Thirty-Six: Wedding Bells

"How do you know me?" I asked Robin, as far as I was concerned I had never met this man in my life.
Robin Hood looked confused for a moment before his eyes lit up in understanding. "First time seeing me?" He asked earning a nod from myself. "Does anyone but River know who you really are yet?" I shook my head, Robin sighing in understanding.
"In which case, Effie..." He winked, holding out one of his hands. "I'm Robert Hood, but call me Robin for short." I shook his hand, a small smile lighting up my features. "You'll see me around soon enough, but for now, I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with these chains." He shook his leg, rattling the chains.
The dragon's roar sounded about making me jump with wide eyes. "No time!" I yelp, taking the chains in my grasp melting them on the spot.
Robin screeched, jumping away from the hot liquid metal, a small piece of chains which weren't attached at anything still cuffed to his leg.
"Thank you, hothead." He smirked, myself scowling at the nickname already disliking it.
"Don't ever call me that again, now come on." Robin laughed at my comment, following me as I peeked out the broken door looking for the dragon.
I nodded when the coast was clear, the two of us sneaking through the hallways. "Not that I'm unhappy to see you, but where exactly is my wife?" He asked me, the two of us pause as the end of the hallways, looking around the corner checking to make sure it was safe to move.
"Well, the dragon kind of saw us, so she left to get a more reliable way home. She doesn't trust her vortex manipulator for three people, so she went to get the TARDIS." Robin nodded at my words, his face lighting up in amusement.
"Let me guess," We ducked behind a wall, seeing the dragon's tail. "The Doctor didn't know you left, again," I smirked at his words, apparently, me randomly leaving with River Song happens a lot in the future. "Are you two even married yet?"
"Uh..." I grabbed his hands, both of us darting to get to the hallway leading toward the stairs. "No, he doesn't know I came, reckon he'll be rather mad when he finds out River and I ditched him and the Ponds again. And, he just proposed..." I proudly held my ring in his face, Robin taking my hand to get a better look at it.
He chuckled at my words, setting my hand down. "Nice, now-" He was cut off by the sound of the dragon, his face going pale as he looked to something over my shoulder.
My shoulders slumped, ears ringing at the loud growling coming from behind. "The dragon's standing right behind me, isn't it?" Robin nodded quickly, myself turning to face the oncoming danger.
An enormous glaring red dragon, with talons the size of hell, and coal black eyes stood on all fours, black smoke puffing out from its flared nostrils. Gulping, I didn't dare move, fearing it would lash out and kill us.
"Okay," My ears pricked at the familiar wheezing sound, turning to the dirty window I was able to see out the front of the castle. Just over the rickety cobblestone bridge, the TARDIS was appearing.
I watched, Robin following my gaze letting out a breath when we both saw the TARDIS. River Song was the first to burst out of the doors looking panicked, the Doctor coming right after her looking even more panicked.
Rory and Amy both came after, looking concerned, but also gazing around the castle in wonder. Despite its scary appearance, it definitely was a sight to behold. I mean, how many castles actually were surrounded by lava.
My heart seemed to relax slightly, at least our ride was here. River gazed at the bridge with concern, the Doctor placing one foot on it, immediately recoiling seeing as the bridge seemed to shake with his weight.
Perhaps, River and I coming to the castle used up the last of the bridge's strength. Deciding I would figure something else out when Robin and I actually managed to get to the bridge, I instead grabbed his hand looking to him frantically.
"Get to the bridge, I'll distract the dragon," I told him, Robin nodding as he darted to the steps, myself waving my arms about, and running in the opposite direction to get the dragon to chase me.
The dragon roared, breathing fire at me. Of course, the fire did nothing to me, myself only flicking my wrist making the fire go back toward the dragon. The dragon reeled its head in rage, more fire pouring from its mouth as it began racing toward me.
"You know..." I ran around it in a huge circle, before darting for the stairs. "My fiance, oh, I do love referring to him as my fiance, will be rather cross with me if I kill you, so you get the perk of staying alive." I shot my hands out, blocking the flames from me.
Racing down the steps faster than I thought I possibly could run downstairs, my breath was cut short at the dragon destroying the tower to follow me downstairs. Leaping down the last of the steps, I quickly turned around shooting fire from my hands at the dragon to slow it down.
