In present day, 2018, I'm still living with my aunt. I'm also in the 8th grade. A few months ago, maybe in February, I found out my mom was out of jail. When my aunt told me she was gonna come and live with my grandma, which lives across the street, I literally had a mental breakdown on the spot. I was really mad that she was coming back, I know that you should love your mom and all that, but me? Uh, no. Anyways, my aunt went to get my mom and when they got home, my mom started to tear up. She ran up to hug me and when she wrapped her arms around, me I legit said, "Bitch get off me." She looked at me funny and said, "What?" 

  That night, when I went to practice, my grandma thought she would check my mom's purse. She went through her dresser drawers and found a bong. If you don't know what a bong is, it's something drug addicts smoke out of. I really don't know how to explain it. I don't do drugs. Anyways, after practice, my aunt wanted to take us to this Chinese restaurant. I knew something was up when she wanted to go out. We never go out. So we go inside, and order our food. After we ate, she told me she had to tell me something. She said, "Gramma went through your mom's purse and found more drugs. "Oh, that's not surprising," I said. It kinda hurt when she told me that because I want my mom off of drugs for good. When we got home my mom was in tears because my grandma was gonna kick her out. I was really proud of her. Anyways, my cousin Jerrod came and had a little "talk" with her, by this I mean yell. I was obviously eavesdropping because, come on, who wouldn't? Jerrod yelled at her because he didn't want my grandma exposed to these drugs. When my mom had had enough, she said it was her friends. Now, I was still listening at the window. The curtains were drawn though. When I heard her say that I yelled, "Now you know that's a damn lie!" I think they heard me though. The door flew open, and I ran down the street so they wouldn't see me. I tripped over my cat. My cat hates me. I scraped my elbow and my knees. Since I was on the sidewalk, my knees were looking ashy. I finally made it in my house. That was close.
