034, the kahn game
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
SPENCER, ARIA and Aspen stand together in the Brew awaiting for their drinks.
"Okay. I understand you're really upset right now. But can you please just look at this? It's a photo of Maya." Aria explains holding up her mobile with a picture of a stamp on Maya's wrist for both Aspen and Spencer to look at.
More so Aspen since Spencer's staring at the ground like a lost puppy.
"Yeah. I saw it." Spencer responds flatly, "Same." Aspen responds smiling at the barista making her order.
"I found it on her website last night. Spence, Spenny, look... there is a stamp on her wrist that matches the one Emily remembers from that night. Holden really did see her there." Aria states.
"Yup." Spencer utters looking at Aria, "Why aren't you both not all go-go-gadget about this? This is big! This is a real link between Maya and that night. Look!" Aria demands shoving her phone in their faces once again.
"Aria, I can't do this anymore, okay? I cannot keep running around looking for clues." Aspen voices looking at Spencer who sighs.
"I also can't spend hours hacking into websites. Five days ago I literally forgot to apply to college. Do you get that?" Spencer asks freaked out while the barista hands them their orders with a smile.
"Thank you." Aspen says alongside the other two while the three of them walk towards the lounging area of the Brew.
"First I drive Toby out of town... and now this." Spencer mumbles sadly.
"Hey. It was just the early admissions deadline." Aspen responds taking a seat on the single chair beside Spencer.
"Yeah. You can still get in. It's gonna be okay." Aria says trying to support the clearly upset brunette.
"Upenn has been my dream school since I was eight, Aria, Aspen. And yesterday I found my dream crumpled up in the bottom of a bag underneath my A.P. French and my physics homework. Which, by the way. I got a 'B' on, a 'B'. So no... everything is not gonna be okay!" Spencer exclaims rambling.
"I'm dropping my Velma act. From now on, I'm Daphne. Because I have got a boyfriend to get back. And I have a college to get into." Spencer states.
"I think you're confusing which Scooby-do character would have gotten into an Ivy league. And both Velma and Daphne solve crime." Aria shrugs looking at the glare Spencer is giving her in response.
"Morning, ladies. This belong to one of you?" CeCe questions holding up a cellphone— Aria's.
"Yeah. That's mine! Thanks." Aria exclaims grabbing the mobile from CeCe's hands urgently.
"Sure." CeCe responds wide eyed at the snatch before noticing the shrivelled envelope on the coffee table.
"Upenn. Who's applying?" said girl quizzes, "Not me. Cause I'm going to community college." Spencer mutters with a fake smile on her face.
"She just missed the early admissions deadline." Aspen explains smiling at her old friend.
"Hey, you don't need early admissions. You're a Hastings. If I can get in. You can get in." CeCe responds with a shrug.
"You went to Upenn?" Spencer asks stunned, "Okay. Dial down the shock." CeCe replies offendedly.
"No. No... it's just that if you went, then maybe you know somebody that I n talk to about my application. Like a Dean or a Professor— a janitor, even?" Spencer rambles looking up at the blonde.
"Well, there is this party tonight. Some people I haven't seen since high school. This guy Steven is supposed to be there. Last I heard... he got a job working for admissions after he graduated." CeCe explains.
"At upenn?" Spencer asks, "Yeah." CeCe nods, "That is great, that is awesome! Can we please go talk to him? I could just bring my application." Spencer questions holding the envelope with a pleading look on her face.
"I really wasn't planning on going. It's not really my scene," CeCe voices noticing Spencer's puppy dog doe eyes staring at her.
"Oh. You're not gonna stop staring at me like a lost puppy until I say yes. Are you?" CeCe wonders making Spencer shake her head no in response.
"Fine. We'll go. Meet me at seven outside the boutique." CeCe demands, "Thank you so much." Spencer sighs.
"Okay. Bye, lovelies." CeCe smiles turning around to leave the Brew, "Thank you!" Spencer responds happily.
"Bye." Aspen and Aria simultaneously reply, "Well, look who just got their wish, cinderella." Aria mumbles.
"You're both gonna come too, right?" Spencer questions directly the question at both Aspen and Aria.
"Hmm. Negative. I have gotta go talk to Ezra after school." Aria responds with a sigh.
Spencer looks at Aspen almost begging her to join CeCe and her tonight.
"I'll come. Sure." Aspen huffs responding to Spencer's begging puppy doe eyes.
