Chapter 6 - Hell's Angels
Jordyn arrived at school earlier than usual on that next Monday morning, she had special things to prepare for the special day coming up. First, she consulted with her 'sources' and found out where her girls liked to hang out. One spent a lot of time at the very back of the oval, a place where almost no one goes. Another liked to hang out behind the bike racks, where no teacher could find her, which was smart, considering what she liked to do. And the third spent a LOT of time at the oval, where all the girls watch their boyfriends play sport.
All she needed was a fourth member...if only she could find the right person...
Jordyn figured she might find that someone in the library. To enter the school was to enter through the library and one could see everyone who came and went when in the perfect spot. It was perfect to find a fourth member, but Jordyn was always in a weaponry mood in the weeks leading up to the Purge and liked to read up on World War One and Two technology and weapons while she people-watched. Just for fun.
Coincidently, that particular Monday was Catherine's shift in the library, stacking books away for her extra curricular points. Being productive and smart, she spent most of her time in the library either helping put things away, helping other students with their studies or studying herself. Which meant she had the pleasure of seeing exactly who came and went through the library entrance.
Catherine was in the History section, sorting through the basket of 'Balkan War' text books and putting them on the shelf alphabetically, humming her favourite tune when someone brushed past her, heading for the weaponry section of History.
Turning to look at the person, Catherine saw it was a girl, with shaved, dark hair, wearing dark clothing and she could see a neck tattoo peeking just slightly from her jacket collar. Her style was very steam punk and she did not look like a girl to be messed with should you get on her bad side.
Suddenly she turned and the two girls made eye contact for a moment.
Seeing her face, Catherine knew exactly who she was.
Jordyn Pierce.
Her Dad, General Anthony Pierce, was highly respected in the US military and was one of the top representatives of the Presidents' private army.
Catherine didn't know much about Jordyn, but she did know that she knew just about everything about everybody. Jordyn Pierce could be asked by anybody about anything or anyone and she would come up with the most accurate answer.
'Maybe,' she thought, 'just maybe she could help me...'
"Do you know where I can find 'Weaponry in World War One'? They must've moved it again," Jordyn asked, snapping Catherine out of her thoughts.
"Sure, two shelves up from where you're standing, over to the left," she replied in her slight Southern drawl with a bright grin
Jordyn looked up and pin-pointed the book, "Thanks," she said, reaching up and grabbing it.
Before she slipped away and the opportunity was gone, Catherine made a split second decision.
"Hey," she called and Jordyn stopped but didn't turn around, "Are you...um..." Catherine hesitated, she didn't know how to start.
"Yeah?" Jordyn asked with a slight turn of her head in Catherine's direction.
This had never happened to Catherine before, she never hesitated, never stuttered. Perhaps this Jordyn was more intense than she thought.
"Well, are you...uh, Purging this year?"
At this, Jordyn turned halfway around and looked the blonde up and down through narrowed eyes, "Deschain, isn't it? Catherine Deschain?"
Catherine nodded, grinning again, happy that Jordyn knew her.
Jordyn turned all the way around and continued to look Catherine over, coming closer while tapping her book against her thigh.
Tap tap tap
Catherine's hair was a golden blonde bob, neatly parted in the middle. She wore a pink singlet, ripped, dark blue jeans and nude wedges. A small wooden cross hung around her neck on a black string and sat on top of her breast.
"I know you," Jordyn finally said, "You're the girl whose Daddy is in jail aren't you? Seamus Deschain."
Catherine nodded again and Jordyn began to circle her slowly.
Tap tap tap went her book on her thigh.
Catherine found the noise rather amusing and softly giggled at it.
"Hmm, tell me Cathy, what do you do for fun?"
"I practise knife throwing," Catherine said confidently.
Jordyn nodded, "Anything else?"
Tap tap tap
"Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Ballet," she listed off her fingers.
This raised Jordyn's eyebrows, "That's a lot. Impressive."
Catherine giggled, "Thanks. But you haven't answered my question."
