Twenty-Nine: The Doctor & Effie Quill

"Now..." I grinned, ruffling my hair suggestively to the Doctor. "I know Amy and you are suspicious, so I'm going to tell you one thing, you're right! You are missing something about me, something I haven't told you," The Doctor face held slight amusement along with intense happiness as he smirked at me. The Timelord took slow steps closer to us, Amy, trailing right behind him. "But I'm not going to tell you because you trying to guess makes it all the more fun!" I cheered, the Doctor still coming closer now just a few feet away.

"And so now, I end my little speech on this," I paused for dramatic effect. "Kiss me like today's your last day, Timelord." The Doctor didn't need to be told twice as he stepped forward taking me within his grasp.

Everything seemed to leave my mind as I was left in pure bliss upon his lips touching my own. People weren't lying when they said kissing the one you love was one of the best things to experience.

The Doctor was gentle in the way he kissed, treating me as if I was a china doll who would crack with too much force. At first, the Doctor was unsurprisingly waving his hands around not knowing where to put them, but Amy walked behind him silently helping to place his hands.

With a snicker, she put one of his hands on my waist gently draping the other across my shoulder. Immediately the Doctor held me tighter after Amy helped, pulling me impossibly closer the two of us not even blinking at Amy's help.

"And that is why the Doctor can't get rid of us..." I heard Amy mumble as she moved to stand next to Rory.

I ran my hands through the Timelord's brown locks, smirking in the kiss as I successfully messed it up.

"Mmm," The Doctor hummed as a sign that he knew what I was doing to his hair, licking across my lower lip.

I gasped opening my mouth when the Doctor made a move very unlike him, moving his hands to grip my ass. It was clear he only did it to make me open my mouth in shock which I did, so he was able to stick his tongue down my throat.

The second a small sigh of pleasure left my lips, Rory's arms were directly in between us forcing us apart and Amy was making siren noises in the background.

"Okay!" Rory yelled, standing between the Doctor and I like a wall. "I know we're on Contraxia, but please, keep it PG." The Doctor blushed brightly as if just realizing what we were doing was put in the open for everyone to see.

However, he wasn't able to say anything before Amy pushed Rory out of the way and was gripping me in a tight hug. I laughed squeezing her back as she suddenly pulled away, running her hands through my hair.

"Your hair!" She exclaimed, playing with the shorter strands. "So different, but I like it!" I smiled her way.

"Yeah, I had to cut it, it was getting to a length that was just downright nasty." She laughed at my words, the Doctor unhappy that he wasn't involved in our conversation stepped forward.

"Yes..." Amy yelped as he pushed her away, taking a handful of my hair and tugging on it. "Very different, makes you look even more mysterious." He waggled his eyebrows, Amy returning the favor once again pushing him out of the way.

"Move it, Raggedy Man!" The Doctor yelled as he was shoved to the ground, Rory shaking his head while helping him stand. "You were not at my wedding! I don't blame you, of course, but you missed it!" Amy sighed, finished playing with my hair. "It was amazing!" I smiled at her words, putting my hood back over my head not wanting any more snowfall to get on the black tuffs.

"Oh, I wouldn't say that..." I smirked, thinking of the vision I had.

Amy furrowed her brows, the Doctor and Rory looking to me in confusion.

"Elaborate." The Doctor ordered, me nodding but looking around Contraxia.

"Of course, but perhaps we should take our conversation inside..." I trailed, the three following my gaze in looking around.

Multiple Ravagers eyed us, mainly me in confusion. Thankfully, before any could come over and blurt out my identity, the Doctor not liking the looks they were giving us ushered us inside the TARDIS.

I was last to enter my gaze slipping around the brothel filled planet one last time, my heart clenching when I realized I was leaving the Guardians without an ounce of an explanation.

As if Gamora were reading my thoughts, I suddenly saw her exiting one of the bars her eyes wandering around the planet absentmindedly. Peter followed her out, seeming to apologize about something causing the green Zen-Whoberi to roll her eyes.

However, before I could dart into the TARDIS without either noticing, Gamora's eyes fell on my form. Eyes widening when she noticed the police box, she nudged Peter who followed her gaze until his eyes were staring at me as well.

"Persephone!" She screamed in a mother-like tone from across the way, her and Peter breaking into a sprint to try and get to me. "Tell that Timelord the truth this instant!" Gamora had a knack for knowing when I did and didn't do something.

Luckily for me, the Doctor, Amy, and Rory were already inside the TARDIS. With an apologetic look, I simply shrugged.

"Not yet!" I screamed back, causing them to go faster. "Sorry, I'll see you all soon!" I quickly opened the TARDIS doors, dodging inside and locking them.

The Doctor turned to me questionably, myself not wasting any time before walking over to the control panel.

"Hey." The Doctor scolded as I quickly began pulling levers, taking the TARDIS to a random part in space far away from Contraxia and Andromeda in general.

"Damn it!" All four us looked to the TARDIS doors wide-eyed upon hearing something smacking the outside of the TARDIS.

I recognized the voice as Peter's and realized he had smacked the TARDIS doors. However, I imagined the TARDIS completely disappeared before he could actually do anything about it.

"What was that!" Rory asked with huge eyes, looking to the Doctor who kept his gaze focused on me.

"I don't know, care to share, Effie?" I could hear the sarcasm in the Timelord's voice as I piloted the TARDIS away from Contraxia.

Putting in a random date somewhere in the year 2015, I looked up meeting the Doctor's gaze innocently.

"I have no clue." I smiled, earning a huff from as he walked over to me. Knowing to get his mind off of Peter's voice before he demanded more information, I quickly began explaining the vision.