✹
ASPEN FROWNS coming to a stop at walking into the fashion studies room seeing the teacher smiling happily at her.
"You won!" Mrs Lockman shrieks in excitement, "Wait what?" Aspen questions shocked.
"You won first place! The judges absolutely adored your work Aspen. Congratulations!" Mrs Lockman smiles handing Aspen the winning price and taking a photo of her.
Aspen smiles widely in still in shock that she won the fashion show between many other professional fashion designers.
"I'm so proud of you!" Mrs Lockman states handing the first price dress back to the blonde girl who looks at the said dress with tears in her eyes.
"I'm shocked." Aspen voices after a while of silence, "Don't be sweetheart. You're insanely talented!" Mrs Lockman states firmly looking outside the classroom hearing the bell signalling lunch is starting.
"Thanks for helping me with this Mrs Lockman." Aspen says before walking out of the room towards her car in the parking lot.
Knowing the girls will want to meet up with her in the next few minutes since it's their lunchtime.
Aspen walks back into the school's corridors towards the said courtyard seeing Hanna and Spencer ushering her over quickly.
The blonde doesn't even sit down before getting Hanna's iPhone shoved into her face.
THE APPLE ROSE GRILLE
AT CLOSING TIME.
GO ALONE OR CALEB PAYS.
— A
Spencer reads aloud for Aspen who frowns at the A message Hanna received.
"What's at the grille?" Spencer questions curiously, "I don't know. A's takeout?" Hanna scoffs.
"When did you get this?" Aspen wonders, "This morning. I talked to Caleb and then bam! The text." Hanna explains annoyed.
"Do you think it was because of Mona?" Aspen asks, "A probably knows made her stay at Radley." Hanna responds, "Has Wren said anything about how she's doing?" Spencer quizzes.
"Oh. I-I don't know. I haven't talked to him since then." Hanna stutters making Aspen tilt her head amused since that's what she use to do whenever she was nearly caught kissing Eric or even Jason.
"You can't go. It's not safe." Spencer utters, "Spencer, if it were Toby being threatened... then I would hope that you would tell me the same thing." Hanna snaps.
"Look. I've already lost one person this week. And when Toby comes back to Rosewood. If he comes back... I just hope it is in one piece, okay? So please promise me that you will not go." Spencer begs.
"Okay. I promise." Hanna nods, Aspen smiles seeing her cousin and Paige walking into the courtyard with smiles on both of their face.
As much as she dislikes Paige for all the things the girl did in the past, she's happy Emily's finding happiness after Maya's death.
"Wow. I haven't seen her smile like that since Maya." Spencer mumbles, "Yeah." Aspen responds lowly.
"So I take it we're still not gonna tell her about getting into Maya's website." Hanna states looking between Aspen and Spencer.
"She deserves a moment of happiness before we drag her down the Maya wormhole." Aspen responds.
"You know... Aria thinks it's a sign that we didn't get ahold of them that night. Like the universe just wants her to be happy." Hanna voices.
"The universe is a finicky little bastard." Spencer responds firmly.
Aspen smiles noticing Emily and Paige walking towards them laughing at something, "Hey." Emily says.
"Hey." Hanna and Aspen both greet, "Hi Paige." Spencer says, "Hey, how's it going?" Paige wonders, "Uh... it's good." Spencer responds.
"Yeah. It's great." Hanna utters making things a little awkward between the five of them.
"Great." Emily voices, "Yeah." Hanna murmurs.
"Um okay... see you later. Oh! By the way... congratulations Spenny!" Emily states with a proud smile walking away with Paige beside her leaving Spencer and Hanna looking at Aspen confused.
"Congratulations? For what?" Hanna smiles, "I won the fashion show Mrs Lockman put my designs in." Aspen shrugs.
"No way! Oh my gosh!" Hanna shrieks happily leaping over the metal table hugging Aspen tightly.
"That's fantastic! Congratulations Spenny. Does Jason know?" Spencer asks, "I haven't told him yet." Aspen responds with a shrug.
"Oh." Spencer mumbles with a nod, "He's gonna be so proud of you!" Hanna beams happy for her talented best friend.
✹
SPENCER CHASES after Aspen seeing her walking towards her vehicle ready to head home and start getting ready for the party tonight.
"Aspen... wait!" Spencer shouts, "Oh hey Spence. Need a lift?" Aspen offers, "Yes please. But that's not all I wanna ask..." Spencer states.
