Chapter 10

A few days had passed since the security breach and Emiri found herself sitting in the classroom, staring up at Aizawa. The day had passed quickly and it was soon heroics class, and all of the students were eager to know what was going to happen.

"Today's training will be a little different, you'll have three instructors, me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you."

Is that because of the break in? They must be beefing up security. Emiri thought.

"Sir!" Sero exclaimed, "What kind of training is this?"

Aizawa held out a card, "Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that."

"Rescue? My quirk s not really suited for that." Emiri muttered worriedly as the whole class excitedly chatted with each other.

"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Aizawa said, getting the attention of the whole class again. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes, but keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet and they might limit your abilities." He pressed a button on a remote, and the cases that held the costumes came out of the wall. "This special training is at an off campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready."

Emiri got up from her desk and followed as all the other students grabbed their hero costumes and then followed everyone else to the changing rooms. After everyone changed, they all started to wait for the bus. As she looked around at her classmates, she noticed that Midoriya was the only student who wasn't in his hero costume.

"Midoriya?" Emiri said causing the boy . "Why are you wearing you PE clothes, didn't y-you want to wear your c-costume?"

"You saw it after the combat training, it was kinda trashed. I'm still waiting on the support company to fix it up." He explained.

"O-oh, that explains it." Emiri said, before looking and seeing Iida calling the attention of the class, apparently it was time fo them to all get on and head to the building they were having class.

"Gather around class 1A!" Iida exclaimed, "Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently!"

Everyone just made their way into the bus, to Iida's dismay, the layout of the seats did not work out well with his seating plans so everyone ended up just sitting wherever they saw fit. Emiri got a seat right next to Midoriya, facing the distraught Iida who was holding his head in his hands.

"This bus's open layout ruined my boarding strategy." He muttered.

"Iida, you really need to chill." Ashido stated.

"If we're pointing out the obvious, there's something I want to say." Asui started, then she looked over towards Izuku. "About you actually."

"M-Me? What is it Asui?" Midoriya asked, seeming to be surprised.

"I told you to call me Tsu. Anyways, that power of yours, isn't it a lot like All Might's?"

"T-thinking about it, you're right." Emiri stated "Y-You even call out the same m-moves."

"W-What really? You think so huh?" Midoriya said. "I never really thought about that, I guess It's kind of similar." He trailed off his voice turning into mutters.

"Wait, hold on, Asui, you're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself. That makes a huge difference." Kirishima stated. "Still, I think it must be cool to have a simple augmenting type of quirk. You can do a lot of flashy stuff with it." He held out his hand and activated his quirk, causing it to get all Rocky and rough. "My hardening quirk is super strong against bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."

"Woah, no way, I think it's really awesome looking." Midoriya said. "You're defiantly pro material with a quirk like that."

"You really think so? Seem like it would be easier to become a popular hero if I had something flashier."

Emiri puffed up her cheeks, "It shouldn't matter how flashy your quirk is." She said, getting the attention of her classmates, "What should matter is how you use it."

"Well, of course being showy isn't the main thing, but having a super flashy quirk also helps you stand out." Kirishima said.

"But why should what power someone has determine their popularity?" Emiri asked. "It just seems-"

"My navel laser's got the perfect combination of finach and strength." Aoyama interrupted as he sparkled with pride.

"But it's way lame if it gives you a stomach ache, sweetie." Ashido said.

"Well, if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's Todoriki and Bakugo." Kirishima stated.

"True, but Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never get popular." Asui stated, making Emiri looked towards Bakugo with wide eyes as he exploded- literally— explosions were coming out of his hands.

"You see." She said, pointing to him.

"P-please calm down, B-Bakugo." Emiri said, raising her hands in front of her.

"You know, we basically just met you, so it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Kaminari said with an amused expression.

"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you losers!"

"Hey, hey." Aizawa interrupted. "We're here, stop messing around."

"Yes sir." Everyone said as they all got up and filed out of the bus, looking at the building that was standing tall in front of them.

"Hello everyone!" A person in an astronaut suit exclaimed. "I've been waiting for you!"

