There is a world that is ruled by 4 elements of nature: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. It is said that nature once made a gift of those elements in the shape of powers to four newborns, to help others and protect the world from its wrongdoers. Humanity started inheriting those powers as it grew and evolved, going from four children to millions, leaving nobody behind with no special abilities.

The people that channeled Fire were called Pyres, they were generally built strong and intimidating, they had pitch black hair and their eyes glowed golden when they displayed their abilities. They were seen to be the scariest and most dangerous because of the hazardous nature of their element.

Water users were Liquis. They had silver hair, and their eyes glowed light blue upon using water. They were elegant, kind, and altruistic. They were known for their medical and medicinal skills. The most liked people amongst the elementalists.

For Earth it was Theras, they were goofy and playful, their hair was shades of brown and their eyes turned green because of their element. They were popular with animals and nature in general.

Finally Air, whose people were named Vals. They were quiet and smart, they loved to learn new things, but their fighting abilities weren't always impressive so they mostly worked as strategists or scientists.

With time however, the idea that nobody was special anymore and that everyone was equally gifted started spreading in all places. Some people silently agreed, others thought mother nature's army was meant to grow, but 12 especially believed there was a need for even more powerful people to insure that sort of protection in the world.

That group of 12 was called The Illumination Circle, and was made of sets of three people from each element. The circle believed that the primary elements were merely a mean to achieving real power, and their ways were frowned upon as they involved the very thing that went against the laws of nature, magic. The members were called witches and sorcerers, and those whose identities were discovered were wanted dead or alive.

They created a spell that was made to choose someone special who could become master of all four elements. That person needed to progressively learn to use this ability, but in doing so would come great wisdom and balance to the world.

They performed it on a magical night, binding their elements into one until fire suddenly started on their linked hands, water came out of their eyes as tears, the ground beneath them shook, and air was caught in their lungs as they uttered the last words. They died to fulfill their purpose.

The night of the spell was called the Night of the Black Star for the appearance of a dark spot in the sky. But to the unknowing townsfolk, it was the night of the dragon since they witnessed a beautiful creature made of the four elements fly, lighting the sky up with a million sparks.

The type of wielders that could use all four elements was called Allura, they are supposed to be the most balanced and powerful creature in the world. However, since The Illumination Circle used magic to create such a power, they were called cursed and were shunned from societies. In all the years after the spell, only 8 known Alluras appeared.

Stories about them travelled like a myth from one generation to the other, they were so rare that most people telling the tale have never been in the same geographic zone as one. They were described as monsters in one area, as victims of a curse in another, but all places agreed that their existence was wrong.

There happened to be a small book about the circle and its beliefs in details, as well as the consequences of the spell. It was transcribed in a few hundreds after discovery and distributed around the world just like a fiction. It was sold expensive and only the wealthy or extremely interested would own it.

No one knew where the author got that information, matter of fact, the book was signed anonymously, only to inform people of the name and characteristics of the chosen ones.