"Okay?" Aspen frowns unlocking the car doors and climbing inside letting Spencer into the passenger.
"Are you and Jason doing okay?" Spencer questions hearing Aspen sigh and look at the dash of her car.
"We haven't really been in contact with one another since he left. He told me he needed time to himself and that I was distracting him from staying sober. So no... I don't think we are okay Spence." Aspen explains being brutally honest with the Hastings girl.
"Distracting him? What the hell does that mean?" Spencer scoffs pissed at her step brother.
"I don't know." Aspen responds quietly driving out of the parking lot of the school towards her apartment.
She made the decision earlier that she'll just get ready at Spencer's house for the party they're attending.
After getting some clothes, Aspen is laid out on Spencer's bed watching the brunette panic at what she's gonna wear tonight.
Aria stomps into the bedroom laying beside the blonde girl with a massive sigh leaving her mouth, "He basically kicked me out." Aria rants.
"He did not kick you out, okay? He had someplace to go." Spencer responds laying a piece of clothing over Aspen's torso since the blonde girl wouldn't move.
"I'm kind of lying here despondently right now, Spence... beside Spenny." Aria mumbles.
"Well, can you just sit despondently? I need the bed." Spencer states.
"No. Lying is more despondent." Aria responds, "Please?" Spencer begs looking at both girls who huff.
"Okay. Fine." Aspen sighs sitting up beside Aria.
"Show us options." Aria suggests gesturing to the closet, "Okay, grey— or blue?" Spencer quizzes holding up some pieces of clothing.
"Definitely neither." Aspen responds looking at the blazers grossed out.
"These are my most collegiate-looking blazers." Spencer says, "You did not just say that." Aria mutters.
"Spencer, you're going to meet this Upenn guy at a party on a Friday night, okay? So I really don't think that the attire is business formal." Aspen states firmly.
"Did I mention how happy I am that you're both coming with me?" Spencer questions, "Always." Aspen smiles.
"You mean you don't want to go alone to some random party with a 22-year-old stranger?" Aria quizzes smiling.
"She is not a stranger. She is both Aspen and Ali's older, gorgeous, very well-connected friend that... somehow we never knew anything about. Aspen, how did you never mention her?" Spencer gasps looking at the blonde girl.
"I did. Just not by name." Aspen shrugs in response.
"Yeah. Ali would have dangled her in front of us like a pair of diamond earrings. Why didn't she?" Aria wonders looking at Aspen who shrugs not having the answer.
"I don't know." Spencer quietly responds looking at a dress in her mirror before turning towards the two girls— who look at the dress in absolute horror.
"Is that your mother's?" Aria exclaims, "No!" Spencer mumbles offended.
Aspen looks at Spencer with a 'are you sure' glance making the brunette sigh in annoyance.
"Maybe. Help! Please." Spencer pleads laying on her bed beside the blonde girl who's looking at her phone seeing a very short text from Jason.
BOWIE MISSES YOU.
SO DO I.
— JASON
"Is that all he sends you?" Spencer curiously asks looking at Aspen who shrugs and nods in response noticing Aria quickly picking out an outfit and throwing it on the bed.
"Perfect. You can wear this." Aria smiles, "Wow." Spencer mumbles impressed with how quick Aria just decided on the outfit.
Said girl lays beside Aspen and Spencer beside the blonde girl in the middle who sighs staring at the ceiling of Spencer's bedroom.
"You and Ezra are gonna be fine. I promise." Spencer says softly, "If you say so." Aria mumbles.
"I'm gonna go get ready." Aspen states smiling at the two shuffling off the bed and into Spencer's bathroom letting Aria and Spencer talk amongst themselves until she returns.
Aspen walks back into Spencer's room hearing the two of them giggling about something.
"You two ready?" Aspen questions receiving nods off both of them, Aspen agreed earlier to drive all three of them towards CeCe's boutique shop.
✹
ASPEN SIGHS and audibly groans seeing the cabin where the party is.
"So they're coming back to a party at Rosewood?" Spencer questions while CeCe parks her car.
"You never know what you're gonna get. People either love you or they don't remember your name," CeCe states getting out of her car letting Aspen out from behind her along with Aria.
"Look at Jason. He won't return my phone calls. And we dated for how long? But then again... that stopped the minute you came into the picture. God Aspy, he couldn't keep his eyes off you." CeCe smirks seeing Aspen shrink at the mention of her boyfriend.
