Awakening
New chapter before I head to my new job! : D
Celosia groaned a little, rubbing her head. As she grew more aware of her surroundings, she could hear the sounds of city life; talking, vehicles driving by, blaring music. Which was very odd, since she was last in a wooded park, away from all of that. The girl frowned, looking around, getting more confused as she looked around. Seriously, where the hell was she?!
It smelled too. She didn't realize at first when she was still waking up, but now she could smell the smoke, blood, and other assorted scents. It was very quickly overwhelming, making her shake her head violently as she tried to stand up, wobbling violently as she did so. After a few minutes to orient herself, she properly looked down at herself, only to freeze in horror.
Her skin was a very dark blood red, with what appeared to be very faint scales occasionally. She was wearing a torn version of the outfit she had confronted Voldemort in, and by carefully feeling her head she was able to determine that the weight she felt was horns.
She would eternally deny the scream of shock. It never happened. Ever.
A few hours later....
After leaving the small side street area and asking around, she determined that 1: she had died, and it was definitely due to Dumbledore. She remembered his damn voice right before she was hit with the curse. And 2: she was in Hell, which really didn't surprise her, considering what she had done for the past couple of weeks. It just sucked that she was 15 and a dead girl already. And would apparently stay 15 forever. So yay, eternal youth! But also no! Because she didn't want to deal with pedophiles!
She scowled at the thought, making a mental note to get weapons. Lots of weapons. Hm, maybe she could get a hold of a sword... No, bad Celosia! Focus on getting a hold of money and shit first!
After some subtle pickpocketing (thank you Dursely's), she got some money, which amusingly enough, the currency was called souls. And she got more information as well. The city she was in was Nisha, basically Hell's equivalent of London. The main city of the Pride Ring was Pentagram City, and that? That was where she would be heading. It had the greatest chance of giving her a chance to make some serious money, since she still had her magic. Although she did have some worries about these Overlords, but as long as she kept to herself, she should be fine.
Some negotiating and threats of castration later, she got a ride to Pentagram City, leaving the train ticket agent shaking in fear. His fault for being a dick. She grinned as she got comfortable, twirling the knife she had stolen in her hand. She had time to learn things she never had before, and while Hell was chaotic as fuck, she really couldn't give a shit. And if she ever ran into Tom down here, well... she would do her damn hardest to kill him again. But she wouldn't make it a priority either. It wasn't like it mattered anymore, they were both dead and he definitely wasn't taking over the wizarding world anymore.
The train ride was a long one, which made sense, considering that Pentagram City was apparently somewhere in Hell's version of the States. Although, she did wonder if the other rings of Hell as described in the book did exist, and if so, could she visit them? Wrath sounded like it would be fun to see!
"Someone's a new arrival." she heard a gruff voice say. She perked up and looked over, confused. A cat sinner was sitting in the seat across the aisle, with black and red wings. He was holding a bottle of alcohol and looked half drunk already. And he was staring at her. "Er... that obvious, huh?" Celosia asked sheepishly. The guy nodded. "Considering you were just wondering about visiting Wrath.." She blushed, embarrassed at having been thinking out loud. "You can't, by the way. Sinners can only be in Pride Ring. There's a law. I dunno if the elevators will even let Sinners on, but I don't care to test it."
Celosia grumbled and crossed her arms. "Dangit." "I dunno why you would want to go there anyways, its basically a desert and a bunch of farms. Although that is where most of Hell's food comes from... eh." He took a swig from the green bottle, giving it a sour look. "Damn, this is cheap, even for me." He said, disgusted sounding even as he took another swig. Celosia looked over at him again. "What's your name?"
"Eh?" He mumbled, an ear perking up. "Your name?" "Husk. And that's all you're getting from me, kid." She shrugged, confused. "I'm Celosia." Husk mentally sighed. Either she was trying to be friends, in which case she definitely wasn't surviving Hell, or she wanted a favor, in which case she wasn't surviving Pentagram City. Either way, not his problem. After he got off the train, he was never seeing her again.
She asked small, random questions, trying to get more information. After a bit Husk just fell asleep, so she resumed looking out the window and watching the scenery go by. She didn't want to fall asleep and accidentally miss her stop after all. She was glad that they brought snacks through, even if they were expensive. She just barely had enough for some kind of nuts and a soda. Snacking on those kept her appetite sated as the train cut through some foresty sections. After several more hours, she finally saw the city.
Time to make herself at home in Hell.
Hopefully Hell is ready for the first hell-witch in a long time! I hope you guys liked it! I got some help from @Nightstar246 with the city name, so thanks! See ya next time!
