Chapter 16
Jack's POV
Lunchtime rolls around and I quickly spot Damon at a table in the back, alone. I walk up to the table and sit in front of him. He looks up and smiles at me.
"Look I'm really sorry I said all that to you earlier. I'm just very protective over the ones I love and I thought you would reject me anyways. Can you forgive me?" I ask quietly.
"Of course I can forgive you. If anything I should be apologizing to you. I should've known he was your brother. I always see you two walking around together and I guess I assumed the worst." He smiled sheepishly and I smiled back.
"It's fine. Did you actually notice me?" I ask.
He nods and reaches for my hand. "Of course I did. I've always had an interest in you. You were always special in my eyes."
"That was pretty cheesy. But also cute." He chuckles and shakes his head.
"So... could I... maybe... take you out tonight? Like on a date?" He asks nervously.
"I'd love that. Pick me up at 7." I kiss his cheek and walk over to my table, the smile never leaving my face.
"Something good happened. " Aria states.
"What makes you say that?" I ask innocently.
"You're smiling like an idiot." Cam says. I glare at her and she raises her hands in mock surrender.
"Also Damon is fist pumping like a lunatic." Jace says. I turn and look at Damon, who is indeed fist pumping like a lunatic. I laugh as he catches my gaze and quickly looms down, blushing.
"Well this should be an interesting date." I say taking a bite of my pizza.