"Jason's just going through a really rough time right now." Spencer explains looking at the look of jealousy shown clearly as day on Aspen's face at the mention of CeCe trying to contact her man.
"Apparently." CeCe mutters, "Hold up. You're trying to get in contact with my boyfriend? Emily mentioned you asked about him and if he was single. Why?" Aspen questions almost in a warning tone seeing Spencer and Aria standing beside her.
"Babe. Chill. I just wanted to catch up. I know you're still getting that dick... good for you." CeCe winks.
Spencer groans in disgust while Aria clears her throat uncomfortably.
"Sorry Spence. Block your ears. I sure am getting that dick alright... and you never got it." Aspen shrugs in a snapping tone walking towards the entrance.
"Name?" a male guard questions, "Aspen Harley-Fields." Aspen responds.
The male nods holding out the stamp machine and stamping her wrist with the familiar stamp— Aspen looks at the girls already looking at her shocked following CeCe into the Kahn party.
"Aspen! I didn't mean to upset you. I'm sorry." CeCe says gently, "I know. Sorry. I just get a little jealous at the mention of him at the moment," Aspen responds embracing CeCe.
"Just remember he is taken though. By me." Aspen warns lowly in the blonde woman's ear making her smirk.
"Jealous party girl Spenny... is back." CeCe taunts seeing Aspen shrug in response.
"Hello everyone!" CeCe greets walking into the cabin while Spencer and Aria stare at Aspen proudly.
"What? Jason and I might not be okay. But he is still my boyfriend." Aspen mutters.
"That was so badass." Spencer chuckles, "I cannot believe this is where the stamp was from." Aria states.
"Yeah. Everybody here is Eric's age. What would Maya be doing with this crowd?" Spencer questions while the three of them walk into the cabin's main living room.
"Yeah. Who was that guy with the stamp at the diner the night that Ali's grave was dug up?" Aria wonders gasping when a drunken blonde bumps into her.
"Watch where you're going, bitch." Aspen snaps looking back at Spencer and Aria talking about the envelope in Spencer's hand and how she should've left it in the car.
"Ladies!" CeCe calls out behind them wrapping her arms around Aspen's shoulders leaning against her.
"Did you find Steven?" Spencer questions, "Hon. You gotta meet the guy before we shove your stuff in his face," CeCe states grabbing the envelope from the brunette.
"Don't worry. I'll get it where it needs to go." CeCe says looking at Spencer's confused face.
"Game room. Follow me." CeCe suggests grabbing Aspen's hand and leading Aria and Spencer to the 'game room'.
Aspen and CeCe walk down the staircase with Spencer and Aria following behind them smirking at the game they know all too well on the sofa's.
"Looks like Eric Kahn's still playing truth or dare." CeCe states looking at Aspen who smirks and nods in agreement.
"Aspen Harley-Fields and CeCe Drake... back from the dead. How the hell are you both?" Eric questions checking Aspen out from head to toe.
"Worse. Now that we're seeing you, Eric. But thanks for asking." CeCe responds playfully noticing Eric's lust filled gaze looking down Aspen's figure.
"That's no way to treat the host. Hmm— but you've brought a virgin sacrifice. So all is forgiven." Eric voices looking behind the two blondes at Spencer and Aria standing extra close to Aspen knowing she gets protective of her friends.
"These are my friends. So play nice or you know I'll mess you up." Aspen states with a smile looking at her ex boyfriend.
"You're mean when you're cute." Eric flirtatiously flirts still feeling something for the blonde young woman.
"Only rule of the game room is you gotta play to stay. Other than that... dad's finest is right here. Help yourself." Eric voices winking at Aspen walking back towards the two ladies he was previously sitting with glaring daggers at Aspen knowing Eric and her history.
Spencer and Aria both continue standing beside Aspen while she stands beside CeCe completely aware of Eric's stare— directly on her ass since the dress she is wearing is tight fitted around all the correct spots.
"Doesn't look like Steven's here yet. Don't worry... he will be." CeCe states looking at Spencer.
"Relax. Take a load off. Can I make you a drink?" CeCe offers, "Uh... no. Thank you." Spencer responds.
"No one's gonna narc on you. I've seen cops do way worse in this room." CeCe states looking at Aspen who nods confirming that is in-fact true.
