I walk into school on Monday morning and run to my locker, knowing everyone will be there. I only see Jace and I rocket myself at him, squealing in his ear and hugging him tightly.

"Whoa babe what's going on?" He asks me.

"I met an aunt I never knew I had and I got my parents to agree on whatever we were planning on doing with the species- wait did you call me babe?" I say really fast.

"Maybe." He says embarrassed. "But that's great. How come you never knew about this aunt?"

"Apparently a long time ago she was bitten by a werewolf. My dads parents decided to let her live, but she had to leave them. We found her yesterday while we were fighting rogues."

"That's so cool. Where is she going to stay?"

"Well I was hoping your pack could take her in. And I want to come clean to our families about our plan and ya know... whatever we are." I say gesturing between us.

"What do you mean 'whatever we are?'" Jace asks.

"Well I mean we're mates but we're not exactly... together." I say feeling awkward.

"Do you want us to be together?" He asks stepping forward slightly.

"Maybe." I mumble.

"Well maybe we can do something about that." He puts his hands on my waist and pulls me into his chest. "Would you, Lacey Bentley, do me the honor of being my girlfriend and future luna to the Moon Shadow pack?"

"Of course I will Jace Fairway." I kiss him lightly on the lips.

"So after school we get our families together at the pack house and sort this all out?" Jace asks after we pull away.

"Definitely. Now let's get to class, we're already late." He laughs and we go our separate ways to our classrooms.
