*Jackie's POV*

"Jace I hope you were acting at lunch today. Cause that was pretty convincing."

"Course I was acting. I can't like her, she's a Hell Hunter. I'm going to make her fall for me then take her and her family out."

"Alright. I told her that you like her and a bunch of other crap. I think she fell for it. I wish I didn't have to do this, she's seems nice."

He groans in frustration. "Not this again. You need to stop being so attached to her. She's no good for us, you know that." I nod in agreement. I still don't want to do this, but I have no choice.

We walk into the house and go up to our rooms. I sit on my bed and take out my science journal and tried to focus on homework, but my mind kept wandering to Lacey.

I've known her for less than a day and we're already best friends. I can't believe I have to kill her. Maybe I can talk to her and Jace and convince them that we're on the same side.

I hear a knock on the door and sit up on my bed. "Who is it?"

"Dude, it's Jace. Can I come in?" I sigh.

"Yeah, I guess so." He opens the door and sits next to me. "So what's up, bro?"

"Just wondering if you're okay. You don't seem like your self."

I sigh and look at him. "Jj I don't want to hurt Lacey or her family. We kill the threats that they don't hear about. We help them. We are on the same side. Everyone just needs to realize that."

"They kill our kind-" I cut him off.

"Yes they kill our kind, but so de we. Hell Hunters kill the bad ones, the ones who want to harm people. Well so do we, we help each other. I know you've hated the Hell Hunters since mom died, but not all of them are like that." I plead with him. He looks at me and shakes his head. He gets up and leaves me alone.

I get up and grab my phone from my dresser. I send a quick text to Lacey.

Hey Lace, I was wondering if I could meet your sister. You said she's really cool and I wanted to meet her.

Lace
Yeah sure. She wants to go to the park, she'll meet you there.

Kay, see you tomorrow

Now I have to talk to Lacey's sister about this.