Once more, I faced the exit, my eyes widening when I saw Robin standing outside, just in front of the bridge. The Doctor, River, and the Ponds all stood across the bridge, the TARDIS behind them.
"Hello, wife!" I rolled my eyes, seeing as Robin was just casually standing there. "It's been a while, and I can't exactly get over this bridge to kiss you!" Robin Hood was very eagerly waving to River Song who was grinning ear to ear.
The Doctor, Amy, and Rory looked how I did when I first found out River was married. The Doctor began pointing back and forth to River and Robin with an open mouth.
"When?" Is all he was able to blabber out, looking at a loss for words.
River patted the Doctor's cheek, not answering his question, only yelling back to Robin. "Don't worry, honey! We're bringing the TARDIS over there." Yeah, there was no time for that.
Glancing behind my shoulder, my worry spiked when I saw the dragon on my ass. Turning back around, I ran toward Robin, only one thing on my mind.
"RUN!"
Everyone's eyes were on me, then to the dragon behind me. Robin yelled in fright, the Doctor's voice screaming for me to run.
"C'mon." I grabbed Robin's hand, the two of us having no choice but to cross the rickety stone bridge.
Like everyone predicted, the bridge could no longer hold any weight and began collapsing behind us. Robin and I ran, the dragon breathing fire.
Rory was quick to open the TARDIS doors, Amy following him inside along with River while the Doctor stood outside holding the doors open for us. Robin and I leaped off the collapsing bridge, the bridge no longer standing once we were off.
Robin was the first to enter the TARDIS, followed by me, the Doctor shutting the doors as he was the last to enter. River Song was already at the control panel, flying the TARDIS away.
My heart was still racing from the adrenaline of everything, myself only watching as River easily took us to orbit around the planet away from any dragons. Before anyone of us could mention anything, River turned around kissing Robin.
Robin kissed her back before they pulled away happily wrapping the other in a hug.
"I missed you, my wife." He held, her before the two pulled away simply drinking each other in.
"As did I, and what's this? A beard?" River laughed, playing with his braided beard.
Robin rolled his eyes, tugging on his beard. "Yes, couldn't exactly shave."
The adrenaline was still rushing through me, the fear of the dragon at an all-time high. I was using my powers like no one's business, one wrong look from the Doctor and he could have seen. He could have found out, and if he had found out everything would be over.
The Doctor would hate me, and he'd leave me. I couldn't lose him, not now, not ever. I needed my Timelord.
"I can't believe you went off with River when we were waiting for you..." I turned to face the Doctor who stood in front of me, angrily messing with his bowtie every few seconds.
He scolding seemed to get drawn into the background, one single thought emerging within the forefront of my head. I wanted to get married. I wanted to marry him right now, not tomorrow, not next week, right now.
With no warning, I stepped forward grabbing the back of his head, forcing his head toward mine in a slightly frantic kiss. His arms were frozen above his head from when I cut him off at scolding me, his lips not responding from the surprise of the kiss.
Desperate for a response, I kiss him harder immediately getting a reply as his lips began moving in sync with my fervent mouth. My hands gliding down to hook around his back pulling him even closer, as his arms finally dropped from their odd position landing on my shoulders.
We kissed for a few more seconds before the Doctor pushed me away slightly his eyes wandering my face in concern. He was out of breath, cheeks painted red. I could feel the gaze of the other four in the room, but I didn't care.
"Effie," He touched my cheek in concern. "You're crying, why are you crying?" It was then I realized he was wiping away my tears.
His face morphed into one of worry as the tears kept falling down my cheeks. I didn't want him to leave me.
"Please," I begged him, my voice coming out as a harsh whisper. "Please, please, please." I cried more, the Doctor panicking as he continued to wipe my tears away.
"Please what?" He rapidly said, holding me close as the tears fell. "What's the matter, tell me what's wrong, Effie. I can make it better-" I cut him off by kissing him again, warm salty tears mixed into the kiss.
Pulling away, I gripped his tweed jacket looking into his green irises with distraught.
"Marry me," I begged, making the Doctor's mouth fall open flabbergasted, as he watched me with shock. "Please, marry me, today." I kissed him again, the two of us going at it for a few seconds before the Doctor once again pushed me away.
My eyes were tear-filled, tear stains running down my cheeks as the Doctor pursed his lips. Slowly, he nodded, leaning down placing one last loving kiss against my mouth.