Emiri recognized them as the space hero Thirteen. A Pro that mainly works on rescuing people. Their quirk was called Black Hole. They can create a vortex and suck up anything and everything and turn it into dust. Their quirk was very helpful, yet very dangerous at the same time.

"I can't wait to show you what's inside!"

'This is gonna be awesome!" The class exclaimed as they followed Thirteen into the training center.

Inside the building, Emiri couldn't help but compare what she was seeing to an amusement park. To her left there were buildings laying in wreckage, a mountain that looked to of had a landslide, and another mountain that had rugged terrain. To her right there was a lake with a boat and a water slide, and two different buildings, in with blue-gray designs and the other with red designs.

"A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a wind storm, ect.!" Thirteen exclaimed, listing off some of the disaster areas. "I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters! I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint! But you can call it, USJ!"

Just like Universal Studios Japan. Emiri thought, and by the looks on the rest of the classes faces they were thinking the same thing.

"Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already?" Aizawa asked, walking up to beside Thirteen. "Let me guess, he booked an interview instead."

Thirteen whispered something to Aizawa, Emiri caught a few words, something about time- and they held up three fingers.

"That man is the height of irresponsibility." He muttered, just loud enough for Emiri to hear."Clocks ticking, we should get started." He said as he turned and addressed the class.

"Excellent!" Thirteen exlcaimed, "Before we being, let me just say one thing, maybe two things, possible three, four, five..."

"We get it." The class said, interrupting them.

"Listen carefully, I'm sure that you're aware I have a powerful quirk. It's called black hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust. Though my quirk could very easily be used to kill. Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous."

Emiri nodded. She could literally turn her arms and legs into weapons. If that didn't scream dangerous she didn't know what did.

"As you know in out superhuman society, quirks are certified and strictly regulated. so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you loose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous, like rescue someone. Thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests, you have a solid idea of your quirks potential. And from All Might's Combat training, you likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class. Today your going to learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack anyone, or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others." Thirteen bowed, "That's all I have to say, thank you for listening."

Looking towards the fountain, a frown made it's way to Emiri's face. For some reason she knew that something was going to happen soon.

"Right, now that that's over." Aizawa said, pulling a Emiri out of her thoughts, He pointed to the main area, and suddenly the lights sparked and flickered, getting everyone's attention. Everyone watched as the fountain in the middle of the center fluctuated before a black portal opened in front of it, people stepping out into the USJ.

I knew something would happen. Emiri thought as she stared at the mist and the man with hands covering his body.

"Stay together and don't move!" He Aizawa commanded, his usual tired persona changing in an instant. "Thirteen, protect the students!"

A real villain attack. Emiri thought as she looked at her classmates.

"Woah, what is that thing?" Kirishima asked as he looked at the dark portal in front of the fountain. It had grown to an unbelievable size, and endless amounts of people were stepping out of it. "Wait, it training starting already?" Kirishima asked, "I thought we were rescuing people, not fighting them."

Some of the students tried to walk forwards, but Aizawa outstretched his arm, stopping them from moving forwards. "Stay back! This is real, those are villains." He stated, causing the class to gasp, in shock and in fear.

"Real..." Emiri said in a whisper. She stood still, staring down at the villains as they got closer to the stairs.

A voice sounded and Emiri looked towards where it originated from, the misty portal. "The only real heroes I see here are Thirteen and Eraserhead. Perplexing. According to the schedule we retrieved from UA, All Might should be here as well." The large void had shrunken, and formed two golden eyes.

"So you scumbags used the press as a cover and sneaked onto campus." Aizawa accused angrily.

"Where is he? We went through the trouble of bringing so many friends who are eager to meet him. They want All Might, the Great symbol of peace." The man with the he hand on his face said, opening his arms and symboling towards all the villains. "I can't believe he's not here. Maybe if I kill a few kids, he'll come out to play."

"What? Real villains? No way." Kirishima stated in shock. "How could so many of them get into a UA facility this secure?"

"Yeah." Momo agreed. "Thirteen, why aren't the alarms going off?"

"Good question, I'm not sure." Thirteen replied.

