Ethan  and Maddie sit in a motel room, profoundly depressed about the death of Shaun, his only remaining son and her only remaining step-son. Tortured by guilt and sadness, and with dozens of origami figures scattered around the room, Ethan and Maddie execute themselves using the guns from the Shark Trial.