"Okay," He agreed, resting his forehead against mine, stroking my cheek tenderly. He wiped away the tears, no more falling at his agreeance. "All you had to do was ask," He whispered, kissing my head. "Let's get married!" He jumped, excited about it himself.
Looking over me to make sure I was okay, he wiped the rest of the tears away before spinning around the console room, looking at everyone excitedly.
"Well, you all heard that! We're getting married!" The Doctor began running around the console, Amy giggling with glee.
"It's about time!" Amy said, River smiling as she held hands with Robin.
"Okay, where should we get married? I do quite enjoy this time period, River showed you the Enchanted Forest, yeah? We could get married in there, magical place." I smiled fondly at his rambling, agreeing with him.
"That sounds nice." I agreed, the Doctor flipping a few switches causing the TARDIS to shake.
"Okay, let's see. TARDIS will provide with all the outfits, all we need now is a minister-" Robin quickly rose his hand, jumping up a bit.
"I'm a certified minister, I can do it!" The Doctor looked at Robin, something finally clicking within him.
Slowly, the Doctor began approaching Robin, circling him as if inspecting him. River rolled her eyes, placing her hands on her hips.
"Well, if you're done sizing up my husband, Amy and I will take Effie to the costume room and start getting ready for the wedding, or more appropriately elopement." River quipped, the Doctor ignoring her making eye contact with Robin.
"Don't believe we've met, I'm the Doctor, and you are?" The Timelord asked Robin, Amy and Rory coming up behind him eyeing Robin as well.
I mean to be fair, the guy looked like some pirate.
With a smirk, Robin dramatically bowed. "Ah, how rude of me, sorry it's just we all know each other rather well in the future. The name is Robert Hood, but you can call me Robin Hood for short." Rory's mouth fell open, Amy simply staring at Robin in disbelief.
"Wait, you mean like the legend?" Rory stuttered in shock, the Doctor's face morphing into a soft look aimed toward Robin.
"You're Robin Hood, like really, really, Robin Hood?" Amy took a few steps forward, Robin's eyebrows furrowing in confusion as he glances at me and River to see if we knew why they were freaking out.
I shrugged truly not understanding why the three were reacting like that to him. River smirked, resting her head on his shoulder curly hair bouncing.
"Steal from the rich give to the poor, quite the name you make for yourself in the future." The Doctor smiled, before turning to face Amy. "Okay! My wedding's happening soon. River and Amy, if you'll please get yourselves and my soon-to-be-wife ready. Rory and Robin, you're with me! I've set two hours on the clock, let's move!" Right as those words came from his mouth, River and Amy were dragging me by my arms to where the costume room usually was.
However, when we got there, it was different. Instead of one door leading to the costume room, it was two doors. One was pink while another was blue, I laughed when I saw the pink one was labeled bride and the blue labeled groom.
River and Amy laughed as well, Amy leading the way, River following. Closing the door behind us, my face split into a wide grin at the design of the costume room.
Rows upon rows upon rows of wedding gowns, both gold and white alike hung. Shoes of different assortments were piled on racks on the walls, the walls themselves decorated with swirling masses of gold and white.
On another side, many maids gowns and shoes were sorted. Toward the front, a towering mirror stood proudly reflecting the entire room. Vanities covered in makeup and different hair items lined the corners.
Finally, to our right was a door leading to what I would assume to be a bathroom. Amy twirled around with a giggle, smiling as she did so.
"It looks exactly like a wedding shop..." She laughed, running her hands through the wedding dresses, sighing happily. "I want another wedding." She said, River smiling in reply.
"I wish I had a wedding." River spoke out loud, turning to me.
"First thing's first, bathing! I want you smelling like something sweet, we only have two hours to get all three of us ready! So we need to be fast, it's go time women! MOVE OUT!" River pushed both Amy and me toward the bathroom. "Go, go go!"
_______
_______
"I'm gonna marry the night, gonna make love to stars..." Amy sang softly along with some Earth song that was playing through her radio sat on the vanity.
River snickered at the ironic song, Amy shaking her butt as she danced around me applying my make up. River bopped her head along to the song, doing my hair in some surprise style for me.
I allowed for Amy and River to pick out my dress and leave it as a surprise, trusting them enough to pick out something great. Amy bit her lip, as she touched up my lipstick. From what I saw on the bottle, it was a dark pink color.