"Right. But what's it to you?" Jordyn asked.
Tap tap tap
"I need your help."
This time it was Jordynwho chuckled.
"My help? With what?"
Tap tap tap
"I don't think Daddy is proud of me anymore. I don't know what to do. I think it's because we aren't together and I'm not following his footsteps." Catherine explained.
Tap tap ...
Jordyn's eyebrows furrowed, "What do you mean?"
"My Dad killed a guy and ended up in jail for it. The jail is separating us and I think Daddy wants me to kill someone too so I can be with him again."
"So, you want to kill someone to get into jail with your Dad to make him proud?" Jordyn clarified.
Catherine nodded, grinning brightly again, relieved that the short-haired brunette understood.
"So what do you want my help for?" Jordyn asked her.
"I know you make groups for Purge day every year, Jocelyn. And I want in," Catherine said excitedly, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
Jordyn thought for a moment. Catherine did look the part. She had weapon skills as well as combat which was a plus. She had the desire to kill just for her Dad's praise which showed dedication. Plus it wouldn't hurt to have the smartest girl in school to make the plans and figure out the math and physics of them.
All in all, Catherine Deschain could be an asset.
"Alright. But what's in it for me?" She asked.
Catherine thought for a moment.
Tap tap tap
"I can help you with your History. You seem to be studying World War One," she smiled.
Jordyn shook her head, "I don't need help with school. In my opinion, it's a waste of time, I've already got my plans for the future. But I'll tell you what, you help me in making plans and strategies for Purge day and I'll help you kill some sons of bitches for your Dad. Deal?" Jordyn proposed and Catherine nodded and bounced up and down a couple of times in excitement.
They shook hands on it.
"Alright, come with me," Jordyn said and turned on the spot towards the exit of the library, her history book forgotten on the shelf, having gotten what she really came for.
"Where are we going?" Catherine asked, following her out.
"Well, it can't be just you and me on Purge day, can it?" Jordyn said with a harsh chuckle, "I need more than one person to watch my back."
Catherine giggled with her, ignoring the second comment, "Right. But who else will come with us?"
Jordyn smirked, "I've got a couple of people in mind."
Ten minutes later, Catherine found herself at the oval. This was where all the boys and 'tougher' girls played sports and their girlfriends watched on the sidelines.
Catherine began to think they were recruiting a boy or two, but Jordyn led her past them and down towards the very back of the oval.
"Jordyn, I have to ask, what are we doing back here? No one ever comes here, there's only small animals around this place," Catherine inquired as she followed the General's daughter down further back into the forest that sat there.
"I know, which is why it's the perfect place for our first recruit," Jordyn replied, not looking back at her.
"Can you tell me who it is?" Catherine asked again.
Jordyn sighed, "Do you always ask so many questions?"
"Only when I'm doing something and I don't know why the hell I am," Catherine replied with a giggle.
Jordyn stopped and turned, meeting Catherine, who was smiling sweetly. She had to admit, this girl had spunk.
"Her name is Peyton Thomas," Jordyn began.
Catherine nodded, "I know her."
"She's obsessed with hunting. Ever since she was little, her Dad would take her out. Eventually, she became addicted and started killing animals for fun. Her parents tried to stop her, but she didn't like that. So she killed them. Lost every friend she had because of it," Jordyn informed her.
Catherine was surprised, "Talk about overreacting. She seems so normal though."
Jordyn nodded, "She does. But you can't underestimate anyone. She may have killed her parents but she still talks to them."
"What?"
"She talks to them, and to her, they talk back."
Catherine furrowed her eyebrows but then they suddenly raised as she was hit with the realisation, "She has schizophrenia."
Jordyn nodded, "She takes special tablets to calm the hallucinations down but she doesn't take them very often-"
"So she can talk to her parents," Catherine finished for her.
"Exactly."
"But, won't she slow us down? With her schizophrenia and all?" Catherine asked.
Jordyn shook her head, "She'll be fine as long as we get her to take the tablets."
