The Hunt Came Knocking at My Door

After returning to the hotel, Zen was still asleep so he didn't noticed that I left. I laid on my side as I watched his chest slowly move up and down. I smiled and laid down, soon after I drifted into a deep sleep. I was awaken by the smell of smoke, I quickly sat up and looked around. The whole room was getting filled with smoke, I woke Zen who somehow didn't smell the smoke. We grabbed our bags and moved to the window. We were a few stories up but the roof top across from us was only two stories lower, we would have to jump.

"We have to jump Zen. On three." I told him, he nodded and got ready. "One....Two....Three!" I shouted, we ran to the window and jumped out.

Time seemed to slow down until we hit the rooftop. We rolled and landed safely, Zen was fine and so was I. I looked back at the building an knew that someone had heard my talk with Michael, they wanted me dead. I didn't say a word to Zen but he seemed to understand everything that was happening. We stood up and walked off the roof, when we hit ground the sound of movement reached our ears. I looked around to find no one in sight but I could sense that they were there. I tapped Zen's hand three times to tell him to start running in the direction of voices. In a flash the enemy came out just as Zen dashed away from me. In that moment I reached in my jacket and pulled out my guns. The next few seconds would be sounded by gun shots. There had to be at least thirty of them but no matter the number of bullets the received they kept getting back up. I was getting pissed and decided to give them a different parting gift. Released my guns, letting them fall as I reached once more in my jacket. Pulling out a short silver stick, I held it in my hands and when they came rushing to me again I unlatched my deadly weapon. In a flash of sliver light ten of the vampires were turned to dust and the others looked at me in fear. The weapon I held in my hands was a long silver scythe with a small spear on one end and a large curved blade on the other. They back away from me but I wasn't in the mood to let them get away. I dashed towards them and started cutting, like mowing the lawn. When I was done, dust was slighting floating in the air, I turned around and walked in the direction that Zen ran off in. I found him slightly sitting in the alleyway waiting for me, he sensed me and turned around with a smile on his face.

"Who were they?" He asked me but I had no answer that would satisfy him. "Does this mean that if we go back to the others then they'll be in danger?" He asked me, I looked down and put my scythe away.

"Likely but I have to tell my uncle about this. Zen you go to the station and wait for me, I don't want uncle getting any ideas." I told him, he nodded and grabbed his bag.

"Be careful Eva. I don't want to loss you." He said before walking away going towards the station. I signed and nodded my head then walked in the opposite direction. I walked to the Vatican to see my dear Uncle Anderson. When I arrived he was outside waiting for me, I walked closer and saw he held my black rosary in his hand.

"Eva please wear this from now on. You are the last of your kind so this will symbolize who and what you truly are." He said placing the rosary around my neck.

"That's twice tonight." I whispered, uncle didn't asked me why I said that. "There was a vampire attack on me not long ago, tell your commanders and let them know. The vampires are starting to move." I said to him before leaving. I could feel him smile then leave. I walked back to the train station to find Zen waiting with our tickets. As I got closer his eyes looked at my rosary.

"Never knew you wear stuff like that." He said grabbing his bags.

"Uncle said I should. Let's get back to the others before they kill one another." I said and boarded the train. The ride was smooth and nothing happened, Zen fall asleep on my shoulder as I started awake and looked out the window. "Two times tonight. They are trying to tell me something." I said to myself, Zen didn't heard me thank god for that. I started awake for the rest of the ride until we returned to London. We got off the train and made our way to Hellsing, everyone is going to want the news. Zen stayed quiet all the way there, he was thinking about something that could be seen clearly. I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him closer to me. "I'll never leave you Zen, you are my child forever." I told him, I can't read minds but I can tell what your thinking. He was afraid of losing me, to death or just go missing. Zen was so afraid of losing me in anyway.

We reached the building and as soon as we opened the doors, a large group of people knocked us down. They were so happy to see us, some even started crying tears of joy. Zen and I started laughing, now they thought that we had gone crazy. Soon after Walter lead us to a room where Sir Antanga was waiting for us.