"From what I can tell when Amy remembered you, she had a sort of rebound effect on me. For the entirety of your wedding, I was connected to Amy watching as you were brought back and mentally I could see everything at the wedding." I smiled, shimming my shoulders a bit while popping down to Amy.

"So, in a way." I bopped her nose with a playful smile. "I was at your wedding, Mrs. Williams." Amy smiled in joy, as the Doctor suddenly grinned.

"In which case, you so my fantastic dance moves?" He questioned making me scoff while looking to the cocky Timelord.

"Oh, yes..." I suddenly bent down waving my hands in the air mocking the dance moves I saw him doing at the wedding. "That should be your new nickname, Mr. Inflatable." Amy roared with laughter at my sentence, the Doctor blushing.

"Hey, I liked it." He defended himself, making me nod my head with a smile.

"Yep, I could tell." I patted his shoulder while making my way off the console, and through the hallways.

I could the Doctor following after me, Amy and Rory no doubt behind him.

"Where are you going, love?" I smirked at the Doctor's words, taking the hood off my head I pranced on my way to the kitchen.

"The kitchen, I am starved!" I sang, twirling in a circle more than happy to be back on the TARDIS.

"Ooh, why you eat, we'll show you the wedding photos!" Amy cheered. "Rory, go get the photos!" Rory sighed but followed Amy's order, as the rest of us made our way into the kitchen.

"Love?" The Doctor's eyebrows furrowed as I rummaged through the pantry. "I can make you something if you hold on just a second." I simply waved him off, too hungry to wait.

I was planning on ordering something at that bar, but for obvious reasons, plans changed.

"No, no! Thanks for the offer, but that'll take too long! Aha!" I cried finding a box full of some sort of pastry.

The blue box read 'Poptarts.'

"What is a Poptart?" I asked, Amy, looking shocked, the Doctor shaking his head at a loss himself.

"No clue, do they not feed you when you're with the Ravagers?" He asked, myself shrugging as I ripped open the silver tinfoil the Poptart was in humming as the delicious pastry entered my mouth.

Sitting at the table, eating my Poptart quickly, I explained the food situation through a mouthful. "We don't get a lot of food when we're out." I tried, technically it was the truth in a way.

The Guardians and I are constantly busy, we don't always get as much food as we want. When my current Poptart was gone, I reached into the box opening another.

Amy watched, shaking her head at us. "I can't believe neither of you has ever had a Poptart." She sighed, the Doctor ignoring her going on to question me some more.

"What were you doing on Contraxia?" I rose my brows at his question, shoving more of the Poptart in my mouth.

"Does that really need to be answered? Ravagers like Contraxia, we always go there. However, while they're off screwing some robot, I'm usually stuck wandering around, hence how Rory found me." Another lie passed through my lips, lying was becoming second nature at this point.

Oh, why didn't I just tell him the truth when I first met him? It would have made things so much simpler.

The Doctor hummed, as Amy watched me dig for a fourth Poptart in shock. "Are you actually so hungry that you can eat that entire box?" I nodded, the Doctor sighing as he watched me eat.

Deciding to get their attention off my starving nature, I came up with a question. "So, Rory mentioned that you guy's have been busy, what's it been for you, seven months?" The Doctor nodded his head, pursing his lips.

"Why, how long has it been for you?"

"Three years."

The nonchalant answer caused both Amy and the Doctor to go into a coughing fit.

"What!"

I laughed, shaking my head at the two. "Nah, I'm just messing you! It's only been a few weeks." The Doctor let out a breath of relief, Amy shaking her head.

"Jesus, Effie, I thought you were serious." She clutched her heart, myself smirking with a few more giggles.

"Nope, but what I am serious about is you not getting enough sleep, Mister." I scolded the Doctor, who rolled his eyes at me. "Yeah, that's right, Rory told me you barely sleep. I mean honestly, you knew you'd find me eventually." The Doctor shook his head.

"Well, excuse me, but I've missed my partner in bed..." An awkward silence filled the room at the Doctor's words which could easily be taken as an innuendo. "That sounded wrong, I meant my sleeping buddy!" I pursed my lips, shaking my head.

"That doesn't sound any better." Amy laughed, as the Doctor blushed looking to the table.

"Oi, shut up, you both know what I meant!" His words made Amy laugh harder, Rory taking this time to walk in.

Finishing off the last Poptart, I licked my fingers clean grinning at Rory. Rory sat on the other side of me, moving the Doctor out the way much to the Doctor's dislike.

I smiled gazing at the picture of Amy walking down the aisle and kissing Rory. There was another picture with the Doctor in it of all three of them smiling fondly to each other. A lot of the pictures looked as if the people didn't even know they were being filmed, all three of them looking natural.

A few were of just the Doctor, him talking to many of the guests, or smiling on the dance floor. One picture had Amy wearing the Doctor's hat and running away from him as he chased her.

I laughed at that, handing all the photos back once I had seen them. Amy smirked, pointing to the one of the Doctor chasing her.

"It took him a full five minutes to notice me dancing with his hat..." I laughed at her words, the Doctor scoffing.

"It's only cause I was talking to your mother, and his mother." The Doctor pointed to her and Rory.

I laughed along with them, cutting myself off with a yawn. The Doctor looked to me with a small grin, standing up.

"I'm assuming you haven't slept in a comfortable bed for a while?" I only shook him off.

"I'm fine..." I again yawned, making Amy roll her eyes.

"Oi, space girl! Go to bed, we have adventures planned for tomorrow." I smiled at her words, finally agreeing.

"Okay fine, but I need to shower first." I waved them goodnight as I made my way to my room.

I smiled upon seeing the room looking just as I had left it. Shrugging my coat off, along with the rest of the clothes I made my way to the shower, excited to once again be spoiled with the amazing water.
