Chapter 6
The next day, classes started their first lessons of the school year. In the Hero Course at U.A, all the classes before lunch were the core subjects that every school taught— Math, English Language, Science, and History. Though it was the classes after lunch that everyone was excited for. Heroics.
After everyone got back from lunch, the room was filled with chatter, until the bell rang and Iida asked for everyone to get into their seats.
I wonder who'll be teaching this class. Emiri wondered, her head snapping towards the doorway to see a very familiar and famous pro hero leaning into the classroom.
"I am here! Coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might exclaimed, flashing his signature grin towards the classroom of students.
"Woah! I can't believe it's All Might!"
"So he really is a teacher! This year is going to be totally awesome!"
Chatter made its way around the classroom, though it was short lived to to the fact that All Might started talking.
"Welcome to the most important class at UA High!" He exclaimed, "Think of it as Hero-ing 101! Here you will learn the basics of being a Pro and what it means to fight in the name of good!" He struck a pose his back facing the class, "Let's get to it!" He turned around and showed the class a card that read Battle on it. "Pull no punches!"
"Fight training!" Bakugou exclaimed from the other side of the classroom.
"W-We're going to be frightening e-each other?" Emiri asked, a small look of horror on her face.
"But one of the keys of being a hero is looking good!" He pointed towards the wall, and compartments with cases popped out, each of the cases numbered."These were designed for you based on you quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started.
"Our costumes!" Emiri exclaimed excitement gleaming in her eyes as she looked towards the cases.
"Get yourselves suited up, and then meet me in training ground Beta!"
"Yes sir!" The class said before all of them got up and walked to the cases that were on the wall, each of them grabbing the one with their student numbers on them and then all walking towards the changing rooms.
Emiri opened her case and lifted her costume out, looking at it with wide eyes. It was perfect.
Her costume was a black sleeveless dress, looking more like something that you would wear to a formal party than to do hero work in. There were white frills the lined the bottom and top of the dress, as well as ruffles in the skirt just below a ribbon that held a blue jewel in the center of it. On her feet were ballet-style shoes that had bits of her hair sewn into them so they would change when she activates her quirk. Lastly there was a visor that went over her eyes, some images appearing in front of her eyes when she hooked a small wire up to an earpiece that was in a small compartment.
She had requested specifically for glasses that could access the basics of the hero database. That allowed her to be able to look at a hero or villain and— if their information was in the database— could get analytics on them. Name, quirk, and possible weaknesses, and the earpiece attached didn't just let her communicate with others, by pressing a button on the side she was able to add in analytical information on her own— though it's not shared with the hero database, she was only allowed to view that.
"Wow! You look so cute, Emiri!" Someone exclaimed, and Emiri turned around to see a grinning pinkette— Mina— looking at her.
"Oh, t-thank you. Your costume suits you really well."
Mina twirled with a grin on her face. "Thanks! It's cool isn't it?"
Emiri nodded. "We should probably head out, b-best not to keep the class waiting."
"Oh! Right!" Mina exclaimed, looping her arm around Emiri's. "Let's go then!"

Once the class gathered in Training Ground Beta, everyone quieted down as All Might looked over them and started speaking. "Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training!"
Next to Emiri, someone in a suit of armor raised their hand. "Sir, this is the fake city from the entrance exam. Does that mean we'll be conducting urban battles again?"
So it's Iida in there. I guess that makes sense considering the hero costumes his family has. Emiri thought before turning her attention back to All Might.
"Not quite!" All Might exclaimed, giving the class a peace sign. "I'm going to move you two steps ahead! Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside, however, statically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evil doers take place indoors. Think about it, back room deals, home invasions, secret underground layers. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows, for this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys, and bad guys and fight two on two indoor battles."
"Isn't this a little advanced?" A frog-like girl, Tsuyu, asked.
"The best training is what you get on the battlefield!" All Might answered. "But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time you're dealing with actual people now."
"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?" Yaoyorozu asked.
"How much can we hurt the other team?" That was Bakugo.
"Do we have to worry about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" -Uraraka
"Will you be splitting us up based on chance or comparative skill?" -Iida
"Isn't this cape fabulous?" -Aoyama
Emiri looked from her classmates to All Might, smiling slightly in amusement at the look he had on his face.
"I wasn't finished talking." He said through gritted teeth, then he took out some paper, and unfolded them.
Is that a script? Emiri asked herself.
"Listen up! The situation is this: the villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes must try to foil their plans. To do that the good guys wither have to catch the evil doers or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys succeed if they protect their payload or capture the heroes. Time's limited!" All Might exclaimed, holding up a box, "And we'll choose teams by drawing lots!"
Soon everyone began drawing lots, when it was Emiri's turn, she reached her hand into the box and looked at the card he pulled out. 'Team F'. She looked towards the other kid who had pulled out the paper of the same team.
"You're Koda, r-right?" Emiri asked, tilting her head slightly.
A nervous expression crossed the boy's face as he nodded, adjusting his mask.
Emiri smiled, "Well that's good! I was worried that I had gone to the wrong person!" She flashed him a wide smile, "Let's make the best out o this exercise, okay?"
Koda nodded, the corners of his mouth twitching upwards.
"I declare the first teams to fight will be..." All Might announced— it seemed as if everyone had drawn lots from the box. He reached in rummaged through two boxes, one marked 'Villain' and the other 'Hero'. After a second or two, he pulled out one piece of paper from each box. "These guys!"
Team A was pulled from the 'Hero' box, and team D was pulled from the 'Villain box.'.
"Team A will be the heroes! Team D will be the villains! Everyone else can head to the monitory room to watch."
"Yes sir." The students said, and everyone except for Izuku, Uraraka, Bakugou, and Iida followed him.
As she walked past Iida, she gave him a thumbs up, "You've got this!" She encouraged.
Iida nodded, "Thank you, Koyama. I will not disappoint."
Emiri nodded before glancing towards Midoriya, seeing that the freckled boy was looking towards Bakugo with a worried expression on his face. As she turned to follow her classmates to the monitory room, she hoped the two of them didn't let their emotions control their actions in their battle.