Catherine nodded, "Alright. Let's go get her then." She grinned and began to walk again, Jordyn on her tail.
They came to a creek soon after and found a girl sitting cross-legged on the bank. The side of her head was shaved and the tips of her long brown hair was dyed red.
"Hey," Jordyn called and the girl turned around sharply.
"Yes?" She asked, she sounded as though she wanted to lash out but kept herself restrained.
Catherine saw she had bright green eyes and a freckled face. She wore an oversized sweater that was green and had a wide, yellow, horizontal stripe across the torso with tights and boots.
"I'm Jordyn, this is Catherine," Jordyn introduced and Catherine waved and grinned at her.
"I'm Peyton," the girl said.
"We know. Hey, the Purge is coming up next week after graduation. You thinking of going?" Jordyn asked casually.
Peyton scoffed, "If you think I'm going to join some little Purge-scout group, you thought wrong. I'm not Purging this year. I have to look after my parents," she turned back around and faced the murky water of the creek.
Jordyn and Catherine shared looks and Jordyn winked.
"That's okay. But, just so you know, if you agreed, you would be able to kill as much as you want during the Purge, but that's okay. You do whatever you want, Paige," Jordyn said, beginning to turn away.
"What's with that?" Peyton turned and said, "You think I...like killing?" She seemed to be hiding it, but failing.
"I know you do. In fact, I know everything about you." Jordyn said and turned back around to her, "I know that you're skilled in hunting. You can kill anything within just thirty seconds. That's talent, Peyton."
"You...you think so?"
"Of course! Look, if you join my group for the Purge, you'll be able to kill as much as you want! I can relate! Killing sure is addicting isn't it?" Jordyn continued.
The corners of Peyton's lips turned up at that.
"So, what do you say now?"
Peyton still looked at the two girls distrustingly, "I say, what's in it for you?"
"Oh, of course. Well, it's really simple, all you need to do, is be the hit-woman. You make fast, quick kills, which could be an asset to the group." Jordyn explained.
"And in return I get to kill however much I want?"
Jordyn nodded.
Peyton thought about it for a minute or two, looking at the two girls in front of her.
Making her decision, she stood up with a flick of her hair and held her hand out for a handshake.
"Deal. I be your hit-woman and I get to kill however much I want during the Purge. Got it?" Peyton said.
Jordyn shook hands with her, "Deal. Got it."
Catherine smiled and held her hand out to Peyton, "Welcome to the club girlfriend! Come on, we got more people to recruit."
Peyton looked confused at Catherine's enthusiasm but took her hand anyway and allowed the excitable blonde to pull her along with them.
As the three of them walked out onto the oval, Peyton turned to Catherine and said, "By the way, call me 'girlfriend' again, and you'll be on my list of motherfuckers I kill on Purge day."
Catherine, to Peyton's surprise, giggled, "Duly noted, girlfriend."
Peyton let that one slide. Why? Because she had to admit, this Catherine girl had guts.
"Yeah, I'm wondering if she's completely sane as well, Thomas," Jordyn muttered to her.
The three girls made it to the oval and began to walk round the side to the back, where the bike racks were...and where the 'bad' kids hung out.
All the rebels, the drunks and smokers hung out in the back of the school, where no teacher bothered to go.
"What're we doing here?" Peyton asked.
"This is where we'll find my third recruit." Jordyn replied and walked up towards a group all dressed in black. Leather jackets, boots, tattoos and piercings were these people's go-to.
"Who is it this time?" Catherine asked and Jordyn stopped and turned around.
"Bianca Singh. You two know her?"
Peyton and Catherine nodded.
"She's a good one. Bianca likes to be seductive to get whatever she wants and it works. With a sweep of her hips, men bow down to her. She also likes to drink but doesn't go overboard, unlike her Uncle. He's an alcoholic and she has to obey his every word. Otherwise it's foster care, orphanage, or the street for her," Jordyn informed.
