"Welcome to our usual 3-day auction of the year guys, gals, and non-binary pals."

The cheer of the crowd was enough to let the three bewildering. It was incredibly uncommon to find a whole crowd of vampires similar to them and in this pacifist atmosphere. It almost made everything eerie.

"Are you sure they are-?"

"I assume so Morality."

"Hey, isn't the host the guy that was at the door?"

"Huh?"

Virgil smiles through his anxiety and lack of a yellow mask. The only protection between his identity and himself being a thick dark eyeshadow below his eyes, small plastic fangs, and the distance between him and the public. The unintentional risk being done because of adrenaline. The business his family conducts wasn't necessarily legal, but it will not make the police engage in the need for arrests. It also didn't help the justice system that the family had a handful of chief officers, best of the best lawyers, and a few government buyers as their customers and contacts. A few gorey sites also serve to conserve their interest, but they mostly come for the quality.

"A few exquisite elections have been chosen for your own enjoyment." He smiles as he signals for one of the selections to be prepare and bring to the stage. "You know the usual rules. If anyone pinches your interest, say your bid."

A thin young woman is brought to the stage in a white fancy dress.

"50 thousand!"

"100 thousand!"

"101 thousand"

The bids keep rising like wildfire leaving Virgil a bit dumb fold, but he quickly fixes himself.

"2 Million!"

The room falls into silence.

Virgil asks the silent room, "Anyone, more than 2 Million?" After waiting for a second he smiles. "Sold!" He shouts as the bidder gets escort into a dark room and the woman follows.

A gorgeous male is brought into stage and the cycle is repeat, only this time the bids keep getting higher.

Once the sell reaches its end, Virgil leaves the stage to get the highest and pricier person to sell for the day, Lu Smith.

"Having fun, huh, bitch?" He shouts as Virgil ignores him and unties the ropes.

The emo doesn't even manage to finish before the tallest throws himself at him and begins to choke him out and fight him. The mixture of tears, sweat, and blood from the fight destroy his makeup. A few pieces of his suit get broken apart as he throws various punches and kicks to free himself. They, unfortunately, didn't seem to work against someone who was well use to pain and knew how to fight.

"Boss ...?" The hush voice of his older sister as her high heels click through the whole backstage make Virgil's eyes fill with tears as a hand covers his mouth as he tries to shout. The plastic fangs getting pop off his teeth by the pressure.

Lu only seems to smirk before he carelessly grabs the leader and walks out. Once he reaches the stage he slaps him against the cold wooden tiles.

The crowd only looks at him in abhor. The way they bear their fangs showing hate towards his behavior. The myriad of snipers in the room all pointing towards him. The whispers carelessly hidden.

"Good early dawn ladies and gentlemen." He begins "Why don't we begin with 10 million for him."

The sharp footsteps of the family of the heir wash over his ears as the sound of guns getting to fire on signal forces a wave of euphoria to wash over him.

"Fine, how about a thousand ?!"

"Lu Smith, you better-"

"10 bucks! Come on folks, I can go even cheaper for him!" He kneels and carelessly takes the face of the fellow heir between his hands. A handgun pressing itself to the side of Virgil's head. "If you shoot, I may slip and press the trigger so come on ー 1 dollar!"

Virgil's face was clearly expose to the crowd. His make-up having been wash away and his suit had been turn into an average one. His heels taken off by the fight. He looks pathetic and the matching look he had to force for the sake of not looking out of the part made the feeling worse. The sound of the barrel turning as the trigger got gently press. "50 cents!"

His parents and sister froze by the threat and attempt to find a way around it. The crowd in shock at the out of nowhere event. It was clear that the bidders weren't going to bid for Virgil.

It was a weak and gentle whisper, but it was there. "I bid for him." Patton will have to lie to say those four words weren't the bitterest he had ever said. They made him sick to his stomach and twisted in a way he didn't know it could be twist.

Lu only smiles before throwing Virgil like a rag doll in Patton's direction. Virgil had to force himself to not perform one of his obnoxious tricks to land standing up like a cat. The group of three didn't even have time to blink before the youngest slaps into the floor. Patton jolts from his seat.

[▫▫▫▫ ▫▫▫▫]

The floor was bitterly cold. The metallic taste of his own blood almost choking him down. He wasn't about to spit the liquid near the three due to its darken hue. Instead, no matter how gross it was, he drank it back down. His eyes gingerly met those of his masters since he had been fully entitle to them after being bid. He almost looks back down as Patton jumps into dad mode and out of his seat.

"K-Kiddo?" Patton asks, tears forming on his eyes, as he carefully picks up the youngest. He was already ready to go and leave this auction. His hands securing him to evade Virgil accidently slipping from his tight grasp.

He turns to his friends but before he can manage to emit a sound a loud bang rings. The shouts and people running for an exit.

Why?

Patton wonders silently. They could have overpower everything. His eyes met the stage where a pungent smell reaks from. The human wilding the weapon falling to the floor. The side of his head bleeding as a slight trace of a silver bullet is seen.

Logan and Roman are both at his side in least than an instant.