I was getting antsy to see exactly how I looked, I mean you only get married once right?
You only get married once.
A part of me felt sad that the Guardians weren't here. However, the happiness of marrying the Doctor completely crushed that.
Way to go, Persephone, marrying the Doctor when he still doesn't even know your name. You've officially reached a new level of low.
"So...." Amy asked, popping the cap back on the lipstick bottle. "Have you and the Doctor taken it to fourth base yet?" I looked at her confused, not understanding that term.
River tugged my hair up, looking down at me. "She means have you two had sex yet?" My eyes widened in understanding, Amy taking a step back to check her work.
Both Amy and River had already done their own makeup and hair while I was soaking in a scent coated bath. Each looked completely beautiful in their own ways. River with her blonde hair tumbling in curls down her back and Amy with her flaming hair up in a tight bun.
"No." I sighed, knowing we probably wouldn't be able to take it that far until after he knew the truth.
But considering he's probably going to kick me out of the TARDIS when he finds out, we'll never get that far. After that vision thing I had from Space Vegas a while back, I wasn't chancing accidentally setting a fire while the Doctor and I were in the middle of doing 'that'.
I doubted I'd need to worry about the Doctor pushing for sex. Even if the Doctor wanted it, which considering he was currently a male, I'm assuming he does. He may be an awkward guy when it came to kissing and all that, but he still had carnal needs.
The only reason I wouldn't need to worry, was because even if he does want it, he was too shy about stuff like that to try and start it. I would need to be the one to initiate it, hopefully, he wasn't expecting sex tonight, because I highly doubt I'd be able to turn him down. One make-out session with him and I was goner.
"We haven't done anything except make-out," I admitted, playing with the ring on my finger.
Amy looked surprised, River expecting this since she knew my current situation. "Really?" Amy gasped, shaking her head. "Geez, what are you gonna tell me next. You're a virgin." I didn't say anything, simply clearing my throat looking down, Amy's eyes widened while River snickered. "Oh my god! You're a virgin!" She screamed, making me look at her shushing her.
"Tell the whole damn world why don't you? Look, I've never had occasion, okay." I defended myself sourly, cheeks going pink.
I was only happy that she didn't realize I was over six-hundred, that only made it worse. Amy squealed, River finishing with my hair to going to stand in front of me.
"Does the Doctor know?" Amy asked, making me shake my head.
"No! And you are not going to tell him, I'd never hear the end of it." I complained, Amy, laughing as River clipped a golden veil to my hair, causing it to fall down my back in a shimmery mass.
"Okay, but shouldn't he know you're a virgin. You know since tonight's your first night married, you're probably gonna have sex. He should know to go easy." Amy tried making me groan, even Amy was saying it. "What if he has like some weird alien-type sex ritual or something? Or maybe there's tentacles down there!" I gasped at Amy's words, River bursting with laughter.
Unable to stop myself, I gave a few giggle, lightly slapping Amy's shoulder. "Oh, shut up. The Doctor would surely be horrified if he knew you thought he had 'tentacle' down there." All three of us laughed.
The Doctor was definitely expecting sex, good gods, what am I going to do?
Option 1: I could try and do it, hoping I didn't set something on fire. But chances of that were slim, I'd definitely set something on fire.
Option 2: Say I'm not ready.
Option two it is.
Before I could tell Amy I wasn't planning on sex tonight, she continued. "Just so you know, it's going to pinch a little, and there'll be a lot blood. So even if you don't tell him, he's going to know because of all the blood-" I cut her off, with a smile.
"This'll be better information when I'm actually planning on having sex." I informed Amy, making her choke.
"What?" The Scottish girl choked.
River snickered placing a hand on Amy's shoulder, covering for me.
"She's not ready to go that far, I mean look at her face. She seems like a tough space girl on the outside, but she's just a terrified school girl inside." Amy nodded along agreeing with River, myself glaring at the curly-haired blonde.
Was that excuse really necessary?
River gave me an apologetic look, shrugging. "Okay, we're both finished! Now, for the dress!" She clapped her hands, moving the topic away from what I was classifying as Alien-Sex Ed; Pond style.
Amy and she excitedly leaped, picking up something from behind me. Turning to face the dress, I covered my mouth with my hands. I was right to trust them, the dress was gorgeous.