"That's terrible," Catherine exclaimed.
Jordyn nodded, "It wouldn't be if her Mom had lived."
"What do you mean?" Peyton asked.
"Bianca's Mom died in a Purge." Jordyn replied.
Catherine and Peyton were shocked.
"When?"
"About five years ago. She was heading home from work when the Purge started. She was too late to get home."
"Holy shit," Peyton muttered.
Jordyn turned back around to the group of goths.
"Hey, Bianca Singh?" Jordyn called and the group all turned.
"Who the hell are you? What are you doing here?" A boy with straight jet black hair and a lip ring snapped.
"Is Bianca Singh in there?" Jordyn asked again.
"Who's asking?" A busty, black and blue haired girl stepped forward and asked. She wore black heeled boots, fish net leggings, a black skirt and a black crop-top that showed off her cleavage. The side of her head was shaved as well and her exposed ear had triple piercings on the lobe and cartilage.
"My name's Jordyn. This is Peyton and Catherine. Mind if we talk, Bianca?" Jordyn asked her.
The girl raised a surprised eyebrow, "Okay then," and looked at the people around her, "Be right back."
She walked over to Jordyn, Catherine and Peyton and followed them away from the bike racks a bit, out of earshot from her group.
"So what do you want?" Bianca asked.
"I'm going Purging this year-"
"And you want me to join a little group of yours?" Bianca shot.
Jordyn's eyebrows shot up and Catherine and Peyton tensed, in different ways, Catherine more excitable than Peyton, both thinking that Jordyn would shoot back.
But she didn't.
Instead she smiled, impressed, "Yes, actually."
"Well, I'm not interested," Bianca said and turned to leave.
"You sure?" Jordyn called, making her stop.
"Pretty damn sure," Bianca said, turning halfway.
"Well, just so you know, I'm recruiting a pretty good group here. All with different reasons for joining," Jordyn said.
Bianca turned all the way around. She knew Jordyn Pierce made groups for the Purge then let them go by the end of it. They didn't last very long...which was her style.
So she walked back over to them.
"An outcast and the goody-two-shoes? What would you do with them?" Bianca asked, ignoring the glares she got from the two girls. She couldn't make it easy for them. That wasn't her style.
"Catherine, I'm using for strategy and plans. How to get in and out of places," Jordyn said and Catherine smiled triumphantly.
"Peyton here, she's the 'hit woman'. She gets rid of the unimportant people," she continued and Peyton gave Bianca a smart look.
Bianca hesitated, her choices seemed alright. But...
"And me? If I were to join, why would I?@ She asked.
Jordyn smirked, "Revenge is best served cold, don't you think?"
Bianca looked her right in the eyes and knew what the General's daughter knew.
"I prefer it hot and steamy," she bit back, "what would my role be, if I join?"
"Your part in this group would be manipulation. You can tell what goes through people's heads and can get those reactions easily. You would do nicely if the need arises to interrogate anyone," Jordyn said.
Bianca tilted her head in thought. It would give her something to do on Purge day and she definitely didn't want to heed to her drunk Uncle's every word.
"Alright. I'll do it," she declared and Jordyn smiled.
They shook hands on it.
"Welcome to the group," Catherine said cheerfully.
"What's so good about it?" Bianca asked her.
"What's so good about it is that it's gonna be fun! We're gonna do something great!" Catherine replied and Bianca looked at Peyton and Jordyn in confusion. Her response was shrugs from both.
"Come with me. I need just one more person to complete this group." Jordyn said, beckoning to the growing group of girls.
Bianca, along with Peyton and Catherine, found herself at the oval. A place she never went. A place she despised. All the pretty girls watching their pretty boyfriends playing sports. Disgusting.
Jordyn led the girls to a big tree next to the oval and looked out.
'There is a lot of potential here. Too bad I've already made a choice,' she thought as she scanned the edge. Jordyn didn't look for any boys, they wouldn't obey her. Girls were her target, they were easier to recruit, more useful and accepted her as their leader.
