Death Can Be So Much Sweeter Then Life

As I was sitting there, the nightmares came back and they were worse then before. Everything that happened to my mother, the villagers and everything else I killed. The rampages I went on without being conginious, so much blood. That's when it happened, a piece of memory unleashed itself on me.

~Younger Eva around seven in a frozen state of life~

Running with the dirt under my feet, feeling the cool earth and hearing the nightly creatures calling to one another. My breath could be seen as I kept going, then I felt it coming so I leapt into the air. Jumping over a large hole, as I did something hit me. I gasped and hit the ground rolling on the dirt. I gathered myself and crawled over to the hole, looking over I see it or him. It was a young boy around the same age as I. I watched him for a few seconds then slowly started climbing down, the vines were thick and tightly attached to the rock wall. I descended, once I landed on the ground I slowly crawled over to him. He wasn't moving so I thought it would be safe, I reached out for him and touched his hair. He moved, I flinched running away and hiding under some vines. He sat up, rubbing his head and he started to look around. He eyes looked at me, he slowly started to come over to me. I tried to move away from him but the wall left me without opitions. He stopped when seeing me trying to leave. He sat down in front of me and just looked at me, his eyes were quiet and calm. He reached out his hand, I looked at it and slowly reached for it. He helped me out from the vines, we stood up and looked at each other. He wasn't human, that I could smell. He looked at me, he must be thinking the same. He didn't say a word besides asking me a question.

"How do we get out of here?" He asked me, I looked up. He must have fallen down here and couldn't get out. I took his hand and started to climb, he followed close behind me. We made it out and found that it was starting to get brighter. The sun was rising and I needed to get home.

"I have to leave now. Please take care." I told him and started to run back home. He didn't say a word, I made it home to find my mother and Uncle Anderson at the front door.

"Rose!" My mother shouted, running over to me hugging me.

"Where were you? You scared us both." Uncle said.

"I fell down a hole and it took me a while to get out. I'm sorry for worrying you both." I said, mother was happy to have me back. Then she smelled me.

"Honey why do you smell like that?" She asked me, I shrugged my shoulder in confusion. Like I didn't know what she meant, she shrugged it off and took me inside. Uncle stood outside looking to the forest I had left, he saw something and felt eyes. He felt something tug on his shirt and I pulled him inside, looking back to find the boy watching me and the house.

That night after dinner Uncle had to talk to mother, I got ready for bed. When I was done I wanted for mother to come in and kiss me good night, when she did something seemed to be on her mind. She didn't say anything nor did I ask, she sat on my bed and kissed my head. She wished me a good night and left my room. I jumped out of bed to watch Uncle leave, he was gone. I slowly left my room and heard my mother crying, she seemed very sad. I went back in my room knowing that being up and when I turned back to find the boy standing in front of my window. He didn't say a word but come over to me, he leaned over and listened to my mother. I was waiting for him to do something, he leaned down closer to my ear and spoke.

"Death can be so much sweeter then life." He whispered then vanished, he was gone and his words were echoing in my mind. Why would he say that?

My eyes slowly opened as I found myself laying on a bed, looking up at a fan slowly turning. A smell that appeared familiar was in the room, I looked over and saw someone I hadn't seen in a long time. He sat in a chair reading a book, he felt my eyes on him for he turned and faced me.

"Good morning, you seemed to be having a intersting dream." He said placing his book down and coming over to me. He sat down next to me, noticing that my wrists were tied down. He slowly started to untie them and began stroking my wrists. "It pains me to see you in sorrow. Please tell me what hurts you and I'll get rid of it." He said leaning down coming closer to my face. "If someone hurts you, let me kill them." He said, I slowly reached my arm towards his face.

"It's you." I said looking into his eyes, those beautiful crystal blue eyes.

"Of course my flower. It will always be me, call for me if you need my help and I shall come running." He said taking my hand, kissing it. I smiled feeling happiness, it was like all my pains were vanishing. He continued to kiss me wrists, taking away the pain I felt from them. I smiled kindly from his movements. It was like a dream that over powered the nightmare, I was at peace. The father of my child was here with me, taking away my pain. I was so happy. Until a bolt of electricity was sent through my body.