"Yeah. Still no." Spencer utters, "Hmm. Aspy, what about you?" CeCe smirks looking at the blonde girl.
"One won't hurt." Aspen shrugs letting CeCe make her a drink and also knowing Jason isn't around so she able to drink without feeling uncomfortable.
"Cheers!" Aspen smiles tapping her drink with CeCe's while sipping the tequila drink CeCe made her— remembering her favourite from a couple years back.
Aspen giggles seeing the half naked people on the sofa looking at CeCe.
The two troublemakers look directly at Eric— who's still staring at Aspen with love and lust.
"Oh. Girl in bra, boy in boxers. Did we skip truth and head straight to dare... or?" CeCe curiously quizzes.
"Stephanie was warm. Alex was being Alex." Eric responds standing directly in-front of Aspen smiling at her, "Do it. I don't mind." Aspen shrugs seeing CeCe looking at her.
"Okay. Well... in that case. Aspen and I challenge you to a round of truth." CeCe utters.
"All right... Spen, CeCe, we're playing one-on-one truth rounds. You get caught in a lie. It's sayonara, sweetheart. Oh and Spen... that goes for you too." Eric smirks.
"Oh. This ain't my first rodeo, Eric." Aspen states sitting beside CeCe on the opposite sofa couch smirking at her ex boyfriend.
"It's your last night on earth. Who in this room do you sleep with?" Eric questions looking at CeCe who looks around the room, "Suraci. No one deserves to die a virgin." CeCe says with a smirk.
Aria and Spencer watch as Aspen leans more and more into the game with sexual and normal questions aimed towards Eric already knowing the answers.
"Have you ever been arrested?" Aspen questions smirking like a devil.
"Funny you ask that since you dared me to steal a car last time we played and then CeCe called the cops." Eric responds, "Ah! Yes, we did. Didn't we? Yep." Aspen chuckles.
Spencer looks at Aria shocked not knowing this about Aspen at all only that she use to sleep with Eric before Jason— who she hasn't mentioned yet once.
"Ever make a sex tape?" Eric asks, Aspen giggles looking at the male mockingly looking beside her seeing CeCe looking at her genuinely also wanting to know.
"I have yes." Aspen confirms, "I have one. Did you or do you still have feelings for Aspen?" CeCe questions.
"Spenny!" Spencer screeches tapping her shoulder motioning towards Noel entering the game room with Jenna and Jemma Marshall beside him.
"Oh crap." Aspen says sitting up straighter, "I do still have feelings for Aspen... yes." Eric confirms capturing the blondes attention.
Aspen looks back at Eric shocked oblivious to the look of jealousy and anger on Noel's face seeing Aspen sitting on the couch in the middle of the game with his older brother.
"We're up next! Me and Montgomery!" Noel exclaims ready to join the game after Aspen, CeCe and Eric's round.
Eventually, Aria and Spencer join Aspen and CeCe on the sofa for Aria and Noel's round of truth or truth.
"Go." Eric demands pressing time on the stopwatch, "Where did you meet your current boyfriend?" Noel quizzes looking at Aria.
"At a bar." Aria answers, "Did you ever invite Maya St Germain to any of these parties?" Aria questions.
"Geez. You're morbid. This is a party, Aria. Ask me how many sexual partners I've had. Considering your best friend is one of them." Noel states winking at Aspen who scoffs in response.
"Just answer the question." Spencer orders, "She came to a few. She had an open invite." Noel states.
"You ever have sex with your teacher?" Noel asks leaning forward closer to the girls on the opposite couch.
"No. I never had sex with my teacher." Aria mutters, "Bull." Noel taunts, "It's her turn. Now shut up." Aspen voices glaring at Noel.
"How do you know Maya?" Aria wonders, "Hot new girl and she likes the ladies and she moves into the DiLaurentis house. Everyone knew Maya." Noel responds.
"You ever frame anyone for... say, stealing answer sheets to the mid-terms? Maybe you had access to a certain teacher..." Noel questions adding to his questions.
"That wasn't me. Where were you the night that Alison's grave was dug up?" Aria questions.
"Seriously? You're really asking me that? I-I don't even know what night that was." Noel stutters avoiding eye contact with Aspen since she knows him well enough to know when his lying.
"Friday right before labor day." Spencer utters lowly, "I don't know. I guess I was here." Noel shrugs in response.
"I can vouch for that. He came... then— showed. And they left." Eric states watching the stopwatch, "You know I can see you now." Jenna snarls.