And these girls sitting at the oval were the easiest of them all, but she knew exactly which one she wanted.
"So who is this 'final member'?" Bianca asked her.
"Katrina Krauss." Jordyn replied.
"I know her. I helped her with her English assignment a couple of times," Catherine said excitedly.
"She's got a boyfriend, Justin," Bianca put in.
"You would know that," Peyton said to Bianca, who glared at her.
"And he's not one to mess with," Jordyn said, "Justin abuses her, but she thinks it's normal."
The girls' eyes widened.
"She does everything for him and obeys his every order. She's been with him since they were fourteen. Four years."
"So what makes her so special?" Peyton asked.
"Sometimes when Justin's not looking, she'll sneak out from under his nose to go do something she wants to do. But she always comes back," Jordyn said.
"Oh, I see what you need her for." Catherine, being intelligent, caught on immediately.
Katrina wore a loose white singlet with blue jeans and boots with spiked leather around them. Her hair was long and light blonde with sunglasses situated on top of her head and was sitting on the edge of the oval, quite content with her position, watching her beautiful boyfriend play his favourite sport.
She clapped and cheered when he kicked the ball through the goal.
Suddenly, she felt three shadows come over her and she looked up to see figures but couldn't make them out because of the sun in her eyes so she stood to see them better.
When she did, she immediately knew who they were.
Jordyn Pierce. The girl who knew anything about anyone.
Catherine Deschain. The smartest girl in school.
Peyton Thomas. The 'outcast' who had no friends.
And Bianca Singh. The girl who got whatever she wanted by being seductive.
Katrina had never talked to these girls before...well, except for Catherine.
"Can I help you?" She asked politely, being the kind person she is.
"Actually, I'm here to help you," Jordyn said.
Katrina's eyebrows rose, "Really?"
Joedyn nodded, "I'm going Purging next week, after Graduation and I'm making my group," she gestured to the girls behind her, "And I was wondering, if you'd like to join."
Katrina looked a bit confused, "Why would you want me in your group?"
"Well, your stealthy," Jordyn said and leaned in, "I know you sometimes sneak out when Justin's not looking."
Katrina turned red and her eyes widened, "Don't tell him. Please. No one is supposed to know that!" She begged.
"Oh, I have no intention to tell him. Neither do these girls," Jordyn said to her and Katrina relaxed a bit, "But not only do you sneak out from Justin, but you sneak out to go to Justin. Your parents think they know where you are, but really they have no idea," Jordyn said.
Katrina looked taken aback, "You really do know everything about everyone," she said.
Jordyn smirked, "I know. That's why I've lived through years of Purges."
Katrina, Bianca, Peyton and Catherine nodded slowly. It made sense...if you think about it that way.
"If I joined, what would I do? And what would I get out of it?" Katrina asked.
"Well, with your skills, you would easily get in and out of places we can raid," Jordyn said, "You don't have any killing skills though, which could be a set back."
"No. I don't like to kill. I guess it's normal on the Purge, but I'm not killing anything," Katrina said to her.
Jordyn shrugged, "Okay. I can make that work. It's possible to live through the Purge by not killing anybody. So, let's make a deal, if you use your skills to raid places we find, like shops, houses, apartments, then I will make sure you live through the Purge," she proposed and offered her hand to the blonde.
Katrina thought for a minute then nodded, "I'll do it. I think it's a good idea for me to join...but-"
"Hey!"
She flinched at the harsh call.
"Justin might not let me," she said quietly, "Especially on Purge day, he'll keep a close eye on me so I couldn't sneak out."
"Can I help you?" Justin came up behind Katrina and addressed the four girls much more rudely than Katrina had.
"I was just inviting your girlfriend to join my Purge group," Jordyn said to him, her tone polite but had a slight edge to it, warning him.
He didn't listen.
"Well she ain't going nowhere. She's spending Purge night with me. I don't want Katrina to be out there in all that mess," Justin said, swinging his arm around Katrina's neck and tugging her close to him.