"Is the entire campus under attack?" Todoroki asked. "Or is this their only target? Any way, if the alarm sensors aren't being triggered, then one of these villains must have a quirk that's masking their presence here. They carefully chose this isolated facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught. They're fools for trespassing here. But they've thought this out.whatever their plan, they must have a concrete objective in mind. But what is it?"

"Isn't it obvious? They want All Might." Emiri said. "T-they most likely want to kill him."

"Thirteen, get them out of here." Aizawa demanded, walking towards the villains. "And alert the main campus. Actually, if they've got the ability to block the sensors, then they might be jamming regular communications too. Kaminari, try using your quirk to contact the school."

"Yes sir." Kaminari said, placing his hand on the transmitter he had over his ear before he shook his head, "I can't get through."

"What are you going to do?" Midoriya asked, "You can't fight them on your own there's too many of them. Even if you can nullify their quirks, your fighting style's not suited for this. Your power works best in stealth and one on one fights. It's not going to help with a group."

"You can't be a pro if you only have one trick." Aizawa said, looking back at Izuku, then he started to walk towards the villains. "I'll leave it to you thirteen." With that, he jumped down the stairs and into fight.

Down below, it seemed as if three of the villains were trying to attack him, but their quirks had been nullified. Aizawa's scarf picked the three up and spun them in the air before forcing the three to clash heads with each other. He kept on fighting and Emiri found herself watching the fight with wide eyes, wishing she had her notebook with her.

"Koyama! Come on, we have to get out of here!" Someone shouted and Emiri looked over her shoulder seeing Uraraka looking back at her, panicked.

"No... I'll be fine." She said, an eerily calm expression on her face.

Uraraka looked at her, "K-Koyama- what do you m-mean?" She asked.

Emiri blinked, then tilted her head. "I mean, Aizawa and Thirteen are with us, right? Aizawa can handle himself down below and Thirteen can use their quirk to get villains away from us with the suction of their quirk. Besides, being this close to a battle is perfect for me to get some mental notes down."

"True but, it's still dangerous to stay here." Uraraka said, walking up to Emiri and grabbing her arm, "Now let's go, Koyama."

Emiri hesitated before she nodded, "Alright. Let's head out of here." She said, running alongside Uraraka and heading towards the doors. Though before they could reach the door, the misty villain appeared in front of them, causing all of them to stop in their tracks and stare up at him.

"There is no escape for you." He said. "It's a pleasure to meet you. We are The League of Villains. I know it's impolite but we decided to invite ourselves into this haven of Justice to say hello. And besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the symbol of Peace to take his last breath? I believe he was supposed to be here today and yet I see no sign of him. There must of been some change of plans that we could not of foreseen." He started to expand, and surrounded the class in a dome of dark purple mist. "Ah, well, I suppose it doesn't matter. I still have a role to play."

Thirteen raised their hand, and one of the caps on his fingers opened he seemed to be ready to attack but instead stopped in their tracks, the white orbs in their helmet widening. Both Bakugo and Kirishima had jumped in front of the rest of the class, Kirishima's arm hardening and explosions coming out of Bakugo's hands.

"Get back you two!" Thirteen shouted, just as the two of them made contact and smoke rose up from Bakugo's explosions.

"You live up to your school's reputation." The man said, and it was clear that the attack didn't effect him at all once the smoke settled. "But you should be more careful children. Otherwise, someone might get hurt."

"You two, get out of the way right now!" Thirteen shouted.

Before anyone could make a move the whole class was starting to get surrounded by darkness. "I'll scatter you across this facility to meet my comrades and your death!"

As everyone around her started falling through the ground, Emiri felt herself be surrounded by some sort of cover and in the blink of an eye she was outside of the dome, wrapped in Shoji's arms.

"Thanks." She said quietly as he placed her down on the ground.

"Don't mention it." He said, unraveling the arms on his other side to let Sero onto the ground, he ripped off some tape at his elbow and Emiri looked to see that Mina had been dragged out by the black haired boy as he was grabbed by Shoji. Looking around she saw that both Uraraka and Iida had gotten out of the dome of mist as well.

It looked like some of them had escaped the portals, and Emiri glanced down the stairs at the chaos happening below her. She clenched her fists and hoped that everything went by smoothly.