"What kind of threat is that Jenna... you can see now? Cool. We're all aware of your magical healing." Aspen snaps shutting the youngest Marshall brunette up immediately.
"Thanks, Eric." Noel mutters looking at his older brother, "Anytime, bro." Eric taunts smirking since Aspen just stuck up for him in a small way.
"Why don't you tell us all who your boyfriend is and what he did for a living during the first few months of your relationship?" Noel quizzes smugly.
"It's okay... Aria. We already know the answer." Jenna responds while the timer beeps signalling times up.
"Time!" Eric announces loudly, "You are so next." Spencer warns glaring at Jenna with an evil glare.
Aria hurries out of the game room and outside with Spencer following behind her.
Aspen went to follow only to be stopped by Jemma— who wants to have a conversation with her old best friend.
"Hey Aspen." Jemma greets, "Yeah. Hi Jemma." Aspen responds, "I'm really sorry about them. You know I'd never ever hurt you. Ever." Jemma states.
"Yeah. I dunno anymore." Aspen shrugs walking towards the drink table pouring another glass of tequila feeling a presence come up behind her.
"What are you doing here Aspen?" Noel questions softly, "I was invited. But we all know I'm still on the list. Your doing or your brothers?" Aspen questions facing the male who sighs.
"Not mine. Eric's." Noel states, "Thought so. Cause you've been a real douche lately, Noel." Aspen responds.
"I'm sorry." Noel mumbles walking away being waved over to the corner Jenna and Jemma are standing in by his girlfriend.
Aspen huffs leaning against the wall smiling seeing CeCe walking back downstairs.
"Aria left. Spencer's coming back down soon." CeCe explains seeing Aspen nod in understanding.
CeCe suddenly departs noticing a certain someone walking towards them determined to have a private conversation with the stunning blonde girl.
"Hello Eric." Aspen voices with a chuckle, "Wow. You knew it was me?" Eric quizzes with a chuckle.
"Considering I bought you that cologne... yeah." Aspen laughs sipping on her red plastic cup half filled with alcohol, "How have you been?" Eric wonders tilting his head.
"Good. Stressed to the max with designs but good." Aspen explains, "You're still into fashion?" Eric questions smiling at the girl.
"Yeah. Found my forever dream. And I've also been raising Bowie— my puppy. That's not much of a puppy anymore." Aspen says falling back into a normal conversation with the eldest Kahn brother.
"Have you been seeing someone?" Eric suddenly quizzes, "Yeah. I'm seeing someone." Aspen explains.
"Well I hope he treats you well and that someone is incredibly lucky." Eric mumbles.
"Yeah. That someone is Jason... and he treats me perfectly." Aspen voices seeing the shock and hurt flash through Eric's eyes.
"Jason? Jason— DiLaurentis? You're still seeing him?" Eric asks hurt laced in his tone.
"Yeah Eric... Jason." Aspen nods seeing Spencer rushing down the staircase straight towards Jenna and Noel.
"He better treat you like the goddess you're Aspen. You deserve it." Eric states walking off towards the sofa.
The girl questions her relationship with the DiLaurentis male and if they're meant to be since messages have been blunt lately between the both of them.
"I heard you were leaving." Spencer mutters, "You heard wrong." Noel responds smugly while frowning seeing Aspen joining her best friend's side with a taunting smirk on her face.
"Why is your mother defending a murderer?" Jenna questions, "Because she thinks that Garrett's innocent. Maybe Maya's murderer is still at large." Spencer responds flatly.
"You don't think it's because he started dating your sister?" Jenna quizzes.
"I think you're gonna have to wait your turn." Aspen warns leaning forward on the sofa.
"What you told us about Emily. You never mentioned that Noel was with you that night. What else did you lie about?" Spencer quizzes making Jenna look around nervously before leaning forward and clearing her throat.
"You know what mutually assured destruction is, right? You promised me something the day I told you about Emily. Are you going to keep that promise?" Jenna asks.
"Where did you find Emily?" Spencer questions, "It's funny. I'm starting to wonder where she was when you found her. Along with your pals." Jenna smugly responds gulping hearing Aspen deep chuckle.
"Just answer the question." Aspen demands, "We were trying to help your friend, okay? We saw her at some diner, drunk off her ass..." Noel voices wanting to be honest with the girl he's in love with glaring at him from the other sofa.