Jordyn looked at Katrina, "She said she wanted to join."
Justin looked at his girlfriend, "You did?" His tone was accusing, on the edge of angry.
Katrina nodded, smiling innocently at him, "Please Justin. I already said I'll do it. Just this once."
"And I said, you ain't going nowhere." Justin's tone became deadlier through each word.
Catherine looked at Jordyn. She didn't like Justin's tone and wanted to get Katrina away from him, but Jordyn didn't move.
What she was doing was giving Justin a look, warning him to shut up, but he didn't see it.
"He's boiling. He'll hit her any moment." Bianca whispered to Jordyn but loud enough so Catherine and Peyton could hear.
She got no reply.
"But babe-"
"But babe!" Justin mocked, "You listen to me, you ain't going nowhere with these bitches. Got it?"
"I want to go with them for Purge day!" Katrina exclaimed, shoving herself out of Justin's hold. She never rose her voice at him. Never. She knew she was going to get punished for it but at that moment, for once, just once, she wanted something for herself without sneaking around for it.
A couple of people had turned towards their direction and were watching the situation unroll before them.
Justin's expression finally became angry, "What did you say?"
Katrina shrunk back, "Please Justin..."
"Never. NEVER. Raise your voice at ME you filthy little BITCH!!" Justin bellowed and his arm raised above his head, ready to come down hard!
Katrina turned her head to the side and closed her eyes, ready for her punishment...but it didn't come.
As Justin's arm came down to hit Katrina, Catherine cried out, Peyton gasped and Bianca covered her mouth with her hands!
But Jordyn's hand shot out and caught Justin's wrist! The impact between her hand and his arm sounded with a SMACK!!
Finally, Justin saw the look on her face, it was no longer warning...
It was deadly.
Katrina opened her eyes and looked up at Jordyn holding Justin's wrist.
"Get the fuck off me!" Justin yelled at Jordyn but she didn't flinch.
He violently tried to wriggle his arm out of her grip but she was not letting go.
"I said, get the fuck o-"
"I know what you said, asshole," Jordyn said, "I'm not deaf."
"Well then do it!" Justin yelled again, still wriggling his arm.
"Katrina, tell me, how do you live with such a pathetic little shit-biscuit like this?" Jordyn asked, turning to look at the blonde girl without even struggling to keep hold of said shit-biscuit.
"Because she loves me. She's obsessed with me, obviously," Justin spat and looked at Katrina, "Tell her. You love me, don't you."
It was a command rather than a question.
"I..." Katrina started.
Immediately, Bianca uncovered her mouth with her hands. Knowing people's mindsets at the drop of a hat, she knew what Katrina would say.
"I...." Katrina hesitated...she thought Justin had done everything for her own good...but in that moment. In that spilt second when Jordyn caught his wrist and asked how she could live with him...everything he did to her, the four years of 'nurturing' and 'care' and 'love' came together into one word:
Abuse.
"No."
"What?"
"No. Justin. I don't love you," Katrina said.
Jordyn smirked, Catherine grinned, Peyton's jaw dropped and Bianca flicked her eyebrows as if to say: 'Knew it.'
"The fuck you don't. You're obsessed with me. You do everything I say," Justin said.
Katrina shook her head, "Not really."
"The fuck do you mean 'not really'?" He pulled at Jordyn's grip again but to no avail.
"Sometimes I sneak around Justin. I sneak things I want when you told me not to. I go to places you told me not to go when you're sleeping or watching TV. I went to Jessica's party last weekend after you told me she was a skank. I went because it was my birthday party she threw for me. You forgot," Katrina informed him.
Jordyn, Catherine, Peyton and Bianca turned and looked at Justin who had a bewildered look etched on his face.
"I'm breaking up with you," Katrina said to him.
His body relaxed at that moment and sank to the ground, making Jordyn finally let go of his arm.
Big mistake.
Justin's face went purple with rage and in a split second he was on his feet and charged at Katrina, ready to tear her apart!
