[Tekoa Town]

Upon seeing the demon walking towards them, the scared surviving residents they draw back in fear as they were afraid of the demon itself. After all they did witness the monster taking down the people protecting them one by one and by the state they were in, they were good as dead.

As the residents begun to scream in fear and huddled together, Asamaveth on the other hand begun to grew worried while Talia snuck tightly under Ban's clothes.

"What do we do?" Asked by Asmaveth as he drowned in fear

"I... I don't know" replied by Ban as she tried to stabilize her emotions after sewing Sato and Takahashi being taken down by the monster

Both of them are at the brink of their life, if nothing helps them now, then they will die for sure. However because of the demon right in front of her, she couldn't even move from her position as she stabilize the barrier around them.

In order to cast the barrier, she needed to stay still on her position and hold her ground, the moment she even takes a step from her position, the spell supporting the barrier would then break which will cause a backlash within her mana circuits. Due to that she was helpless in this situation.

In that moment, the demon then stood before the barrier, as it raised its fist and begun to punch the barrier with pure strength alone. After the first strike which sounded like something big had hit the barrier, Ban felt the barrier itself shook from the attack, as she begun to pour more mana into the barrier which strained her mana circuits.

But not long after the demon then punched the barrier once more with immense force, which shook the barrier once more. After this the demon continued its attack with a huge interval in between, sending ripples of shockwave throughout the surface of the barrier which was felt by Ban herself.

After a minute of repeated normal punches, the demon then begun to stretch out his hand, as it then begun to imbued his fist with demonic mana around it, and strike the barrier with a powerful blow.

Due to that a huge shockwave reverberated across the area as the ground shook and the barrier showed its first signs of breaking.

Upon hearing the sharp crisp sound of something breaking, not only were the residents begun to scream and back away, Ban on the otherhand became shocked and surprised as she quickly repaired the barrier itself by pouring more mana into it.

The moment she did this, the demon then grew angry as he imbued his fist once more and begun rapidly punching the barrier over and over again, sending waves after waves of shock.

Due to that the barrier begun to break even more faster, which demanded Ban to hasten her repairs in order to counter the breaking area of the barrier.

From that point on veins begun to appear on Ban's arms and eyes, as she strained her body to fully support the barrier from breaking itself.

After quite some time, the demon realizes just how durable the barrier itself, as it quickly backed away and try another method to break in. If physical force was not enough to break in, then he has no choice but to usea powerful energy to break through the durable barrier.

Gathering demonic mana from his whope body towards his mouth, light then begun to appear on its mouth, as the atmosphere in the surroundings begun to thicken from how much the demon condensed the energy into a single attack.

Using its claws to anchor himself down on the ground, the demon then shot out the attack like a cannon, as the laser like blast squarely hit the barrier itself.

In just one impact, Ban immediately felt the shockwave reverberating throughout her body, as she strained herself and begun pouring out more mana in order to stabilize the barrier. However due to how strong the attack was, her repairs couldn't keep up at all, as the barrier started breaking apart all over the area.

Upon seeing this added to the panic screams of the residents, Ban then tried her best to maintain the barrier despite  her whole body screaming in pain.

"Gaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!"

Screaming out to alleviate her pain, veins around her body became even more apparent as her nose begun to bleed and her mouth begun dripping out of blood.

In that moment as if something tipped over the balance between the two, something popped within her, as blood splurt out from her eyes, nose, mouth, fingers, and pores, causing her to lose focus and the barrier break down. Luckily for the people inside it the demon's attack also ceased at the same time as the barrier broke which prevented damage in the area.

However despite the success from blocking that attack, Ban was completely immobilized, as she lost her hearing and her body begun to fall apart. From there no matter how much Asmaveth calls out her name now Talia shook her bloodied clothes, she couldn't respond at all as her consciousness fades while kneeling down on the ground.

Upon seeing that Ban was taken down, Asmaveth couldn't help but click his tongue, as he was then the last one standing between him and the surviving residents of the town.

Him who was once ostracized by the town and was chased away, he then has no choice but to defend them from an even greater threat right before him. After all everyone was down for the count and he was the only one left to stand against the demon itself.

Realizing this fact, Asmaveth then quickly gathered up his courage as he controlled the golems he had created and commanded them to attack the demon itself.

But the moment he turned around, the demon was right in front of him, as it easily stopped the golems attacks by destroying them in just a matter of few seconds.

The golems didn't even last a single second against the demon, he was completely defenseless.

Stricken by shock, Asmaveth took a second to analyze the situation he was in, as he grits his teeth and tried to punch the demon itself, however before his attack could land a hit, the demon suddenly pierced its claws through his body, fully expecting Asmaveth to die. Of course anyone who got their body pierced through by such an attack would have indeed died on the spot. However Asmaveth was not anyone.

Due to the special constitution of his body and the unknown source of energy on him, Asmaveth as the embodiment of evil death, is practically immortal. Meaning the moment he was turned into this state, he won't be able to die by any means necessary.

