "How about the time—". She was cut off by a monster pulling her in the other direction. The nasty thing must have been hiding around the corner. It held Annabeth with dagger sharp claws at her neck. She. Looked. Furious. I felt bad for the monster.
She elbowed it in the gut and using the surprise to her advantage, grabbed his arm and whipped around, judo flipping him right on his back. She pinned him to the ground.
I started clapping. "You go girl! Put the cute in execute!"
"PERCY!" She yelled in annoyance and brought her dagger down and turned the poor monster to golden dust.
She strode back over to me and whacked me upside the head. "Hey!"
She laughed and grabbed my hand again.

Tony's POV
It's been two days since we last saw Percy and Annabeth and I was beginning to think that Wanda's plan was a total bust. I mean, what if they were hurt or killed? What if they killed each other! Nah, that probably wouldn't happen, right?
We were just walking along when Steve discovered a secret passage way. We decided to venture in because, hey! It's a secret passage way and secret passage ways are cool!
We emerged in a sunny park in the middle of somewhere. I don't know where we are tbh(Peter's been teaching me the slang).
Looking around, we could see dogs running around, people playing frisbee, children playing tag. And at a picnic table sat our missing peoples. Percy and Annabeth were talking easily and lovey dovey like they were supposed to. So I guess Wanda's plan ready did work.
We walked over and they looked up in surprise. Percy gave me a man hug and Annabeth smiled from ear to ear. I guess Percy felt like he was leaving people out, because he gave Steve and Wanda a hug as well. Wanda wouldn't meet their eyes though.
I nodded back to the entrance of the maze. "Back to the maze?" I asked.
"Back to the maze," they agreed.

Hello my peoples! I haven't seen you in so long! I've missed you! I felt so bad for the short chapter last time and it was eating at my conscience so I decided to give you an almost normal size chapter.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it and I demand you to have the best day ever! Remember to vote and comment! Love you demigods:)