A gasp went through the people watching, including Bianca and Peyton while Jordyn's eyes widened but before Justin could make five steps toward Katrina, Catherine appeared out of nowhere in front of him!
Her knee came up hard into his stomach, making him double over with a "Uggh!" while her elbow came down onto his shoulder blades, forcing his face into her thigh.
Justin fell to the ground with a breathy, winded groan. His hand was covering his face which was leaking red.
Catherine turned around and spread her arms, a smile on her face.
"Welcome to the group Katrina!" She exclaimed.
Katrina couldn't help but smile back.
"Come on. Let's go somewhere more secluded. I don't need these people watching," Jordyn said and walked through the group away from the oval.
She lead the four girls back to the library and down aisle after aisle, History, Science, English, Languages, down to the very back of the library where she leaned on the bookshelf, arms crossed.
"So, what do we do first?" Peyton asked Jordyn after she situated herself in the middle of the aisle, her arms crossed like Jordyn.
Bianca leaned on the opposite shelf to Jocelyn and propped her elbows on top of the books. Katrina stood with her hands clasped behind her back while Catherine sat herself cross-legged on the carpeted floor.
"Well," Jordyn began, "the Purge isn't until next week, after Graduation. So, Catherine, you'll have plenty of time to make plans and come up with some strategies that could be useful, got it?"
Catherine nodded.
"Bianca, you know what goes on in people's heads. Find out who might go for a group like us."
"Like Justin?" Katrina asked.
"Well, he might be too pussy. But if he does, it's five against one," Bianca replied.
"Peyton, you can consult with Bianca on who you want to kill first. It should be fun for you." Jordyn said and Peyton smiled.
"And Katrina, you should consult with Catherine where you think would be some good places to raid to get supplies or something if we need them," Jordyn finished and Katrina smiled softly at Catherine who grinned back.
"What are you gonna do?" Bianca asked.
"I'm gonna create a list of weapons we need." Jordyn replied, "We also have a base just in case anything goes wrong."
"Where?" Catherine asked, "Your house?"
"No, I've got my own base. My house is my Dad's base but is my backup," Jordyn explained.
"Damn. You are made of military aren't you?" Peyton commented and Jordyn chuckled.
"Everyone in my family has been in the Military. It's our passion, weaponry, combat, troops. That's why I make a group every year," she replied.
"You know, that makes a lot of sense," Catherine added.
Suddenly Katrina thought of something, "Should we name ourselves?"
Everyone looked at her.
"Why?" Peyton asked.
"I don't know. Didn't you do that with your other groups, Jordyn?" Katrina said.
Jordyn shook her head, "What would a name do?"
"Make us more...known? Let everyone know who we are and whether to fear us or not?" Katrina replied, asking instead of stating her reasons since, due to obvious set-backs, she was not the most confident person.
"That's actually a really good idea!" Catherine exclaimed, standing up, "If we pick the right name, we could scare people whenever they hear it."
Jordyn's eyebrow rose.
"You know what, I agree. It would give an edge to us if we have a name. But it can't be anything stupid. It's got to be good," Peyton added.
They all turned to Jordyn, who hesitated, thinking about it.
"...Alright. But make it good," she said and Katrina and Catherine smiled and grinned in excitement.
"What's a good group name...?" Peyton muttered, twirling her long brown-red hair around her finger.
"Something edgy," Catherine said.
"Creative." Katrina said.
"Got to be something that gives people chills and has meaning." Jordyn said.
"How about 'Hell's Angels'?"
They all turned to Bianca who had said the words.
"Hell's what?" Jordyn asked.
"'Hell's Angels'." Bianca repeated.
"I love it." Catherine said with her grin.
"That's good." Peyton said.
"It's great!" Katrina added.
"'Hell's...Angels...'" Jordyn said it slowly, trying it out on her tongue, "I like it." She said with a smirk.
"From now until the final minute of the Purge, we will be called 'Hell's Angels'."