"Oh. So you found her in a diner? Not in the middle of the road." Spencer hums in realisation.
"Well, the 'drunk off her ass' part is true. You get her that way?" Jenna asks, "No. Did you?" Spencer snaps.
"No." Jenna responds, "So why did you lie?" Aspen wonders, "I lied because I was trying to protect someone. Isn't that why you lied about your parent's lake house?" Jenna taunts shocking Spencer.
"Don't worry. That was rhetorical. This isn't... where is the video?" Jenna questions.
"What video do you mean? There is more than one." Spencer responds folding her arms across her chest.
"You know which one. Where is it?" Jenna asks demanding an answer, "It's safe." Spencer mutters.
"Where?" Jenna exclaims, "I want to know where Ali's body is. And if you can tell me that. You can have all the damn videos you want." Spencer mutters.
"Or for another question. You ready Jenna? How long were you faking being blind when you weren't?" Aspen questions smirking at the anxious brunette.
"Don't worry that was rhetorical." Aspen mocks continuing to smirk at Jenna who gulps seeing all this stunned faces around them.
The stopwatches timer starts beeping signalling times up for the round.
"Oops. Times up." Jenna responds with a smug look on her face.
"Time might be up Jen. But keeping me quiet? That'll be a rough one." Aspen states winking seeing Jenna looking at her shocked.
Before noticing Noel looking at the floor with a small smile on his face proud of her for sticking up for herself.
Spencer and Aspen hang out for the rest of the night noticing CeCe and Eric stumbling out of one of the rooms of the cabin giggling together and fixing one another's clothes.
"Okay. Ew." Aspen groans being dragged over to them by Spencer.
"Spencer, I've got legs. Goddamn!" Aspen exclaims crashing directly into Eric's muscular chest— the male immediately catches her instead of making her fall onto the dirty cup filled ground below them.
"Oops. Sorry Spenny." Spencer winces while Aspen grimaces knowing CeCe and Eric just slept together and now she's drunkly leaned against him.
"I can stand. Let go of me... please." Aspen demands making Eric immediately unlatch his arms from around her looking at her shocked.
"I have a very handsome boyfriend and you just slept with CeCe. So
no touching me." Aspen slurs doing a no motion with her pointer finger.
"Can we please go? I wanna pass the hell out." Aspen groans leaning against Spencer now since Eric excused himself from their conversation once Aspen told him off for touching her for too long.
"Yeah. Come on. Drunk one and two." Spencer chuckles walking out of the party.
"Goodbye. My people!" Aspen exclaims receiving multiple waves and hushed goodbyes from the remaining party goers.
Both her and CeCe are shoved gently into CeCe's vehicle by Spencer who's sober and beginning to drive the three of them back into town.
✹
ASPEN DOESN'T remember any of the drive back to Rosewood except the car lights flashing by them as they drove.
"Spenny. Wake up!" Spencer exclaims shaking the blonde awake, Aspen groans getting out of Spencer's car now— also not remembering being moved from CeCe's to Spencer's at all.
"Spence, am I loveable?" Aspen asks while Spencer helps her up the stairs towards her apartment.
"Of course you're loveable. I love you and so do the other girls. And so does Jason. And by the looks of it tonight.... so do both Kahn brothers." Spencer explains gently.
"Why doesn't the main person I want to love me show me he loves me?" Aspen whimpers leaning against the wall beside her apartment door while Spencer unlocks it and helps her inside.
"He loves and adores you Spenny. He's just away at the moment for some personal time." Spencer voices.
Said girl helps Aspen out of the heels on her feet and making the girl lay in her bed to pass out in due to her intoxicated body.
"Thanks Spence." Aspen whispers while Spencer leaves the apartment and a drunk and sad Aspen inside.
Aspen toss and turns for a while before pulling her phone from the nightstand beside her dialling Jason's number.
After a few rings of the dial tone, Jason's voicemail starts making Aspen release a sob that turns into a whimper.
"Jason... why don't you love me anymore? You're so blunt with me all the time through texts. I miss you and I love you," Aspen rambles through her heartbroken sobs.
"Please. Just come home or at least bring my dog back... if we're done... okay bye." Aspen says ending the voice message.
Eventually dropping her phone on the floor beside her bed sobbing into the pillow Jason always uses when he stays over.
Aspen falls asleep soaking in her tears and the tight dress she wore earlier that night at the Kahn party unaware of the text message left on her phone.