It was long, puffing out at the waist. Gold covered the entirety of the thing, making it look like a true Asgardian wedding gown. The long sleeves would cover my arms, and the neckline was low, showing just a bit of cleavage.
Amy suddenly stood by River holding a pair of equally as gold stilettos. For once, I didn't care it was heels, this was my wedding after all. Deciding to wait to see how they did on my appearance until I had my gown on, I quickly put the gown on, Amy bending down helping me get the stilettos on.
"You look like a Goddess, Effie." Amy smiled, her eyes roaming my body. "I honestly think you may just be the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." I blushed at her comment, giving a genuine smile,
"Thank you, Amy," I told her, River motioning me to face the mirror.
Following her orders, I faced the mirror, nearly gasping at what I saw. In the mirror, my hair cascaded down in curls, the back pulled up in an elegant bun. A clip was weaved through the bun, the veil attached to the clip causing the veil to fall down over my hair and the back of the magnificent dress.
The makeup was bold and yet Amy somehow managed to make it look natural all the same. Heavy eyeliner winged out, with golden eyeshadow and blush painted over my cheeks. My eyelashes stretched out dark and long, my lips pink.
The dress itself fit my figure perfectly, giving way to curves I didn't even realize I had. The dress covered the gold shoes, but my due to the stilettos my height was brought up just a centimeter under Amy's natural height.
My lips perked up into a smile as I turned around pulling both Amy and River in a hug. "Thank you so much." I sighed, both of them hugging back.
"Anytime." River said, Amy, nodding in agreement.
A few minutes later, the two of them were both dressed up in their own dresses. Amy's feet were covered by flats, Amy complaining about how she'd be taller than everyone if she were to wear heels.
Now the two were leading me through the TARDIS, everyone else apparently waiting outside. My heart pounded, making me breathe heavier. Amy stood by the TARDIS doors, River holding my hand.
"Ready?" She asked, Amy, looking for confirmation as well.
Smiling lightly, I nodded my head. This was what I had wanted. "Yep."
Amy gave me a reassuring look before pushing the TARDIS doors open, the TARDIS seemed to give a bunch of whirrs and clicks of encouragement.
As soon as the doors were opened, the first thing I noticed was the forest glowing, fairies dancing around playing their own little song. The grass was noticeably green and soft, blue toadstools lining a small pathway leading to a small group of people.
Standing in the center of that group of people was my soon-to-be husband. Let me tell, he took my breath away. The tuxedo he wore was entirely black, except for the large white bow tie that for once sat perfectly straight. A huge top hat covered his mass of floppy hair, and a red rose was stuffed into the pocket of his blazer.
His eyes seemed to glow greener than I had ever seen tugging on the strings of my heart as soon as we had made eye contact. This was who I loved, who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I knew what was going to happen when he found out the truth, but for now, I just wanted to live the little time we had left together.
Looking into his eyes, I knew it was all going to be okay. That he loved me as much I loved him and he too wanted to do this. There was no looking back, both of us wanted to be together. Maybe it wouldn't last and maybe I would be heartbroken, but I was okay with that. As long as I got this moment right now and right here.
On the Doctor's right side was Rory, looking a bit like his wingman, and standing just behind him on his left was Robin. It was obvious by the book he was holding that he was ready to marry us.
River quickly kissed my cheek for good-luck, before moving to Amy the both of them walking up the aisle ahead of me. Amy stood next to Rory, giving the Doctor a thumbs us, River clasping his back as she stood off to his right.
Taking a breath, I gave the Doctor a smile, the Doctor returning it with a nervous smile of his own. Despite the nervousness of it, he remained grinning ear to ear looking almost as if he couldn't believe this was happening.
Taking extreme precaution into making sure I didn't trip with the large heels, I began walking forward. The dress dragged behind me slightly, myself keeping my eyes solely focused on the Doctor. It was like a tether connected from my chest bounding me to him, pulling me closer.
When I finally got to him after what felt like years, the Doctor immediately grabbed my hand bringing it up to his lips all the while keeping eye contact. I couldn't stop the blush from forming as he brought our entangled hands down delivering a wink.
Slowly, the two of us turned to Robin who wore a happy look holding up the book. Clearing his throat he glanced around.
