"Are you ready?,"Kira asks breaking the silence that has existed between us since we arrived. The entire car ride I've been thinking about all of the scenarios of what's about to happen. Not one ends in a fairytale ending.

"I never imagined being on the opposite side for some reason despite how much I hated my father," I murmur

"Yeah, I definitely never saw myself to be where I am right now, but we were forced into this predicament by their hands not ours. It is what it is and this is what we're trained to do despite who's the target," Kira bluntly says.

She's right this was all their doing from the very beginning to now. I just wish Kira didn't get dragged because of me. She's always been loyal to the bloodline and after she got betrayed it must of been really hard on her. To fully commit to a side just to be thrown like you never mattered. All she did for them as if it didn't count for anything.

"There's no one else I would want by my side through this," I say as I look at her.

"Ride or die," she winks as I nod.

I turn back seeing Mr. Castillo arrive as planned. This is the sign, location has been confirmed and it's time to start making our way in. I watch underboss exit the car leading his men into the warehouse. My heart starts to beat fast wanting to follow suit to make sure he is alright through all of this. I'm in no way questioning his ability whatsoever, but I'm overprotective of him now. I want him to survive in the end of all of this.

"Let's go," I hastily say wanting to not stay too behind. Once out of the car, we rush towards the warehouse, which is immediately met with shotguns noises that causes Kira and I to drop down. Once we see they're coming from the inside. We're up to our feet rushing inside with our guns ready to fire at all threats.

As we head inside I see two of Romanov's men rushing towards us the moment they see us approaching. I run letting myself slide as I drop kick one of the men's legs as Kira does the same towards the other man. Standing up immediately I start fighting my opponent using all of my training throughout the years. Today, no mercy will be shown because mine along with the survival of the others depend on it.

I get hit here and there as Romanov makes sure all that serves him is well trained, so the battles to come will not be a walk through the park. Grabbing my gun from the ground I pull the trigger ending him once and for all. As I hear footsteps stomping towards me my heart starts to beat irregularly. An adrenaline I'm all too familiar with.

I look at the man that launches at me backing up kneeing till he falls on his knees wincing in pain. I quickly look up seeing another running towards me. A look of pure hatred for me plastered all over his face. I immediately jump up and over the man with all of my force. My legs locking around the other man's neck as I pull down twisting my body throwing him onto the ground harshly. Standing firmly I grab my gun shooting both men.

I hear screams coming from down the hallway. I run towards the echoes of screams until my eyes land on Lucero who has been overpowered by two men. Padilla comes from the other hallway opposite of me, which causes the two men to be aware of our presence.

As Padilla launches himself at one of the men I decide to launch myself catching the attention of the other who throws Lucero onto the ground. As the man's arms lift ready to grab me I drop to my knees sliding down forward as I turn around throwing black kunai ninja throwing knives, which all three strike him as he turns to face me. I watch as life leaves his body as he collapses onto the ground. Padilla throws a hard blow to the other man knocking him down. Padilla aims his gun at him immediately releasing a bullet straight to the man's head.

"So this is the real you?," Padilla says as he looks at my armor.

"No, this is what I was made to be," I pointedly respond as Padilla just stays silent observing me. Gunshots are heard from all sides causing Padilla and I to drop to the floor. I lift my head trying to see where they're coming from.

"This way," Padilla utters as he makes a run for it. I follow behind him as the gunshots start to fade. After a minute of running we finally see where the whole commotion is coming from. We come face to face with Atalia who has Aviana in handcuffs as Atalia tries to sneak out from the back door of a room where I hear the gunshots echoing.

"You," I seethe through my teeth. Atalia freezes as her hazel eyes bounce off between Padilla and I. She reminds me of a deer caught in headlights knowing the Castillos will have her head for this.

"I rescued her," Atalia utters as I watch Aviana express the most annoyed face expression I've seen from her. Padilla approaches Aviana taking off the thick tape from her mouth.

"She's full of shit! She's working with them," Aviana informs as Padilla is now her guard. Atalia's natural skin color completely drains from her looking pale as if she is about to pass out in front of us.

"I swear he made me do it," she panicky says to Padilla.

"We'll see what the Castillos have to say about that," I respond as Atalia throws a death glare towards me.

"Take them to safety," I tell Padilla, which he instantly obeys as Aviana is top priority for this mission. As they disappear down the hallway I'm interrupted by a sound. As my head turns back to the sound of where the noise is coming from. I feel my body freeze completely. Temperatures of hot and cold is felt all at the same time. My stomach turning completely upside down.

My father stands a few feet away from me. His blue sky eyes pinning me down with so much hatred. I can tell how much he has planned for me. If I thought he hated my existence before now he definitely would burn me alive at this very moment if he could.

"You had one job and you couldn't even do that," he seethes.

"I can say the same about you being a father," I respond. My father immediately clenches his jaw as he stares me down.

"I never wanted you. I warned you Amoret. I'm going to do what I should of done the moment I found out you were going to be a girl and a whore at that," he says as he pulls out his gun aiming it towards me. Suddenly, we're both interrupted by underboss calling my name from afar, which I take advantage to run. A gunfire is heard from behind me, but I immediately make a right turn at the end of the hallway dodging the bullet that was meant for me.

Seeing the exit, I run out and into the alleyway. It's now dark and all I can see is the car Kira and I came in. I run as fast as I can as my heart pounds heavily. I hear from a distance once again underboss calling my name following another call from Kira. I'm relieved to hear they're both safe and can't wait to meet them.

However, the universe had other plans for me. As I'm suddenly tackled from the side by a strong and big figure. We both fall down harshly almost leaving me out of breathe from the hard impact I just received. As I look up wincing in pain my eyes lock with dark blue ones that seem almost dark due to night.

Graudyn

As soon as I tried to scream for help and make a run for it. Graudyn's hand covers my mouth silencing me as the other arm has me completely in a lock. I tried my best to fight him off, but this is one I have never been able to take on. He's too strong for me.

"Hello my beloved fiancé. We finally reunite," his deep voice murmurs besides my ear. I try to wiggle out from his grip, but I am unsuccessful.

"You've been such a bad girl, but don't worry I will fix that," he says before I'm harshly turned around.

Before I could scream or even react. My face meets his closed fist that strikes me with full force completely knocking me out as my body collapses onto the ground. As my world is black not having any sense of my body. I hear my father's voice come into play.

"You got her?"

"Let me handle this from here," Graudyn says.

"The planned worked," Romanov chuckles along with Graudyn.

"It indeed did."

And that's when I knew this wasn't about capturing Aviana to hurt the Castillos.

This was all done to capture me.

I know it's been a very long time since I've updated this story and my other stories. If y'all have read my life updates on here and on my writer's IG page you have been informed of why.

I am so proud and glad I have graduated from university obtaining my bachelors degree with honors (magna cum laude). I was so burnt out this last senior year and especially this last semester. Everything was so hard with balancing full time work/internship, school, and my personal life. I decided to take a year break or so from pursuing my masters degree due to having to see how I can financially afford it and wanting to recharge before committing to that. This vacation from school is super needed and I hope to get back to updating my stories to once a week again. However, I am experiencing writer's block due to being so burnt out from school, so please be patient with me as I'm recharging and taking my vacation with ease.