With that instead of screaming in pain, Asmaveth simply laughed at his circumstances, as he touched the demon's arm causing decay to appear within the touched area.

Upon seeing this, the demon begun to grow wary of Asmaveth as he threw Asmaveth to the side and quickly cuts off its rotten arm. After that using some demonic means, it then regenerated its cut off arm before facing Asmaveth who was laughing at the demon.

"You can't kill me, I already tried.... there's nothing in this world that could kill me"

As Asmaveth was thankful at his immortality in this very moment, the demon itself found Asmaveth skills to be quite annoying as it simply gathered mana into his hand and blasted a powerful attack towards Asmaveth which caused and explosion and will take time for his body to repair itself.

With everyone down for the count and Asmaveth was temporarily neutralized, the demon then proceeded to ignore the two person who seemed dead on the ground and fully focused on the screaming residents who lost all hope and begun running away from the area.

Due to this panicked situation, the demon then begun to smile like a maniac as it rushed towards the fleeing residents and begun its slaughter. From there all manner of screams echoed throughout the area, as people die on the hands of the demon.

No one was spared, whether it was man, woman, elderly, or children, everyone died. They were slashed, bitten off, blown up in one strike, stomped to death, decapitated in one pull of its head, strangled, and even mutilated. All manner of sick killing was done, none was spared even infants were popped in a single step of its foot.

Not long after the last scream turned silent, as an evil laughter followed after from the killing it had made. After that the demon begun absorbing their souls, as his whole being was nourished, and he grew even more powerful than before.

However as he continues to absorb the souls of the people he killed, he noticed one single Talia moving inside Ban's clothes through its sharp senses and realized that it had missed one target.

Without a second thought, the demon suddenly appeared before Ban's body, as he felt the presence of a small soul hiding within Ban's robes.

But just as the demon stretched out its hand to grab the person hiding within the siantess robes, he then suddenly stopped on its tracks as his eyes were shaking in distraught after recognizing the child within Ban's robes.

The lottel girls was crying in fear while hiding inside Ban's clothes, what's more she was muttering something within her breath as if she was sure that the person she was calling out, would indeed save her.

"Papa! Help me! Please save me! Papa!!!"

Even though her voice was small, but with the demon's enhanced hearing, it had completely heard her cry, making the demon waver as it touched a single soul within its hollowed heart.

Right like that unknown to Talia, she was calling out for Ester that was being consumed by the demon's power and begun to somewhat fight back to take control.

His daughter was calling out to him, she needed him, a paternal instincts flared within him, as Ester couldn't believe how he had forgotten another treasure in his life. He was so blinded by his lost that he cant even see his own daughter. Because of her daughters cry, he couldn't help but suddenly wake up from the illusion he is currently drowned in.

Due to his human soil fighting back, the demon staggered back by a few steps as it clutched its head and screamed in pain. Both the demon's soul and human soul were fighting against each other for control and neither of them wanted to back down from this struggle.

From there Ester soul realized that he wouldn't be able to fully take back his body, due to that he then has no choice but to hinder the demon's soul back in order to protect his daughter. His only wish was that someone to kill him before the demon could fully regain control of the body. If his death was the only way to protect his daughter, then Ester wouldn't spare a single thought to do just that.

In that moment as if answering his prayer, Asagi then came down from the sky with chains suddenly striking down from above and chaining up the demon's body, as she then noticed Ester's soul trying to hold back the demon inside of him.

Not long after looking at his state and the fact that Talia was calling out to him, Asagi then understood the situation, as she  then walked towards the demon and looked at him in the eye. From there, the moment the demon looked at her, she then also saw Ester soul completely giving in as he recognized one of his companions along the way.

"Your.... your Asagi right?"

"......"

"Please.... please kill me... its the only way to save my daughter.... please have mercy..."

Hearing Ester's cry for help, Asagi then slowly walked towards him and placed her hand on the demon's head. With heavy feeling, she then begun to chant a spell which is specified for cleansing any evil it was casted upon. Of course cleansing is the same as eradication. In this term using this spell, Asagi would be killing Ester himself.

This was the only way for her to stop the demon in her current self.

"Winds of mercy, skies of grace,
Blessed light, so pure, so true,
Guide us now in all we do.

After Asagi said those words a huge pillar of light rose up towards the sky as it completely illuminated a huge area of the continent and purified the targeted evil. From there the demon within Ester's body screamed in pain, as it tried to ran away and find a new host. However Ester tightly grasped on the demon's soul, as he never let go and was determined to perish alongside the demon.

It had killed far too many, so it was time to die with it. Alongside it, he can also feel himself being vaporized away, as his whole life flashed before his eyes and he met his wife at the very end of his recollection.

She was smiling at him, stretching out her arms at him, he felt at comfort, he felt at peace. With his last words he then turned towards Asagi while looking at his duaghter for one last time.

"Please take care of her"