"Knowing you two, you'll want to get married as quick as possible, so I'll do the quick version." Robin clapped the book shut, tossing it behind him into a tree. River scowled at Robin's antics, though a small smile pulled at her lips. "Doctor, repeat after me. I, Doctor, take thee, Effie Quill," I cringed at my fake name, the Doctor giving me a questioning look at the cringe.
Shaking it off, the Doctor cleared his throat repeating Robin's words. "I, Doctor, take thee, Effie Quill..."
Robin spoke again, motioning for the Doctor to repeat him. "To my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
The Doctor took a few moments, eyes scanning my entire face. "To my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." My Timelord repeated, his voice firm and promising, his eyes never straying from my own.
"Effie, repeat after me," I looked at Robin for a second to take in his words. Earth had strange marriage ceremonies. "I, Effie Quill, take thee, Doctor..." I turned my gaze to the Doctor, giving him a wordless promise.
"I, Effie Quill, take thee, Doctor," I repeated, my voice speaking truth and promise.
"To my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part," Robin said the phrase, myself taking a moment to memorize it.
Taking the hand that wasn't holding his, I stroked his cheek gently, the Doctor leaning into my touch. "To my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
"I now pronounce thee, husband and wife." Robin did some odd gesture with his hand's between the two of us. "Doctor, you may now kiss the bride."
Everyone faded away and it was just me and him standing there. The Doctor leaned down taking my lips as his own, the electricity between us at an all-time high. It was my husband and me against the world.
Once we pulled away, everyone began clapping, Amy laughing and throwing rose petals over us. The Doctor smiled, bringing our entangled hands over our heads giving me another quick kiss.
"Okay!" He suddenly let go of our hands, pulling his bowtie off. "Time for the Gallifrey version, I got this one, Robin." Robin gave the Doctor a confused look along with everyone else including me.
"Effie, love. Take this end." I slowly grabbed one end of his bowtie, the Doctor holding the other. "Wrap it around your hand like this." I watched as he wrapped his hand around the bowtie, doing the same with my end.
The Doctor turned to Amy and Rory. "Amy, Rory, since Effie's parents aren't around I'm using you two as substitutes. Rory, please say, I consent and gladly give." Rory gave him an odd look but didn't question him.
"I consent and gladly give."
"Amy, substitute mother of the bride. Say the same thing." The Doctor ordered, pointing to Amy.
Amy knowing not to question him as well, did as she was told. "I consent and gladly give."
The Doctor smirked in appreciation, leaning toward me until his lips were at my ear. "I can't tell you my actual name, it's too dangerous, so instead I'll give you the nickname people called me back on Gallifrey. Theta Sigma, my love. My name is Theta Sigma, and I love you very much." Tears swam in my eyes as he pulled away from me.
"I love you too." My voice cracked, the Doctor looking about ready to cry as well.
"There you go, Effie Quill. You may now kiss the groom." The Doctor spoke softly, myself not wasting any time in jumping on him our lips becoming one.
Okay, trying not to have sex tonight is going to be harder than I thought.
________
________
"WIFE! Wife, wife, wife!" The Doctor danced around the control panel in his tuxedo, flipping a few buttons. "I do love that word! Where should we go on our honeymoon?" Amy waggled her brows at me, my heart speeding up.
Sex. That is what happens on honeymoons.
Once the reception and all that was over, River and Robin left via her vortex manipulator. Apparently, they lived in a house during the twenty-second century, and both were eager to get home.
Standing up with a fake yawn, I stretched. The Doctor turned giving me an odd look, Amy only handing me a look of disbelief. Apparently, she didn't believe me when I said no sex earlier.
"How about we do a honeymoon later? Like in a few months, or years! Years would be better! Geez, is that the time all ready? I am exhausted, I think I'll go to sleep, see you all in the morning!" I nervously blabbered, waving goodnight.
The Doctor looked as if he'd been slapped in the face making me feel bad. Rory's face was turning red as he tried not to explode in laughter, and Amy still watched me in disbelief.
"Wait, Effie! We're married now, we'll share my bedroom-" I waved him off, giving him my most sincere smile.
"Oh, it's okay, you don't need to be nice, Doctor. I understand you want your personal space. I'll just sleep in my room!" I quickly turned away from the Doctor's flabbergasted look, pulling up the wedding dressed as I raced into my room.
Locking the door behind me, I sighed. Well, that was one way to have a sexless night.
